Sorry, no pictures this time, we all were hungry. So our whole office ordered lunch on Friday. The best thing to do is call the day before, so you just go to pick it up. They are super busy. So just be patient when you call to order. We ordered 5 plates 4 combos and one kalua pig and cabbage. first of all the combo plates came with a canned drink and a brownie for dessert. Also the combos were lau lau and teri burger which both were delicious. Another combo was lau lau and kalua pig, and the last one was shoyu chicken and teri burger. All were super delicious, full of flavor and we're looking forward to ordering again and tasting other items on their menu. This little gem was found in Waipahu only because we had ordered from the food trucks up at Mililani Tech Park and we saw the line to the Scoopers truck was super long, so we looked and found the Scoopers Kitchen and decided to try it. Came here for lunch, tried the chili frank & Teri hamburger combo w/ all tossed. Chili frank was ok, Teri hamburger was pretty good. Like the homemade patty. The quantity and price $11 is still amazing. I ended up having leftovers, possibly enough for another meal. The brownie & drink that comes with it is a bonus too. read more

Today I was finally able to check out Scoopers Kitchen in Waipahu! By the time I called they only had baked chicken and a micro roast pork. I figured....Ah why not get both?! That way I will have dinner for tonight too! The baked chicken was very flavorful and tender!! Mac salad was not bad at all. The reg plate comes w 3 pieces of chicken, choice of Mac or green salad or all rice. I got gravy on the chicken. The plate felt like it was over a pound ! I really liked the brownie too!! The micro roast pork plate was a lot too! I think it's too much for a small eater. Pork was really flavorful and tender. I would say it was just a tad bit salty for my taste buds but it was really good. My mom enjoyed it! Gravy n rice so Ono too! For both plates it was only$16! You can't beat the price, especially nowadays w everything being jacked up due to cost. I really wanna try the shoyu chicken! Oh and the hamburger steak too! The lady at the front was so super nice and friendly! I asked what would be the best time to go so shoyu chicken it sold out, she said just call and I will hold it for you! This is my go to when I'm around the area... I think this would be one of the last's for a while. Don't get me wrong though, prices and portions are really good most of the time. This review is on my beef stew and baked chicken mix. Baked chicken was pretty tough and dry. It was so hard to eat. Beef stew, the pieces were so small. Like a toddler him/her-self wouldn't even get full off that. Amongst it being small, I don't understand why the meat would be so hard. If they wanted to get the stew done quick, should have just served hamburger stew. (I'm just saying). The potatoes were very over cooked. It was almost like mashed potato in the stew. The flavor itself wasn't there too. It tasted like the seasoning from a beef stew packet. (I would know because a cousin of mines, uses the packet all the time) The only good thing about this plate was the toss greens with French dressing. All though I would like to change the amount of black pepper they put in the dressing, it was yummy. Oh and can't forget that little treat on top. Brownie was nice and moist. That hit the craving that I couldn't get out of the plate lunch. read more

This is a good little hole in the wall plate lunch spot in the industrial area of Waipahu. I would say I come here 2-3x week on average and have tried every single dish - her menu is the same weekly with some specials here and there. The only thing I didn't like was the Kalua pig - and it's only because I like the fat - her Kalua pig is more meat then fat but everything else is 'Ono! Her Spaghetti is super bomb! She is VERY generous with portions, and the brownie is a good treat too :) The 1 star is for the fact that her menu never changes - its good when you have a favorite dish - but bad when you want variety, also she tends to run out towards lunch time 1130ish but closes at 1:30. My tip is to call in your orer to ensure she doesn't run out of what you want. read more
