The staff was super friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door, while the lobby and sprawling yet open hallway compelled us to peruse the guest options (i.e. heated indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, onsite highly rated restaurant, comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering areas, outdoor bar, great coffee stand, etc.). We were surprised by an upgraded room - corner suite due to our special celebration. The room was amazing - spacious, comfortable and with a great lake view, a full and half bath. The workout room is small and leaves a bit to be desired if you are used to a gym, but does the trick for a one-off cardio or strength training. I would highly recommend the Delamar for a romantic getaway, a great place to stay for a wine tour on the Old Mission Point, a family trip, a work trip and more. It's unfortunate as our group of 16 would have happily spent more money here than we did. The front desk folks were nice but no one was there to oversee the complete and undeserved treatment by the manager / security person while we were being targeted because he didn't enjoy that we were somehow not proper enough for his restaurant. Then he followed us around like we were some group of degenerates even after we left. The restaurant was largely empty. We were not rowdy. We weren't insulting the staff. The worst we did was send a soup back because it was cold. Yes, for $24 a bowl, the soup should be hot. Go figure. What a wet blanket on an otherwise fantastic weekend with friends. We will not spend another dollar in this establishment and I would encourage you to take the same approach. People come to the peninsula to have a fun time with friends, laugh, drink wine, and live it up. Get a grip Delamar or you aren't going to have to worry about large groups like ours in the future.

The lobby was cute and modern and had plenty of comfy seating options, small tables, foosball tables, 24 hr. complimentary coffee and tea and snacks, soups, mac 'n cheese, etc. and beverages for sale. There is a workout room equipped with treadmills, Peloton, elliptical, weights, mats, towels and water bottle filler. The front desk has complimentary ear buds if you need them. A basic complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning and parking is free!

The beds were very comfortable and the room a have a blackout shade. Plenty of USB and plugs in the room. They have a smart TV so I was able to stream my Netflix and SiriusXM music. Even with a room facing the main highway it was a peaceful and quiet stay. I can't think of one negative about this hotel and would happily stay here again.

The road is not far away, but traffic was not bothersome. We stayed in one of the 2 room cabins the next weekend. (July 4th). The cabins are set back farther on the property. They seem secluded as you can watch the creek and sit on the porch under the big shade trees. The cabin had a kitchen, living room, 2 rooms each with a queen bed. Again the sink is outside the bathroom which I like as it is easier to share with others. There is free kayak use with your stay. What a bonus. Dave took great care of us and answered any questions we had. It was nice to not be stuck in a hotel room where others are walking up and down the hall and slamming doors. It was a treat to be able to enjoy sitting in the porch in the evenings. We would stay here again
