I'm pretty sure I was there when the Yelper Melanie C was there with I'm assuming her other half and their daughter. Melanie was waiting outside and sent her daughter and other half to pick up their drinks when finished. The little girl said thank you and the worker smiled at her. I overheard Melanie ask her daughter if the worker said "you're welcome" to which the daughter responded no. Melanie could be heard saying "some people are just awkward." Then I heard Melanie ask her other half "What's the name of this place?" I already knew she was going to write a negative review. Just a rude customer trying to find something to complain about. Naks Cafe is definitely worth checking out if you're in the Pearl City area and craving a really good burger. They're located inside the Donquijote Food Court and have ample seating inside as well as outside. I went with the Wagyu burger, fries, and tossed salad, and all three were very tasty. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were salty and crispy on the outside, and the tossed salad was light and the dressing paired perfectly with it. One thing to keep in mind: they make everything fresh to order, so the wait can be a little longer than your typical quick-service spot. I actually think the freshness is worth the extra time, but it's something to be aware of if you're in a hurry. Also tried the Apple Mint Mojito, which was delicious--light, refreshing, and a great complement to the burger. One tip: If you prefer your burger more well-done, definitely let them know when you order. The burger can come out on the rarer/juicier side, so communicate your preferred doneness upfront. This business popped up on my IG feed. I saw someone's reel about the French toast bites and that immediately grabbed my interest. Finding out it was conveniently located near where I live right by the Pearl City Don Quijote, I put it on my list to visit soon. Right before visiting, I decided to take a look at the Yelp reviews to see what others were enjoying at this establishment. To my surprise, the French toast bites didn't even seem to pop up on anyone's reviews...and if it did on a few of them, it wasn't the greatest reviews. Looking at the reviews and pictures did pique my interest in their hot sandwiches. I ended up getting the Prime French Dip and the Prime Rib & Avocado Pesto Sando. Each came with a freshmix green salad with house-made raspberry vinaigrette. Although this wasn't what I came for initially, I must say that I was extremely impressed by these sandwiches. The prime rib slices had great flavor! I only ate half and saved the rest to eat the next day. Threw it in the air fryer and it came out just as wonderful as the first time I ate it. Impressive! I also got the mango matcha latte. They also have a strawberry matcha latte, but I've had that at so many other places that I thought I'd try something different. It was good, but don't think I'd get it again. While their actual business is a very small space, you can eat your food in the dining room just outside their door that is shared with the Don Quijote food court. Lots of space to wait for your food and dine in there. Prices are a little high here, but I guess that's kind of expected everywhere nowadays. There is a reward program if you type in your phone number. With the two sandwiches and two drinks that we purchased, they said we could get a mini The NAKs (the French toast bites I had mentioned previously) on our next visit. That's pretty cool! read more

The Naks in Pearl City... Just right beside the Don Quijote food court is a cute place called Naks Cafe as this cozy spot offers quite the extensive menu from pasta, sandwiches and various plates though it all sounds amazing the prices were quite up there as well knowing that times are tough I couldn't see myself having French toast bites for $16.85 but badly need to refuel after a long day of errands. Seeing that they had soup of the day sounded very comforting and it was Japanese Corn Soup sounded perfect it was that along with a cup of Apple Mint Mojito sounded like the perfect combo strange as it may sound but I did enjoy it. The staff was very friendly as they brought out my items to me as I waited outside at the food court not just as it's a tiny place but no air-condition at all as it was very hot and humid in there was quite concerning and hope they have a fan or something to keep them cool which the drink certainly did that for me and I really enjoyed this refreshing sip. As for the soup it was very nice and hot and had a nice light flavor it just tasted like the instant soup I get from the store it wasn't like the corn was fresh especially since it claims to be house-made I was slightly disappointed but did come with two little pieces of garlic bread which did elevate it more still couldn't save my disappointment considering it was $9.85 over $17 with my drink, it gave me the much needed comfort as I just wanted some hot soup which I was so happy to find in the convenience right beside Don Quijote food court. This place was an absolute great find. It is a little hole in the wall place that you won't expect to see unless you're walking into Don QUITE. Its a cute little shop with a bakery and drink case and a simple but elegant and tasty menu. They are very friendly and able to answer any questions about the menu. The chef even came out to personally greet and thank us for coming in. We will definitely be back again soon. This little shop is tucked away next to the Donki okazuya/food court. They have a pretty diverse menu and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I ordered the prime rib avocado pesto sandwich and it was so flavorful and the meat was super tender. Would 100% get that again. Your can upgrade to get fries instead of a salad for a charge. The fries were fresh and had a seasoning on it but you couldn't really taste the seasoning at all. I also got the strawberry matcha latte and substituted oat milk (for a fee). It was okay but the matcha to milk ratio wasn't quite right. Service was great especially with it being so busy. Got the prime rib dip sando. Tasty sandwich, but feeling undersold by the looks of other people's pictures. It was midday Monday, took ~20 minutes for my order. Cute little cafe with huge menu selections. Located right in front of Don Quijote Pearl City. Didn't know about this place. Just happens to see them while leaving H-mart. Decided to get drinks. I got caramel macchatio. There was no wait. Got my coffee in less than 5 minutes. Really disappointed in the drink. Didn't taste the caramel at all. Just strong coffee. A little pricey for small cup. I did look around at their menu. They have great selection of desserts that look delicious. Huge selection of foods items. Food look delicious. I will come back to try their foods. Today was my first time at Naks Cafe, and I highly recommend it. We ordered the grilled salmon, the veggie sando melt, the wagyu beef bowl, the strawberry donuts, limeade, and apple mint tea. Everything tasted so good. The grilled salmon has this rich creamy sauce, and we really appreciated that the worker put it on the side for us. The kids loved the salmon. We also enjoyed our veggie sando, and the worker was so nice to accommodate for us on what we wanted on it. The kids loved the donuts, and our drinks also tasted great. It's located inside the Don Quijote food hall, and you'll see it to your left when you first walk in. It feels like a cute hole in the wall place. The service was wonderful. The two large TV menu displays was off when I arrived which is thumbs . The cashier was clueless of the screen and had no printed menus. The. only the displays were specials. I ordered the Prime Rib French dip which took 27 minutes to make. Way too long . I make a comment to the guy taking the orders . He did apologize but too little too late. Took it home and noticed the salad portion was really skimmy . Barely filled the tiny corner of the plate, and little had little or no dressing. Finally, the main course was not prime rib but roast beef " well done" . It was tough and thin cut. Conclusion: This was the worse meal I ever purchased for $ 20.00 . I decided to give this place a try today after walking by many times. It's a cute little place tucked into the Don Quijote food court (there is an entrance outside that you can also use). The menu is quite large for such a small place and the offerings all sound really good. I decided to get the wagyu burger that came with a side salad and fries. I saw that they also had yuca fries, which I'd never tried before so asked if I could upgrade my regular fries for them, and they said yes, for $1 extra. The food was really good, the side salad comes with a yummy vinaigrette, the yuca fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and the cheeseburger was nice and juicy. The only down side to this place is that it's a little pricey. I will definitely go back to try other things. read more

At that point I asked how much longer was the wait and it was another 20-30 minutes. If she had told me upfront that the wait was that long I probably would've come back another time. Cute tiny takeout spot, connected to the food hall by Donki and H-Mart. I ordered the garlic shrimp and asked if they can peel the shrimp and they were happy to do it. Each shrimp was perfectly cared for. Each one had the perfect little char and they were not overcooked at all. You can tell they took the care of frying each shrimp perfectly instead of rushing the process. We are here for a month and plan to come back to try the prime rib. :) read more

Naks Cafe is a pleasant surprise! My husband asked me to check this new restaurant out after I shopped at Don Quixote. It is in the former Bale location. Restaurant is extremely clean and well-lit. Food is amazing! The Seafood Pomodoro, the Prime Rib and Avocado Pesto Sando, the NAKS French toast, and the spicy garlic and citrus ramen are all flavorful and super tasty. The ramen toppings and noodles are separated on a clever removable tray from the broth. The tiramisu was really yummy, but omg, the Berry Panna Cotta was creamy, just the right texture, perfect berry-flavored, and delectable! Not sweet at all. Tried Naks Cafe for the first time, ordered take out during our Kona Low storm, was very pleasantly surprised! Wagu ramen bowl spicy garlic packed some heat but it was yummy heat with the umami flavors. Prime rib plate had the "Best" scallop potatoes and salad dressing with the balsamic dressy was a 10! Prime rib had a nice char'd flavor and au jous had a great flavor, (wish the container was a little larger for a little more au jous. The variety pack of appetizers , waffle fries, celery, chicken tenders, mozzarella cheese sticks was a great start to our meal.
