The joint has an important reminder hanging on its wall: It takes a lot more effort to hate than to be kind, Be Kind. This review will showcase how kindness embraced me on this night, at this joint, almost like we were honoring the poster and its words like we were pilgrims in motion. I was at Pride, enjoying, walking, but too tired to be part of the crowd fueled moments. And I passed this place, and saw that it was virtually a person free environment, and I could go for something sweet, so in I went. I approached the two cashiers, Nadya and and Melanie. Nadya was the comedian of the two. She made me chuckle from a place of within, it was laughter given freely, like oxygen from the trees. I asked them to inform me about the offerings of the place. Nadya explained that they had frozen yogurt, chimney cakes, and other assorted treats. However, she warned me that the Chimney Cakes were not available because Pride night disallowed for the ease in their production. She describe that the process was "messy" and involved and they were going to be simply to "busy" to create Chimeny Cakes for all the customers of the night. Busy? I inquired. I was the only customer in the joint. The surprise in my question was answered by her humor. She acted quietly dramatic, hands rolling in circles, and in comical voice emphaasized that they were indeed so busy, that they could not spare a moment to engage in the consuming process of making Chimney Cakes. This is where my laughter filled the nearly empty room. My chuckles were sincere. Nadya had taken a moment to give me the gift of unchained delight in the form of solemn cackling. She also prudently offered for me to get some frozen yogurt, add add some toppings-- they woudl be charged by weight. I could get a cup of frozen yogurt that was right for me and how I felt. She recommended the Dulce De Leche flavor. I did not get that flavor, but appreciated the thought. I pondered the flavors and got Peanut butter and topped it with reeces pieces. A simple duo, true, but it was made to hit my spot. I sat, and waited for more moments to unfold. But I was ready to view them too. Then enters a drunk girl and Aton. Nadya, Melanie, and Aton, were speaking to a super drunk girl. I heard did you throw up? I assumed she was so drunk she might have thrown up in the bathroom, and Aton might have had to clean it up. She then passed me. I asked her to come. She was super drunk, I could tell. Why? Her eyes, were full of liquor. She approached me and got to close, like if she did not she would topple. She explained that she was waiting for her friends and they could not find her. I told her to sit in a chair and text her friends the name of the place so they can come pick her up. I did not want her to be vulnerable in a world where drunk girls get hurt. I walked into the spot not knowing the name. I asked Nadya and Melanie for the name of the place. They did not hear me. They were busy with customers, busy with their jobs. I turned to customers and they ignored me too. And rightfully soul. I was tending to an emergency only I could see. One of them then said the name of the joint. He pointed to the name of the wall. I noticed the sign reminded me to be kind, not the sign that was super big and obvious. I turned to the drunk girl to let her know the name of the place but in the midst of the name quest, she got up and left. Ok. May God be with you. Another customer told me, "the sign is right there in pink, just like the pink in your beautiful shirt." He had showed me kindness. I had made a public fumble, I know it. And he took time to care for my feelings, to turn embarrassment into fulfillment. I turned to him, and gave him a hug, that he returned in kind embrace. The connection was felt in the embrace, not only in spirt, but in the squeeze of us too. I said happy pride, and we meant it. We were siblings supporting each other. Then, I explained to Aton, what I wanted to do. Have her sit down, so she did not go outside into the world drunk and vulnerable. He looked at me. And I said, it is not a comment of your generosity, as a customer my priorities were different. I was trying to correct what I had implied in error: that him not allowing for the girl to sit, was akin to being against empathy. He was going out the door, and then he approached me at the table. He was ready to fight, I thought. He ws not. He was ready to explain. He explained to me that the girl had shared that she wanted to puke. If she sat, she could have puked at the restaurant. She could have made the place smell, and ruined the experience of other customers, including my own. He had to be mindful of that, and alsio, the fact that he did not want to clean up after others puke. I understood, he was helping out a business continue operations, not a rest spot for the ill. He held a boundary, and I had to respect that. He reminded me that kindness has to be offered in a controlled way.

Loved this cute & chill froyo spot! Some of the yogurt flavors came out a bit watery/ loose when it dispensed out, but tasted fine! I loved the assortment of toppings. I can't wait to go here when the weather gets warmer.

Alrighty, so first off, always want to press the importance of supporting local business whenever possible and I'm glad these folks brought chimneys cakes to this vibrant area of WeHo since I've never tried it before! I tried the Vanilla Party chimney cake and the chocolate one. Both feature froyo in the cone and as you can tell with the photos, a bunch of toppings. The froyo is a bit less on the creamy side and more watery but I didn't mind since I'm not a huge fan of super sweet ice cream. The chimney cake was actually tasty, they roll the cone in sugar but it's not too overwhelming. Note that it does take a bit to make the chimney cake but I didn't mind since I like my pastries fresh out of the oven. Overall, it settled a sweet tooth. There's self-serve froyo with a variety of toppings and you can even build your own chimney cake (probably my next move). I think with enough community support, I can see this place growing and investing in more premium selections (3.75/5).

Never tried their froyo which I need , but on the weekends they have a porch pop up chimney dogs & omg such a great idea for these late nights at Rocco's 10/10 recommend, definitely a good late night option other than a classic street dog. unfortunately the froyo was a huge miss. barely got anything and it was $8 and not tasty. i normally go to go greek (pricey but healthier and really good) or toppings which is a great deal (i could fill the whole cup for how much i got here) and so delicious. don't think ill be back. can't speak for the chimney cakes cus i didn't try them. disappointed. not any better than yogurt land which i try to avoid. read more

Fro-yo girl here. Scoop and Cone, the new self-serve frozen yogurt and chimney cakes shop that took over the old Yogurt Stop space, just opened. Choose from ten froyo flavors a day and toppings for $0.83/oz. For toppings they had the usual candy, mochi, fruit, popping boba, nuts, cookies, chocolate chips, cereal, granola, coconut, sprinkles, etc. Toppings were neatly labeled. I believe all the froyo is kosher. Froyo flavors: * Cookies & cream * Blue cotton candy * Pineapple * Dole Raspberry * Pistachio * French vanilla * Chocolate * Strawberry * Tart: seemed too sweet though it had some tang, tasted lemony but not in a good way, icy texture but smooth You can also get made-to-order chimney cones (baked Hungarian cones) with various options (filling, coating, with ice cream). Today was the grand opening, though I didn't notice anything that signified it was a grand opening except for a sign and some red balloons. They're also adding candy and drinks soon. Parking in this neighborhood is very tough. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl. read more

Love this place after just its first day. We needed a new yogurt spot in this town and am so glad this new place opened up. It has 10 yogurt flavors that you can put into a chimney cone (got to try this at least once) and more toppings. Had a jellybean selection too. The decor is very retro and cool with plenty of seating. I definitely recommend it and especially the chimney cone. read more

Had a wonderful time eating at Scoop and Cone. A lot of flavors to choose from. You can decide how much or how little you want, and then pick your toppings! The place is clean, colorfully decorated, and the perfect place to hang out on a hot day, or for a fun after dinner desert. The staff were friendly, and made sure we all enjoyed our treats. AMAZING FROZEN YOGURT! I had the chocolate and it is like fudge melting in your mouth. The premium vanilla is sensational too. Also, I had ordered the pumpkin and since they were out of it, they replaced it an no charge with the vanilla and gave me an order refund. WHO DOES THAT IN LA? Wonderful place, fantastic yogurt that is mouth watering goodness without the extra fat and yuck of ice cream. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

The interior is very clean, colorful, and vibrant. It's nice to just sit there and hang out, but on top of that the ice cream is amazing. You get to pick whatever toppings you want and they have plenty of delicious flavors to choose. They also have jellybeans which are very yummy. They just added these new chimney dogs which I would recommend trying, they are soft, crispy and delicious. The employees are all very nice and helpful. I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

Top Notch Place! This place is new and I decided to come here with my family and it was really great! Yogurt was delicious and they had all the toppings I could think of. And I sure do ! She bagged me a warm fresh cheese pastry gave her a $5 tip that she wouldn't accept but idc . I'm a food critic! And some of the reviews might have scared some people away over bad customer service comments. Ok back to my review, I get in my car and took a bite of the warm cheese pastry and it tasted good! You can instantly tell when a pastry is fresh from the first bite ! So yes I will be returning for fresh chocolate rolls & I rate this bakery a 10/10 and maybe start supporting small family owned businesses and give them a break this economy is so bad everyone deserves chances!
