Schnucks grocery store was a good place to get some groceries. They had plenty of parking and I needed that as I was towing a car. I walked in to see if they had a certain soda , Mellow Yellow in bottles, not cans. They do not sell Mellow yellow at all. It's a Coke product but they don't sell it. I guess I wasn't far east or north enough. However I was east enough in the country to find that they sold Entenmann's devils food donuts. I use to get these all the time in Nevada but the no longer sell those particular ones in that region. I find that they are sold in the eastern part of the US. They do not have a rewards program where you have to enter your phone number to get a sale discount. That works because what if you're visiting and you don't have a store account. I travel often and find this to sometimes be a problem , not fair to those people just visiting the area. Here it's not a hassle. I was able to get my donuts that were on sale , but one get one free. I did self check out and that went very quick and was seamless. As I was shopping I was trying to find something and a worker saw me and immediately offered help and went to check the back. I thought that was great service to just jump in and offer help before being asked. If I'm in the area I would come back. read more

I like Schnucks, but store sets on a corner with bad left across 4 lane roads for both North and West bound traffic. This flaw and ALDI and Costco close kills this as aan option for stocking up or everyday items. This location does have friendly staff. Schnucks also has good seasonings. Great Clips, CVS pharmaceutical and a US bank is here also... fan, but I live Northwest of the location. read more

The smaller Schnucks of the two on Mid Rivers. Like the other one, you have to pay attention to what you buy, they may old product on the shelves not 'reduced for quick sale'. You're probably better off at the larger one on the south end of Mid Rivers unless you're driving by this one anyway or are nearby for some reason. Or if the other one is out of something. read more

Schnucks at 577 Mid Rivers Mall Drive: The butcher and the cashier were very friendly ... 5 stars. The Deli staff 0 stars. We arrived 15 minutes before 5:00 PM (closing time at the Deli) ... they already had a sign saying the Deli was closed but 2 ladies were there "SLOWLY" helping 2 customers. I asked one of them if she had time for 1 more. She didn't answer but did glare at me. She then wiped her nose with her right hand, wiped it on her apron and then "SLOWLY" walked off. We will NEVER purchase anything from Schnucks Deli again. Unsanitary, unsavory, unhealthy and truly disgusting. That woman needs to be fired immediately. read more

Let me start with this pharmacy staff is absolutely wonderful and this review in no way applies to them. That being said, this Schnucks is completely mismanaged. Constant turnover and new faces in the store unfortunately have led to poor stocking, short staffing at the register, and employees that don't know what they are doing. I have tried to speak to the manager on sever occasions but no luck. When I do manage to see him on the rare occasion he is walking around talking and chatting with other employees rather than contributing. The meat department has not had Italian sausage in MONTHS when we have been in there, and I'm sorry but I'm not making a special trip since it wasn't a one off incident. Tonight there was virtually no selection of chicken breasts. Of recently they have also rearranged many isles removing our household favorites, locking up liquor that would normally just be on the shelf, and even wasting half an aisle on GNC products. I'm not against these products but come on, half an aisle in which it's only half stocked anyway? Then we come to the issue that in half the aisles they just shove random products in the middle of the aisle where they don't belong. Two examples: 1) canned pumpkin in the middle of the pet aisle (dogs don't eat canned pumpkin), 2) barbies in the middle of the granola/protein bars. I'm tired of the complete complacency that is the store management, and while I have tried to be a loyal Schnucks customer, I AM DONE. I won't be visiting anymore. read more

In the past Schnucks sweet & spicy chicken wings have been my all time favorite & my entire families as well. We ordered them for every occasion. I understand that because of the pandemic the chicken wings were shut down for a while. So now that things are getting better I went back to my Schnucks for their wings. I was so disappointed! Someone must have changed the recipe because they were more buffalo style than the pre pandemic wings. They were even a different color. So I thought that maybe I will go to a different Schnucks & when I did I was just as disappointed. Please go back to the pre pandemic wings & you will see that your sales will definitely increase, in a very good way!!! Plus I will change my review. read more

This is my favorite supermarket. The shelves are always neat and well stocked. The meat looks good and the produce is consistently fresh. Some of the deli staff could use a little extra training in customer service, but overall, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They have a huge selection of beer, wine and liquor. I've gotten flowers from here a couple times before and they never disappoint. read more

Depending on the item and what is for sale, their prices generally trend a bit high for the area. You can do better for pricing elsewhere, unless an item you need/want is for sale, then strongly consider the item. However, the major issue with this store is cleanliness. I've noticed over the last several months that there are frequently produce items laying on the floor, food items in disarray on the shelves or knocked to the floor, and the bathrooms are never, ever clean an always smell horrible. In addition, while I understand the want/desire to try and upsell items at the checkout lanes, they are frequently more cluttered and crowded with items at most other stores. If they put a bit of effort into the store, it would be a much better and cleaner place to shop. I don't know if they are letting it go because there may be plans to renovate the store, or perhaps close and move it elsewhere, but just a bit more work in the place will go a long ways! read more

The only reason it got two stars was for the only two employees that treat customers like people and not like nuisances. Shout out to Bob, who works the express line. He's always personable and sweet and treats everyone like a friend or at least a valued customer. And I don't know her name, but the little dark haired lady with glasses who works the butcher shop. She's amazingly sweet and at least pretends she's happy to see you. I went in today and smiled and said "good morning" to four different employees, all of which looked at me like I was speaking Latin or something. I normally love Schnucks and felt at home at the Swansea, IL, O'Fallon, IL, and the Wentzville Schnucks for years. This one though, my new hometown Schnucks, always has me dreading getting groceries. The worst of which is a young lady with long, black hair that is just snippy and rude to everyone. I hate to be almost all complaints, but it sucks that I moved into such a great neighborhood, only to hate going to the Schnucks a block away. Sometimes I take the extra trip down to Cottleville just for a better shopping experience. I know the "experience" of grocery shopping seems trivial, but when you're in the grocery store 4+ times a week, it becomes a significant part of your day. read more

I attempted to purchase groceries in January 2017 at the Schnucks in St. Peters on Mid Rivers by Mexico. I ran my card and the screen said that the transaction went through. Then, the machine froze and wouldn't print a receipt, so the cashier rebooted the entire computer system. When the computer came back on, the computer said it needed payment. I said I wanted to make sure the card would not go through twice. That's when the Manager, Janet, came over. She repeatedly told me I would need to pay (again). I called my card and proved that it had just withdrawn the money and therefore I had already paid for it. She told me to just run it again. I told her that there's only a limited amount of money on the card; this money had to last another week. I could not afford to pay for these groceries twice and that it would keep us from getting food for the week. She very publicly tried to shame me, saying "You don't have the money to pay for these groceries? You have no other way to way pay for this?" She told me I could not have the food unless I ran my card again. I left the store humiliated and sobbing and without the food. This was to be our dinner that night and that weekend. I wrote to corporate about the situation and requesting a refund (because I did pay for the food and was not allowed to have it). After writing twice, corporate responded saying "I apologize you felt disappointed" and then told me that there was nothing they could do; I'd have to go to the store to get a refund. After 5 days, the store finally refunded me after I went up there. Schnucks had my name and address, but refused to mail me a check or even offer a genuine apology. And I went through 5 days of eating hot dogs and mac and cheese and worrying about how I was going to afford groceries - totally unfair since I had paid for groceries but wasn't allowed to have them. Plus, the store policy of humiliating someone about their financial situation is unacceptable. I shopped at this Schnucks for the last 10 years, but I won't go there now. No longer are they the friendliest store. read more

This is only in regards to the pharmacy. My mother needed a renewal of her prescription, the whole pharmacy process is already difficult for her. It took 5 separate visits. The script costed $2.50, she was near tears. First they said the doctor had denied the refill and then gone on vacation. Then my mom's other doctor called in the script, but the insurance computer had a glitch for 24 hours. We waited for 30 minutes, we had to ask again to get the update which they thought they would just sit on there behind the glass. Then we couldn't get it because the doctor had called in a 30mb script but not the 60mg script, not like they could give us just the one. Came back the next day and thats exactly what they did, after reading for about 15 minutes in the computer. No one seemed to think an explanation was necessary and our questions were brushed aside, while we were standing there for about 3 hours this week. Finally an asian woman with glasses wearing a white coat told us that they didn't know why this had hapepened, and shrugged. Business as usual I guess! In other words if you can find any other pharmacy you want to watch any other 10 people run around looking busy behind glass. What passes for business as usual nowadays is abysmal, it used to be people recognized when they were sub par, now they just smile and pretty much try to blame it on us. This goes for the dr. too in this situation, both of them also acted incompetent, the whole thing is a circus, but my mom has to have panick attacks because of it. read more

I wanted to send a particular FTD arrangement without the possibility of the floral container getting substituted. This was going to a long distance friend in the hospital. After searching online for that area's FTD affiliate & calling a couple to see if they had that container, they all said no & hung up. But when I called Schnucks Mid Rivers Floral Dept, & talked with Kim, she said she would call FTD, find out exactly which item I wanted. She didn't have that container but she then offered to call their local supply warehouse. They had it & sent it over within a short time & Voila, this was all accomplished within a span of a few minutes over the telephone. Now that's what service is all about. I'm 57 years old had a chest cold ,sent my 30-year-old son here to pick up some Mucinex. He brought home Mucinex DM I'm thinking this is not what I wanted. Took one anyway had some minor side effects that didn't agree with me. Didn't like the product . Only took one ,the rest were in a sealed individual package. took it to service counter I was greeted by a nice young lady named Sarah I told her I wanted to exchange the product I'm not happy with it had side effects that did it agree with me ,she contacted the manager Mike he would not exchange the product without a receipt ,,,I wasn't looking for a refund. Just an exchange. What without a receipt we can't do this. I've been using the store once a week for 18 years. It seemed like a trust issue like I purchased this from Walmart and I didn't really get it from them at least that's how they made me feel , Way to stick to the rules Mike. Great customer service.
