How nice to have a European pastry bakery AND a European restaurant all in one! I had a late…read morebreakfast and was seated immediately in a two-top booth. The staff are very friendly and help create a homey atmosphere. It was hard to choose what to eat, as the menu items all looked amazing, but I went with the pork schnitzel with paprikas sauce, two eggs, home fries, and toast and a side of smoked Slovenian sausage. I wanted to try the crêpes, but was too full. The portions are hearty and very reasonably priced. Everything was delicious. The pork schnitzel was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The paprikas sauce was a nice accompaniment. The home fries are homemade and come fried on the griddle so the outside is crispy and the inside light and fluffy. The coffee was delicious. Very rich, mellow flavor. I'll definitely be back. Those European pastries beckon!

Found this as a recommendation from the Yelp community when searching for lunch near Brunswick…read more Met my daughter and fiancé and future son in laws mom here for lunch. Do not let the strip mall location deter you. This homestyle restaurant and bakery was a great place to meet. Melissa, our server was very friendly and helpful. We all ordered food that we enjoyed. Only two boxes, but mostly, because we wanted to save room for dessert. I had the Hungarian sampler plate with cabbage and noodles, chicken paprikas, stuffed cabbage and cucumber salad as a side. Every part of it was delicious. My husband ordered the polish sampler with pierogis, Slovenian sausage and cabbage and noodles, he also liked it very much much. We bought a cheese strudel to go that we will have for Mother's Day breakfast with coffee at home. Definitely recommend! Would like to go back if I'm in this part of town again! PS- they only take cash or check. Plan ahead.

We were walking back to our car after lunch at the Thai Place down the block (see my review Mango…read moreThai Berea). We passed this bakery which was packed with customers, so we stopped. Inside appeared to be a standard bakery, and since it was after lunch on the weekend before Christmas, the goods were almost sold out. I could tell that this was a decent place because the servers inside knew their pastries and how to manage the line to keep them moving in and out. The cookies and pastries appeared well made and decorated. They had samples which were so yummy and light (which could be dangerous). My wife decided to get a prepared box of holiday cookies to take home. The cookies were tasty, unfortunately the gingersnap flavor wandered over into the other cookies in the box. I would recommend getting cookies separately and not packaged. There were so many varieties of baked goods, so it would be hard to pick and choose unless you went to this place frequently. Good stuff, cookies by the pound. Various cakes and pastries also being sold. I think I even saw donuts. Keep up the good work! If we are in the neighborhood again, will be stopping by.

This was a great surprise. Unlike some places that say they do crepes, these folks DO crepes. I got…read morea peanut butter and banana crepe (the Elvis, if you will) and my son got Nutella. A big point in their favor - most places put the peanut butter on when the crepe is still hot, which creates a messy, liquidy mess. These folks do not. The peanut butter was thick, rich, and creamy all throughout. Big time props for that little attention to detail. My only regret is not being hungry enough to also get a savory treat. It's counter service, but they encourage you to grab a menu, look it over, and order. Great. Advice. It's a nice little spot with WiFi and underrated coffee. If I were local, I'd make this a regular thing.

I needed to go get my own beverage from the cashier. Believe it or not, We bussed our own table of dirty dishes. No follow up was provided asking how our entrees were. The restaurant was not busy, so there's no excuse for the poor service. The soup had one tiny piece of chicken in its broth. The bowl was filled approximately one fourth of the way up. The crepe was bland. This lunchtime adventure was a total bust. Disappointing. Plus (The desserts in the case looked old & dried out).
