They are ballroom dance shoes, so the front part of the shoe bottom was worn, but the heel was not. When I picked up my shoes, he said I owed him an additional $20 for heel repair, which the shoes did not need. He said his worker told him that the heels were in bad shape, but they were not, or I would've asked for them to be repaired when I dropped them off. I am not dumb. I know what my shoes needed, and they did not need heels. If there was an increase in the charge, he could have asked me before the work was completed, and I would've declined the extra unnecessary work. Total scam. I do remember him being unfriendly the last time I came here for business. I thought I would give his shop one more try. No thank you. I will never go there again. FYI, I just did a quick Google search and this behavior is illegal under multiple CA consumer protection areas: Breach of Contract (Common Law) California Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) California Unfair Competition Law (UCL) It is also a Federal Trade Commission violation.

I was visiting during the summer time so the warm weather outside probably didn't help. I was in and out in 45 minutes because it was quite warm inside. There were only a few associates working the day I went and it was quite busy. A few family's and a few solo shoppers like myself. They have the disposable stockings if you don't have your own socks on hand. Although I couldn't find something that fit right that day, I do appreciate they carry brands that cater to wide feet and other orthotic issues. Interestingly, I noticed this store also has an Aetrex machine. I tried a similar machine in New Jersey and while I think it has some merit (helps you find problem spots in your stance and recommends Aetrex orthotics / shoes), it just didn't work out for me or my partner. They do have a generous return policy if you return within the window.

They'll be informed of the best shoe fit. I shared my preferences and the associate brought me several potential options and heard me out if something wasnt for me. Even patient with me when I wanted to try a size smaller, given the shoe felt too wide. They help you put them on and tie them up. Left satisfied with what I got and with how personable the service felt. I also got a pair of shoes as a gift for someone and they worked with me, on a later day, to exchange for a smaller size (i went too big). I will say theyre evening staff (6ish) on the weekend isn't as welcoming. Working solo and long day so seemed like they were tired. When I went in the afternoon (3ish), the staff was more lively. This location also did provide more of an array of shoe options than I've seen at others.

Unfortunately, after only a few uses for work, the faux leather started peeling. I really liked them and wanted to save them, especially since I had just bought them, but the owner was incredibly honest and told me it wasn't worth repairing. Melissa took the time to carefully measure my feet, assess my needs, and explain my options. She brought out several pairs of shoes for me to try, and I ultimately decided that the Hoka shoes were the best fit for me.
