First time I have eaten here, at any schlotzskys. I thought it was good. I got the half sandwich soup deal. I like the toasted bun and the tomatoes basil soup was good. However people in my group have eaten at schlotzskys frequently and said it was not good. They said the bread was not the same and the sandwich was not as good as it usually is. I thought it was good and would come back. It was a bit pricy for a sandwich but good enough for me to come back alone without my sandwich snob friends. I'm not a huge fan of Schlotzsky's and it's been several years since I had one of the original sandwiches. Since this was a break in out trip and we had to gas up it was convenient. I forgot how' much I truly enjoyed the original sandwich. I was on as conference call waiting in our vehicle and it seemed like a long time to make two sandwiches. There was no one there so I didn't understand the wait. It was 14+ minutes until my travel partner came back to the vehicle. My call ended and I went inside to use the rest room. Quite surprised as the reviews I've read weren't good. We took a chance and glad we did. The employees were friendly and did a great job getting our order out correctly and quickly. They're were 7 of us and it was a pretty fast process. We got there about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant looked pretty decent even with the busy Sunday lunch crowd. Our food was good. Genuinely the worst Schlotzsky's I have ever set foot in. First of all, EIGHT customers walked out before getting their food before we got in line. The cashier was rude, my cheese pizza- which is normally a favorite of mine- was almost completely drenched in marinara sauce with a few pieces of shredded cheese. There was also an onion in it. My cookie had frosting from a Cinnabon on it, meaning it was handled by the same hand, which is unsafe. The cashier, a redhead with a Harry Potter tattoo, also screamed at a coworker while we were seated. Hostile environment, horrible service, great fountain drinks though! Loved my sprite. read more

The reviews are brutal for this place. I get it. Service is not expedient and to make matters worse you've got hungry mouths to feed. Choices are limited but I was glad that this Schlotzsky's location saved the day for my family. Yes it's a bit more pricey but everything is getting pricey. The quality was great for the price that you pay. We didn't get the meal. Just the sandwiches to feed everyone in the car and so it was more affordable that way. And we ate in the car to socially distance ourselves. To get our food was a real treat. We didn't take it for granted. We were in and out with our food and for that we give this place five stars. To whom it may concern As a distinguished patron of many a fast food establishment I have, in my time, experienced the ocasional disappointment. This was not one of them. This was a war crime. After filling gas, the location of the restaurant was a convenient stop and having had schlotskys in the past figured it would be a good treat. Red flags went up immediately. A glance around revealed grubby finger stains covering every glass surface accented by food waste on every table and the floor. The cashier was stunned by the my travel companion's "exotic" name: Sydney (later to be pronounced Signey). Though chips were ordered, they were not included. When asking my name I repeated 3 times, spelled it out and repeated again only to have the chip flavors blasted at me rapid fire before I could say I just wanted regular potato chips. All could be forgiven yet we only dived deeper into culinary disaster when the 3rd in my party had the audacity to order vegetarian with, dare I say it, avocado!!! A brisk 20 minute wait later our sandwiches began to arrive. First Signey, then myself, and finally the veggie lover. The first two orders were lackluster, but what we asked for, yet the vegetarian meal was slightly on the carnivorous side. The omission of the chocolate cookie a nearly literal slap in the face. Retrieval of the cookie, an order correction, and a 10 minute wait later we discovered another assault on our patronage. The all holy avocado, a dollar add on, was once again withheld! Once again we were forced to confront the cashier only to have "Damion" in the back repeatedly yell at us that he for sure put avocado on the sandwich. This is the first time in my long career of fast food eatery that I've had an employee yell at me from the kitchen after they fouled an order. Not wishing to continue the scene we retreated to our table only for another customer to saunter up to the counter to complain about having avocado, which they didn't order, put on their sandwich. In conclusion, it is this authors opinion this may be the worst fast food joint west of the Mississippi. A combination of filth, rudeness, ineptness, and downright negligence makes the Sweetwater Scholtskys a particularly intense variety of terrible. I ordered just a Cinnabon at the drive thru. I waited over 15 minutes and I was the only car in line. Then I had to wait over five minutes for the attendant to give me my change back. I paid $6 for a delicious Cinnabon. What I received was anything but . It was stale, dry , old and tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks. All of the reviews are just like mine. Completely horrible service and customer service attitude! I walked in to the restaurant, and there were approximately 10 other customers in there. When I went to the counter, I waited for five minutes for someone to show up. When they did show up, they said we can't serve you for 30 more minutes because we just got a catering order in. I asked them if they were serious she said yes it will be at least 30 more minutes so we can't serve you. They were rude, unapologetic, and completely, oblivious to the fact that they lost business, and not just our business, several other families that came in to order were turned away in like manner. I usually never leave a bad review but this Schlotzsky's was the absolute worst I've ever been too. The cleanliness was terrible. There was food all over the sauce bottles in the kitchen from the employees not changing gloves or cleaning anything off, food and crumbs everywhere, super disorganized kitchen. They used the same knife for everyone's order without wiping it or washing between orders, same with the table after food comes off the oven tray. The tables and chairs were so dirty, no one was cleaning anything. The bathrooms were just as gross. My BBQ chicken pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had. We came here today and I'm not sure if the guy behind the counter was the manager or the owner (wearing blue jeans and tan polo company shirt) but it was the BEST customer service I've ever seen. It's a small location with the line to the door but he was not pushy or rude like most staff get during busy hours, he was incredibly kind and had a huge smile on his face taking each persons order. I live locally and had not been here in a while, but decided to see if the complaints about lack of cleanliness were true. Yeppers....the place was a mess, the time was about 1:15 pm, and the store was not crowded. Floors, littered and sticky, drink area was the same way. Most of the available tables had not been cleared or wiped, all trash receptacles were full to the brim or overflowing. Windows, napkin dispensers, hot sauce bottles, virtually everything in the place needs to be cleaned. I saw only 3 employees and the franchise owner, who used to work there, was absent. I suggest he keep a closer eye on his investment. It was an embarrassment for our little town. On the up side....the men's room was not awful, the food was acceptable other than the price. All 3 employees on phones (including who appeared to be the manager). When our order was taken, the drink machine was out of Coke and Dr. Pepper products. Ummmm yeah talk about poor piss management on their part I mean really if you knew you had a big party to cater 1st of all you bring in more people to help besides only two people and 2nd your paying customers who show up at 5pm should be your number 1 priority but honestly it seems like every fast food joint in this town has gone to crap. I was very disappointed in this restaurant!! I ordered a turkey sandwich with jalapeño bread, cheese, spicy mustard and absolutely NO veggies!!! I didn't get the jalapeño bread, cheese or spicy mustard but I did get a whole lot of veggies!! My mom ordered a turkey sandwich with no lettuce and she got a a bunch of lettuce on hers!!! When they completed our order, they told him they did not have any au jus sauce.....which they could have told him when they ordered it before they made the sandwich.
