Words cannot express how much I love this place. This salon is on the nicer side of salons and is very boutique-y. It is very open and spacious as well as friendly environment. The receptionist is really friendly and I'm able to get a quick appointment that fits in my schedule. They have later appointments too, so it is really convenient for anyone who works a little later. I have been going here for quite some time now and trust each and every hairstylist there. (Shelly and Carol especially). One thing that really impressed me about Shelly is that she takes her time with your hair and really cares about her work. At the end of the haircut or style, she will ask you if you like it and if you don't, she will fix it, right then and there. Her day is not complete if her clients aren't happy. She is incredibly talented and the funniest stylist I have ever had. Going into my hair cut it is always entertaining. She is always cracking jokes and full of energy. Whenever I have a special occasion, I have them cut and style my hair. They even give me tips on how to do it myself as well as product recommendations. Overall, I love the staff, the atmosphere and the fact that Starbucks is in the same building, always a bonus in my opinion! I have been a very satisfied client of Scissors Edge for more than 16 years, and I would never consider going anyplace else as long as they are in business. The owner is extremely accommodating, stands behind her stylists, and bends over backward to ensure that each client leaves the establishment happy with the results. On the very few occasions that I have not felt totally comfortable with my results, I have had a totally free re-do, no argument, no questions asked. The salon is a busy, bustling place, with an edginess to it that you don't find in most suburban salons. The owner and her stylists are up on newest trends and products, and will only recommend things to you if they feel they would be beneficial to your type of hair and lifestyle. They have a great variety of products available, and if you buy something and decide you don't like it after trying it a few times, you can return it for a full refund.And, their services and products are quite reasonably priced. This review was way overdue....I have been going to scissors edge to see Shelly for haircuts for over 7 years now. I routinely receive tons of compliments about my hair cut and often people ask if I had gotten my haircut when I hadn't, and really it is because the cut just grow's out so well. A few months back, I decided to do balayage to my hair as I've seen it on so many of my celebrity idols....I had no idea how it would look, but I absolutely LOVE IT! I get more and more compliments every day and I'm so happy with it! I have so much confidence in Shelly and value her opinion...so when she said it looked great, I couldn't agree more with her. The maintenance is so easy to keep with this style especially for busy working mom like myself. They sell amazing products - my favorite is the Moroccan oil! Scissors Edge has been a mainstay in our family for years. The staff is professional, attentive and friendly. Shelly's team does a great job insuring you are comfortable and that at a minimum your expectations are met, if not consistently exceeded. This salon is so great! Friendly, welcoming, and professional environment in a great location Melina is my hair stylist and she never fails to make me happy! Whether it's color or cut she makes sure to listen to what I want and puts her creative spin on it. Melina is also so personable and fun to talk with while I'm getting my hair done! I have attached pictures down below, Melina cut off 5 inches of my hair. Longer in the front, shorter with AMAZING layers in the back. I feel so cute and fresh! I have been going to the Scissor's Edge for haircuts consistently since 2002... Lately it occurred to me that the Scissors Edge deserves a 5-star review based on my 15 years of consistent visits. Owned by 2 or 3 sisters, the Scissors Edge always welcomes you with sincere smiles and provides an extremely clean and fun atmosphere. Since 2002, I have yet to go to any other Salon! This place is like a zoo. The owner(short loud lady) runs around like she's a wild goose. I was there for two and a half hours and she did 2 cuts that's it. Other than that she went from stylist to stylist to talk poorly about one of the employees whose name I believe was Shelby. She was very unprofessional and rude when I tried to ask my stylist a question she told me to not interrupt her. I got an okay cut and color, but I WILL NEVER go back and I WILL NEVER recommend them to anyone not even my worst enemy due to the lack of respect this owner has for her clients and employees.......... read more

If there is EVER an issue, Shelly will make sure the situation is taken care of. The customer service and quality of work is #1 at Scissors Edge. I have been going to Scissors Edge for about six years. My stylist retired to take on a new profession. I was recommended to Ina, and had a gorgeous Hi-Lite and cut. The blow- out was outstanding , and I left the salon feeling out of this world great! I never looked or felt this beautiful.
