I happened to be in the area for an appointment so I figured I'd try it after I was done. While the concept seems like a good idea, I wasn't sure if the staff's heart was in it. I noticed it because it stands out when you're going westbound on Wilshire so I had a better idea of how far it would take if I drove eastbound back home to LA. When I finally made it in, the person seemed a bit flustered as he was serving an order for a mother and her two lovely children. I tried to ask about different flavor profiles and settled on the PBBJ. The banana wasn't completely frozen, yet it seemed fun. There wasn't enough flavor for me to fully enjoy it. The strawberry bits were too small to enjoy and I didn't really taste any of the peanut butter. I would like to try to give it a chance if I happen to be in the area. Looked cool at first; came on a whim after dinner. I don't know what I was expecting, but now that I've gone, I know what I want. I ordered the Fresa Con Leche (strawberry with milk) - it came out with a banana in a paper bowl; banana not frozen and no stick. Feedback for the owner to make it better: a lot of your reviews are from customers you served the dessert to in a paper bowl. Like I said, I was okay with that (even though I thought the concept was a banana on a stick). If you are going to go more the banana split route minus the ice cream, consider using syrups instead of cheap hardened chocolates. The ingredients all need elevated, so I would veer towards Ghirardelli pump syrups and fresh strawberries. Also, your menu above the register is two screens running through two slides that both say the same thing showing 1 slide on one tv and other slide on the other tv. It's flipping through them so fast. Since it's a new concept and ordering is a bit more involved than other dessert joints, I was getting frustrated that the menu would change as I was trying to read it. Will absolutely be back! Place still needs some kinks hammered out but I really enjoyed my frozen banana. It was big, not rock hard frozen (that made for easy eating) and at the perfect ripeness. I was a little sad there was some blank spots from chocolate not completely coating the banana, and there was not enough graham cracker dusting on it, but overall it was super yummy. I'm not sure if I'd ever want to pay the Signature and Premium prices for a chocolate dipped banana but the $8 and change for the Classic felt worth it for me. I was also not a huge fan of the thin very sharp stick they used for the banana. It couldn't really hold the banana up and at one point I nearly stabbed the inside of my mouth when I finally got to that part while eating. The guy that helped me was very friendly. Stumbled upon this new business that's only been open for a month. I just happen to be a fan of frozen bananas. It's something I always get at the county fair. They're still ironing out some issues. An employee made our bananas but later we talked to who I presume to be the owner who asked our opinion. I gladly let him know what they can improve on. I was offered for a new order but I declined. I wanted to like this place because we live nearby. However, it was pretty terrible. Frozen bananas are a pretty simple concept and they should be able to produce a basic frozen banana which is usually a semi ripe banana, dipped in chocolate, covered in nuts. The staff person looked at me like I was insane with my order. Nothing on the menu looked good. I finally chose marshmallow and strawberries. Bad. My very expensive banana came and it was tiny. I am not even sure where you can buy bananas this small. And although frozen it was super overripe, like the texture you'd use for cake or bread which I use all the time. Nasty and gummy. Three tiny marshmallows. Dipped, fine. But I was expected fresh strawberries (menu didn't state) and inside it dehydrated strawberries (maybe a tsp.?) which can a fine thing on there own but just tasted old and stale and weird textured with a frozen product.
