After reaching out to several other window companies, we knew that once Jim from Windows Pittsburgh stopped by to provide us with a quote, his company was the one that we wanted to to go with. From the moment Jim, the owner of Windows Pittsburgh, stopped by he was completely professional and made sure to keep our consultation around an hour, which we appreciated. We went back and forth for weeks about grids and colors, and Jim was extremely patient and didn't pressure us at all during this time. For anyone who has shopped for windows, you would understand how "sales-pitchy" these consultations can be. Jim did not make us feel pressured or rushed in to a decision what so ever. He was just a good, local guy, who was thankful to do business with us. Windows Pittsburgh is locally owned, and operated. I liked this because I knew that we were giving back to our community vs. giving in to the larger window companies. After our initial consultation we did have one person come to get exact measurements, and then our actual instillation was approx. 4 months after our order. The installation was scheduled for three days, but it only took the installers two days total. I can not speak highly enough about the installation process because they really took their time to do things right, and cleaned up (very well) as they moved throughout the house. Drop cloths were used on the floors, and they swept and cleaned up after each window. I didn't worry at any time about broken glass, nails, etc. They did a fantastic job, and even wiped and cleaned the new windows (they will never be this clean again!) When I met with Jim initially, I told him that I heard of Windows Pittsburgh from Yelp. He seemed surprised by this, because he doesn't use Yelp for advertising anymore. As you know, this company isn't as heavily broadcasted in the Pittsburgh area. I'm hoping that our review gets noticed, and that anyone looking for new windows or exterior doors in the Pittsburgh area will consider using Windows Pittsburgh, they will really do a great job and you will be happy with the results!

I can't emphasize how shitty (sorry for the language but that…read moreis tame as to what I really want to write) of a job Steve and his son in law did on installing our windows. He should be embarrassed. He literally left gaps under the window ledges, cracked drywall, the worst caulking job I have ever seen, and cracked our siding. Here I thought since he lived in our neighborhood, while we didn't know him, and was someone who was in this business for 40 years he would do quality work and care about the job he did. But obviously not. Yea he came back a couple time to fix his many issues, even had to install trim to hid his poor caulking job. But as more issues were noticed he ignored our calls and emails over the last year. My wife and I were nothing but cordial to him even though he did such a shitty job. We gave him a chance to correct his mistakes but he rudely ignored us. We contacted Provia windows who tried to reach out to him on our behalf with no success. Provia told us they could not do anything because our issues were due to the poor installation. We were finally able to get Provia to come out due to a window lacking the UV coating. They just had a repair guy here for several hours. He only did the best he could do to mask the colossal mess Steve made of our windows. Said windows are in crooked due to lack of shims. But as we are in the midst of this major wind storm and the air coming through the windows is terrible. We are furious, We are stuck because of Steve's embarrassing work. How he lives with himself knowing how he treated us he should be embarrassed. We give you one last chance to remedy the situation or the only recourse is to file a suit against Steve because we can't get anyone in to repair the job Steve did.

Rex Glass has a lot of very nice custom glass solutions. I asked for a call back to set up an appointment for measuring and for the rep to give me options. I waited almost 2 weeks since there and no one ever called me back. Too bad the customer service in the store was fantastic, But i never got to use them as no one called me back??? I went with another glass manufactuer. I give the in store customer service 4 stars as he was extremely helpful. Unfortunately as far as i am concerned i gave Rex 1 star as they never called me back for an appointment. overall i am tossing up 2 & 3 stars?????? I will give them 2 stars as i can not rate there service or the measuring service.
