They resolved not receiving my order. Placed online order on 062626 with SDSP parts for "NON MDS CDJR CAM LIFTER KIT" $1309.95. Set order for pickup at Fedex near to me as merchant required signature and I wont be home til 6pm from work. Instead Fedex said they delivered to house on 062926 at 1:20 PM and said I signed for it. Advised both merchant and Fedex "that I wasnt at home and didnt sign for any delivery. When I got home at 6pm on 062926 there was no package anywhere at my home. I asked them both to provide proof of delivery". I got emails each day from both saying they were waiting on Fedex to provide Proof Of Dely and merchant SDSP advised they would give answer on POD on 070226. They did not. I rec'd email from Fedex today 070326 [attached] that they couldnt find the package and by inference couldnt provide POD. SDSP contacted me and offered to send out a replacement kit at no charge. They even further an included a hi flow oil pump AND paid for overnight shipping. So they made it right and I can highly recommend! read more

We were willing to spend upwards of 60,000 dollars on a brand new truck but these people do not want to get a sale over a 3,000 difference. Had a medium duty 6500 truck towed there due to the engine stopped running. Service advisor said it would be several weeks until it could be diagnosed. After two weeks in their lot the service guy called me and said crack heads came onto their unsecured lot and broke into 5 customer service trucks including ours causing extensive damage and loss of expensive tools. Crack heads returned a week later and broke into another group of service trucks. He told me that the dealer had no liability. I was also told this is happens often and they have no plans to add security, fencing or cameras. I had to have the truck shipped to a Houston dealer for the repair. Left a 23 LCF 4500 for transmission warranty work 12 weeks ago, no calls from dealership on how the work is progressing, no calls about vandalism and theft that occurred from truck. I have bought vehicles exclusively from SC for over 20 yrs, but no more. Service department has completely fallen apart. You make an appointment but it means nothing. They say "a couple of days". What they mean is we might start in a couple of days. No status feedback or updates. The last time I had repair done they left all the stud bolt's loose on the front shocks. Took it back and the fixed it but they seemed unconcerned about such a major error. I gave them a second chance but they couldn't replace spark plugs in 2 days. Someone needs to get a hold on this non-service department before they run off all their customers. Very sad. read more

Third time here since giving up on Gene Messer for poor service. First two times were average. Today I'm here for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I made an appt. and called the day before to confirm my time because I received an email stating someone would call and they didn't. 1st mistake. I arrived 10 minutes before my appt. and was told they are 1-1/2 hours behind. Mind you it's only 9:57 as I type this and snowing. Pretty busy for a snow day. What is the point of an appointment I'd you don't keep the appointment? I'm living in a Seinfeld episode right now. The service guy said, well people arrived 30 minutes before you and they're on the rack. Again, what was my appt. for? So it's freezing, snowing, not busy, have animals at home that I made plans for because of the whether and now I might be here for 3+ hours for an oil change. We'll see read more

Scoggin-Dickey Chevrolet Buick is the dealership we gave our business to, and we are happy we did! I shopped with my father all around Lubbock looking for a new ¾ ton truck equipped with a fifth wheel package. When we arrived at Scoggin-Dickey we were greeted by our salesman, Tevin Holmes. He was laid back and knowledgeable. Anything he didn't know, he knew someone who did, and they were all more than happy to assist. We appreciated his no pressure, complete service attitude. He allowed us to test drive any and all trucks we were interested in and easily explained the differences in truck packages to us. We came to this lot and test drove trucks twice and the many many hours of shopping we did that very hot day, and never felt like we were a bother. That meant a lot to us. When we showed Tevin the other offers we had and what we were considering, he beat it. We were absolutely thrilled with the truck, the package, the amazing color and the price we were getting. They even delivered the truck to Pecos at no additional charge! Then we went to the finance department and met Dan Massey. My father was very nervous making such a huge purchase. Again, Dan (the man!) was an absolute professional. He put us at ease in making such a big purchase by going through, line by line, breaking down each item into easily understood language and answering all of our many questions while referencing them in the written contract. He even got us an interest rate lower than quoted. Dan then took us to the truck manager, Chris Clark, to ease worries about getting our 5th wheel set up and delivery done by a certain date, only a few short days away. He promised he would have his guys in the service department on it right away. His promise was golden! When my father got home from work the truck was delivered on time, and the 5th wheel package was in place. We couldn't be happier with our experience at this dealership. Since you have to give at least one star, that is what I did. My daughter is a student at Texas Tech, her car broke down in 10/20/17. Chevy roadside assistance towed her 2011 Cruz to this dealership, where it sat and sat and sat for two weeks. One excuse after excuse, too busy, transmissions are difficult, transmissions take time.... I had to call continually, never once did I receive a call from them (my daughter did receive a call saying they received the car on 10/20). All communication had to be initiated by me. The car was never even diagnosed as to what the problem was. I finally, this morning had the car towed to an independent repair shop. The lack of communication, a timeline or even a diagnosis of the problem is unprofessional and not at all what I expect from a dealership. read more

Will not ever use their service department again, very overpriced, and apparently very inexperienced in what they do....they don't know what they are doing and cannot give you an accurate diagnosis the first time around....and after telling them what WAS wrong with my car and what WAS diagnosed from other mechanics - they still missed it, then told me there wasn't a way for them to know what it was till they fixed what they thought was broke, but mysteriously the other mechanics in town diagnosed it on the first try and didn't have to "tear apart my car to find it!" Will not return, they seem to "look" for something to replace or break rather that what NEEDS to be replaced. kinda shady if you ask me.... Very Unhappy. and I will NOT return. On Wednesday, 06/20/2018 at about 12:30PM, I called Scoggin Dickey Chevrolet to speak to a New Car Sales Manager. The receptionist transferred me to an extension that rang unanswered continuously for over 4 minutes. I hung up. I called the dealership back 5 times each time the phone rang unanswered and was disconnected with a recording that said' "there is no one available to accept your call." I finally called and had the telephone answered by the receptionist again. I explained that I was trying to reach the New Car Sales Manager to setup a test drive appointment for my elderly parents but I was directed to an extension that was unanswered. I also stated that I tried to call back and my call was unaswered. The receptionist was short, curt, and rude. She stated that she was busy giving directions to another caller and couldn't take my call. She then asked what did I want. I told her I already told her why I called and she had a very poor way of apologizing to a customer. The receptionist then became enraged. She was very unprofessional and very argumentative. Bought a certified pre-owned pickup truck and had a pleasant experience with Jeff Guthrie, salesman. He was nice and not very pushy or annoying. The service department however needs some help and should take note from their competitor, Gene Messer. I setup an appointment for oil changes since they are free for two years. Each time I've been I don't ever get a friendly greeting or anyone really trying to help me. I usually pull in and get out and stare at people until they finally decided to approach or greet me. The receptionist inside never helps and I always have to walk out and get someone's attention to get my truck when it clearly is ready to go. Poor customer service all around! Would not recommend their service department and would advise others to look elsewhere before purchasing a vehicle from here. read more

Their communication is terrible, they don't return calls, they are incompetent when it comes to sourcing parts and they will slap you with a bill if it means not having to deal with manufacturer warranty reps. Very unfortunate it's come to this. My problem I believed in the beginning was an honest financial mistake that could've been fix. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication as well as cooperation I've now been stuck with an auto loan that Scoggin-Dickey never paid off. 9 months later, my credit is now damaged, and the lender is looking for a vehicle I don't have in my possession. Somehow Scoggin-Dickey was able to sell the vehicle without paying off my loan. Fraud? Time to file a consumer complaint with the office of the attorney general. Months later I figured I would give them a second chance and take my Camaro to get its first service and have a GM Performance cold air intake installed, once again they couldn't help me and told me to go somewhere else, that somewhere else I went was Scoggin Dickeys Chevorlet. They got me in without an appointment and said the instal would not be a problem, I'm not the type of person that does reviews but this will be my exception. The job was completed. Nothing really stands out as exemplary, though. The 'shuttle service' that I received was less of a shuttle and more of a last minute favor. The gentleman running the shuttle did a good job, but the service itself should not be explained as a shuttle when it is really just one man in a midsize car driving people one at a time all around town. Most of us waited over an hour. This is not the expectation set by the company when told, 'we have a shuttle service that can take you to and from work.' Further, I had an appointment set up, but when I arrived to drop my car off, I had to explain all of my services again. I dropped the car off, and went to work. I later received a call that the car was done. After I verbally checked with the person on the phone about what was done to my car, turns out they did not complete all of the service requests. So, I was told it would get done that day. Which it did. This isn't a big deal, it just makes me concerned about the efficiency and communication of this department and if those deficits are translated to the quality of work completed on my car. Lastly, I had a transmission fluid change, radiator coolant flush, and a small recall fixed on the car. This took from 8:15am to around 5:30p to complete. I am no expert, and they may have been busy, but this seems like a long time. Again, this all feeds in to my insecurity about the efficiency and communication quality of this department. Everyone was very nice, and my car is running just fine. So there's that. This just could be better from the 'shuttle' and communicated efficiency and quality. Also, vehicle service here is very expensive. Pricey is what I have come to expect from a dealership service department, BUT, this price should ensure a boost in customer service, customer security, efficiency, and experience. I should not be expected to pay a premium price and leave with a bad feeling that something may have been overlooked, especially, on very routine services. The only reason I took the car in to the dealership is because a chevy dealer is required to get into my transmission. Otherwise, I would have had my car guy do it who is cheaper, busier, and more organized. read more

I can't believe how horrible their communication and service is. I made an appointment because my vehicle was included in a recall. I guess it was too soon to make the appointment, but instead of telling me that over the phone or when I dropped it off, they waited until they had my car for 8 hours to let me know they didn't have the parts or service instructions yet. Since I was taking my car in anyway, I thought it would be a good time to get my window fixed. They gave me an estimate for about $450. Just to make my window work? I said no thank you. I hate leaving a bad review but unfortunately I think this might be the only way to get their attention. Have been trying to get an engine refunded for almost a year now. Constant going back and forward with the same excuse (Have to talk to my superior, district manager,...) Sure I get that but at least have the courtesy to call me back and give me an update on whats happening. Me, your customer, should not be leaving you 10 voicemails asking the same thing over and over and over again. After standing there for 7 minutes a line of people came out from behind closed doors and walked on out without saying a single word. Then a gentleman came to the computer right where I was standing and said nothing.
