Order at the counter. There's a fairly large menu, consisting of both plates and sandwiches. I was in a rush so just ordered a shawarma pita (also can get this as a hoagie or in a wrap). There was a decent amount of meat, and a fairly large selection of veggies and sauces to add. Good value at only $10 (including tax). The stars have aligned. Schnitzel Express is my favorite restaurant of 2025! Amazing, and I still smell like bbq. Choosing to dine in, I was enthralled by their display of veggies. You get 4x selection of veggies with their Wally Mix Grill. Meat flame grilled to a perfection. Chicken shish, beef shish, chicken shawarma, and kofta. The smokiness of their flavored meat is a big win. Falafel as a side was scrumptious and not too salty. Chicken shawarma on top of hummus was my personal favorite. Flavorful, a great texture combination with juicy shawarma and smooth yet dense hummus. Did I mention portion sizes are very generous? I have a meal for the next day or two that I'll gladly consume. I have to add that they get a lot of foot traffic. Good sign. Ingredient turnover must be frequent. Made me rest assured they are frequently cooking up fresh items. Their pricing is not bad. Schnitzel express has excellent food. Everything we ordered was made to order and extremely fresh. This place isn't a fancy establishment by any means but that doesn't stop it from offering extremely fresh food and excellent service (even in these extremely hot days). There are no waiters but you just go to counter order what you want and they'll bring it to your table (there's about 4/5 tables in the place). I am always on the hunt for good Mediterranean/middle eastern food and this place is another delight. It's located right off Getty Ave and is in a shopping center so there is ample parking. Of course we had to try a variety of items so we ordered Baba Ghanoush, Fattosh, hummus with Shawarma, and Shish Tawook. Everything was fresh and made to order. All of the serving sizes where good to share and the services was friendly. I can't forget the prices. I love this place so much. The food is delicious and always fresh. Our favorite order is the Wally's mixed grill and when we get it it lasts a few days between two of us. My only complaint with the service is that they are unpredictable when it comes to opening. Some days they are open, some they aren't. First time there. I love me some good kufta. I walked in after seeing the delicious pictures and immediately was welcomed by the amazing aroma. I walked straight up to the owners and showed them a picture of the Wally mix platter with a bunch of salad sides. They knew what to do! I also got the hummus and the potato's borak. I have no words. SIMPLY DELICIOUS. While leaving on a FULL STOMACH with leftovers too, they asked about our experience and made it very personable. High recommend! read more

We ordered a schnitzel platter, falafel pita and two appetizers, hummus with chicken schwarma and Moroccan cigars. The food was excellent, particularly the hummus, schwarma and falafel. The platter comes with your choice of salads. The owner or staff person gave us a small portion of pickles and carrots with the apps while we were waiting. The food is fresh and reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. (My step-son took home a nice doggie bag.). The staff was great. They must have asked us three times how everything was. I would have given this 4 1/2 stars if it was an option. My only reservation about giving them five stars was the pita was a bit moist. (I'm thinking they popped it in the mic, but it wasn't quite fully warm either. ), and while the cigars were fine, I've had better. I'd definitely consider going back if I'm in the area! read more

Schnitzel Platter ($10.99): Two whole schnitzels drizzled with a white sauce over fluffy yellow rice and four types of side salads? Sign me up! Both cutlets were tender, while the sesame-encrusted coating held together pretty well. Extra sauce on the side would be nice, though, since only the top schnitzel gets a drizzle of the creamy sauce. The four types of fresh cold salad included in the platters were so good! The falafel were made fresh, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and well seasoned throughout. Also, the price of 5/1$ can't be beat ! I'm used to paying 2/1$ prices elsewhere, so this was clearly a much better option. Falafel pita sandwich is amazing !! Super filling and affordable too. I love how soft the pita is here, different than what I'm used to. The service was fast and friendly as well. Though I didn't stay to eat-in, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very family friendly and totally casual. They also have outdoor seating. I checked out Schnitzel Express this past week for lunch, and I thought the food was pretty decent but I wasn't impressed by the service. Nobody greeted me when I walked in, and there's no visible register where you'd expect to walk up and place your order. I was left kind of standing there awkwardly looking up at the menu board with nobody acknowledging my existence for a few minutes. After a little bit, a guy who was seated and eating started talking me and asking me if I've been here before. "Oh," I thought. "Maybe this guy is an employee on his break!" No, no it was a customer who was just asking and making conversation. He recommended the Wally Mixed Grill. Finally, a guy came from the very back and took my order. I got the Moerav Sandwich, which had mixed beef, chicken and lamb on a roll and the menu board said it came with two sides. I took a seat at a table and waited. Finally, the guy goes to hand me a wrapped sandwich. He hasn't asked, but I planned on having it at the restaurant so he put the wrapped sandwich on a plate and handed it over. This thing was a mess, but it was VERY tasty. Whatever sauce they use on it is fantastic. Unfortunately, it also soaks the bread pretty thoroughly and makes it hard to keep together. They have a pretty appetizing looking salad setup that's visible, but nobody asked me which two sides I wanted with my food. I asked the guy behind the counter about it, and he said they only came with the platters but it's clearly posted on the sign that sandwiches come with two sides. I just wanted the mixed peppers and tomatoes and cucumbers, so he handed them over but looked pretty annoyed with me. Maybe I was here on an off day, but I felt somewhat like a burden being there. I just picked up my order and the food smells and looks delicious but unfortunately the staff does not wear masks (or gloves) to prepare the food. The guy was also very nice but again no masks when preparing or packaging the food. No masks when talking to customers. They have a type of salad bar with cold sides, no mask when serving that either. I am now afraid to eat the food I paid for. read more
