Overall, I think this place is just fine, would I come here again? No! The white chocolate drizzle was an extra $1.50 and it tasted like sour milk! Not sure why the strawberry topping was frozen. I would have preferred them fresh for $15. Service was good! At first I was a little distracted by the hanging monkeys, but I thought they were cute!

This is the front of the building.

i enjoyed the ambiance, service and food. I visited Banana Drip two weeks ago. I had been curious as I passed the colourful building each day on my way home from work. I stopped by and ordered this amazing s'mores style banana. I thought I was going to taste it,then take it home. That one taste led to another and I had eaten the whole dish before I left.

Will absolutely be back! Place still needs some kinks hammered out but I really enjoyed my frozen banana. It was big, not rock hard frozen (that made for easy eating) and at the perfect ripeness. I was a little sad there was some blank spots from chocolate not completely coating the banana, and there was not enough graham cracker dusting on it, but overall it was super yummy. I'm not sure if I'd ever want to pay the Signature and Premium prices for a chocolate dipped banana but the $8 and change for the Classic felt worth it for me. I was also not a huge fan of the thin very sharp stick they used for the banana. It couldn't really hold the banana up and at one point I nearly stabbed the inside of my mouth when I finally got to that part while eating. The guy that helped me was very friendly. Place inside (and outside) is really nice. The decor is vibrant but not overwhelming. The neon really makes the designs pop. Small parking lot is perfect for LA that rarely has free parking. Hope they do well!

Not awful but I mean $8 for a banana with some cereal on it is a bit crazy, and this was one of their cheaper options. Others were like $12. And the banana is small lol. Service was okay, the location has a parking lot which is nice. The inside has a couple tables and they are open late. Good if you want a simple dessert after going to one of the museum's near by. Probably won't choose it again though.

Stumbled upon this new business that's only been open for a month. I just happen to be a fan of frozen bananas. It's something I always get at the county fair. They're still ironing out some issues. An employee made our bananas but later we talked to who I presume to be the owner who asked our opinion. I gladly let him know what they can improve on. I was offered for a new order but I declined. Looking forward to their improvements! They are opened late and the D line is close by. Oh, and they offer dipped cheesecake too as we were told later. Didn't see that on the menu but I'm sure it will be added. Noted: The bananas were cold but not frozen. At least if they're not frozen, we don't have to bite through a hard banana. Since it was not frozen, the stick did not hold the banana but that's ok because they came on a tray and they had small spoons. You don't have to eat these up-right, they would likely fall anyway. Our bananas were not fully coated in chocolate., I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that. Since I ordered the s'mores, some of marshmallows had a chare but it would be nice if all the pieces were chared. My friend ordered the Dubai but don't expect an experience of the candy bar because their version, although does have pistachio pieces, does not have crispies but comes with coconut which they did not have any at the time. She was able to sub with strawberries and they are in freeze-dried form.

Cute place. Saw online and thought id give it a try. It was good. I got the s'mores and enjoyed the roasted marshmallows on it. Fun concept but since i don't live in the area i probably wouldn't come back on a special run for it. Hope it does well.

Really ate the hell out of it

You don't feel like you're eating shaved ice! You feel like you're eating a fluffy cloud! When you walk in, you are greeted by kiosks where you place your order. You don't have much interaction with the staff other than than they calling out your number when your order is ready Only downside is they were playing music way too loud! The store itself had maybe 1-2 other parties inside... but the music was too loud we practically had to yell at each other to MAYBE hear the person right next to us. I definitely was not a fan of that vibe. The dessert itself though was phenomenal

For those driving here, we did notice it was connected to small parking structure. Upon entering the front, there were 2 kiosks. We had no interaction with staff. There was no customization with the selections and there was no one to ask. For instance the mango shaved snow came with the melon. I wanted the strawberry shaved snow with the melon balls but they didn't have that option. When you order additional toppings, they leave it on the side. Not visually appealing at all. My niece and I shared the Strawberry Shaved Ice ($18.99) and added Mochi ($2.50) and Melon Balls ($4.25). After you order from the kiosk, you seat yourself and they'll call your number when your order ready. I really like their shaved ice here because the ice is creamy and flavored before they shave it so it's extra flavorful and creamy. It's just really expensive for what it is and especially pricey when you want additional ingredients. Most other shaved ice businesses will allow multiple ingredients for a portion of the cost. One thing that was weird is how it came in a plate instead of a bowl shaped container. Eat quick and make sure it doesn't tip over. I'm so torn because I like the product after the addition of more toppings, but I'm not sure it's worth the price. Also no staff interaction and lacking customization makes my experience as a customer frustrating and limited. Not sure if I would come back.

I've seen people here working on their laptop and groups of people around one table so the vibe is chill and friendly. It also depends on what time of day you come. Weekends usually get packed. As for the drinks and food. What we've had here has always been good. Best to eat their Croffle and baked goods there. Although Matcha is not for my liking, I'm more for their Taro Drink. B says the Matcha here is one of the better ones she's had. I have to agree even their Matcha Ice Cream is good. We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Keep supporting the classics, not just because they've been around for a while, but because they have strong products and service.

Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! Steer clear of the matcha!!!

Personally, I don't like that style, I was hoping the original would change that for me! Long story short, I didn't like the Walnut Chocolate Chip. I personally just don't like that style still, so I'll chalk it up as a "me" problem. The cooked part was good. The Rocky Road was cooked through. It was an amazing baked good with good flavor and add-ins. Between the roasted almond slices and fudgey chocolate chips, I was enjoying it immensely. A highlight of my day for sure. It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.
