I'm confused by the bad reviews. I just had a great experience here after being turned away by the St. David's urgent care down the road because it was an hour until they closed (seriously. Scott & White had me checked in and sitting in a very comfortable ER room within 5-7 mins of walking in the door. They let me fill out my paperwork as I sat in the room and waited for the doctor. Doctor was awesome- prompt, matter-of-fact, and gave me options. But he also took time to just chat with me. Everyone was very friendly. Now- some reviews mention billing and they did not take my copay up front. Maybe the billing side will be less of a great experience but for now I'm feeling great about my visit and treatment plan. It's nice to know caring doctors, nurses, and support staff still exist out there. read more

I seriously never thought I would take the time to write another review for this place but after years of getting done so wrong it is worth my time.... I have been going here for years and am so tired of the terrible customer service. They never follow thru and do what they are supposed to do. I could go into detail but to spare you all my personal deets I will say that I've been waiting over 2 weeks to hear back from them regarding a referral. The check out lady had zero clue what she was doing and I had to walk her through the process and she still didn't get it right. In the meantime I have been dealing with a painful injury that requires physical therapy and I can't get the help I need. After not hearing back I called in only to be told they would call me back. They tried to blame my insurance company and then came clean and blamed it on a co-worked who didn't do their job. The guy even laughed about it... what's so funny dude? This is people's lives you're dealing with. My husband works his butt off and pays for insurance that we can't even utilize if this place does not do their job. There has to be some system in place to FOLLOW THROUGH until each patient is taken care of. When I have a task to complete I dot cross it out until it is done. Try that Scott & White! I am switching my Primary Care Provider to a new location and then having my son do the same so we don't ever have to deal with this place again. It's sad because I really liked you Dr. Patel & Dr. Gulgoski but service doesn't stop in the patient rooms.. it has to continue on after we exit the room, to check out and follow up.... read more

Took my mom here 10 days ago for testing. Have yet to hear results. Her doctor's office apparently did not follow up with ASKING for the results until we called to find out what was going on. They said they'd send an email. *sigh* My mom's 5' tall and 66 pounds and loosing weight rapidly. We need answers. Called S & W and looks like they can't find the lab results. Wish I could give negative stars. Terrible customer service and double billing. In addition to doctor fees (copay applied) they bill $590 extra for a facility building fee telling me this is legal because the doctors are contractors and not employees. Bottom line- insurance applied to deductible and applied copay so now I have to pay $300 for a regular office visit. On a seperate issue- Doctor/nurses will not return calls or receive calls. They never called with lab results or returned a single call when my husband had just been there and was very sick. They just keep sending you to a call center in temple. Is this the kind of Primary care physician relationship you want? I will never return here or go to any Scott and White again. read more

Went in because of a very sore, stiff neck. Could not really move my head at all. Dr Emmeck and his staff did a scan and said that I had arthritis of the neck. They gave me some pain pills and now I have great movement in my neck. Thank you to the fine staff at this Whitestone location. read more

I was called back quickly. Not much of a wait time each time I have been here. The staff is pleasant. My doctor is awesome. They do seem to have a weird billing thing but I'm not sure if that is my insurance or them. I'll have to investigate to find out. But the whole atmosphere of the place itself is nice. It's a fairly new building and is well kept in the areas I have been in. read more

Disreputable, unhanded and dishonest with insurance claims. Even when brought to the attention the staff that runs the hospitals and clinics will not attempt to assist you with fraudulent practices. I even tried to get names of corporate officials to contact them regarding fraud but could not get an answer. I will contact BBB and other sites to turn Scott & White in. I am changing doctors immediately and will never use them or refer them to anyone. read more

Never ever EVER again............what all the reviews say is true. These people are crooks. I started going here when I moved here last year. I loved that it was close to my house, and the facilities are very nice. The Doctor I got was SOOOOO nice and she listened and I love her. I love her so much that, when they screwed up my claims the first time and I had to pay for $250.00 in claims that were done wrong, I stayed because I hoped it was an anomaly. I was ok for a little bit, and then I got a bill in July 2015 for a physical in 2014. I have now spoken to 11 people over the course of 4 months and it still isn't resolved. Everyone agrees it's covered, everyone agrees that it's a coding issue, but their billing department just keeps blaming someone else. Today someone sent me an email telling me the code they were changing it to and if that sounded correct. Hmmmm if I knew that I would have fixed it by now, and I would be collecting YOUR paycheck! If I could put negative stars I would, even 1 seems high. Please save yourself the headache, and find ANYWHERE else. read more

This place is very shady. The receptionist told me it was illegal for them to take my insurance card before seeing the doctor. Don't fall for their scam! Know the potential cost before they give service. She was very rude! There are urgent care centers within 3 minutes of this shady ER. Don't go there! read more

Love the new offices. It is nice to have my primary Dr and other specialist all in one building.

BEWARE.... HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!! I will never use this place again or recommend it. I went into Scott & White because I couldn't get in to see my primary physician. I found out I had a kidney stone. Of course there was nothing I could do about it but just go home afterwards. Scott and White billed my insurance over 13K for this visit. Not counting the physicians bills. If I would have had any idea it was going to cost me so much for this visit, I would have waited to see my primary. These doctors know pretty much what they are dealing with, I was told they had 4 other people on this day before me who come in with a kidney stone. I'm sure it's a norm. I understand they won't fully know until more test are run, but they charge an outrageous amount of $$$ to find out. It's ridiculous they are able to get away with this. Possibly partially to blame is Obamacare. It's not care, it's let's see how much we can screw everyone. Not only is this outrageously ridiculous, but I pay $1,100+ a month for myself and 2 kids. "My" deductible and out of pocket is 5k per year... add over 13k for the year to pay for insurance... and if my kids have any illness or ? This is just downright wrong!!! The medical and insurance industry is a joke Anyway, the care was good, but hell... it was not worth the $$$ I got billed. read more

This is a fraudulent company with bad billing practices, they are ROBBERS. Doesn't matter what insurance you have, they know how to rob you. They are notorious and shameless about it too. I have insurance with co-pay of $40 to see a specialist, which we paid at the time of service. Then we got a bill that totals $200+!!! They charge you as if you went to a hospital even if it was just a consultation (talk). Don't go here even if your doctor is very good, because you will be charged a lot more than you would think by their billing department. It is not criminal or illegal to rob I suppose. I had to choose one star for this review but actually it is zero. We don't need such business in Cedar Park and we should all complain about their practices to the highest authorities and boycott them, I will do my part for sure. read more

We were very pleased with our visit today. We walked in and were greeted immediately by a friendly woman. She quickly got the info she needed. Before I even sat down RN Jay called for us. He and another RN checked in my 17 month old son who was working too hard to breath. My husband and 2 year old daughter were there with us. Dr Levy assessed my son within a few minutes. The needed treatment was given quickly and compassionately. An x-ray was taken efficiently by Stephen. We weren't rushed out and actually spent a couple hours there receiving treatment until my son improved. They handled his care with kindness and professionalism. The facility was spotless. I would go there again if I have another medical emergency. My only disappointment was the negative review on Yelp that caused me to delay going there first. I wonder if that person reviewed the wrong facility on Yelp. We had the opposite experience and are very grateful to the staff. read more
