Windows are leaking for the past 8-9 years. Window World would not replace them nor pay for the damage to plaster, wood trim & carpet. They used numerous excuses for the leaks saying it is due to bad siding or bad roof. Their a ledged warranty is suspect. read more

The actual installers where fine but I had to fight to get my windows installed on time and then fight to get my siding installed at it was late and then they were supposed to deliver it when I was gone if there was a problem they were supposed to call. no phone call so when I showed up and it wasn't there I called and they were like oh well. i travel for a job and had taken time off to be home they were just like oh well. they knew I traveled for a living so I took two weeks off for no reason and couldn't go back to work then they finally showed and that meant taking more time off. so 4 weeks without work and they delivered the wrong color trim so they had to stop early the first day because they couldn't do any more without the trim. they did come back with the right trim today. no idea how much longer this will take. the worst part is I have to use them again to finish thr back side. I decided to use someone else to put my back window in because they only install the same size window over the old frame. they don't actually replace trim or anything. Im truly unhappy with them customer service. though as I said their installer both for the window and siding are the only reason they get any stars. the installers are great. the rest of the chain to get the stuff is absolutely horrid. Great price. We had all of our windows replaced and a bay window installed. Everyone was amazing to work with and the crew who installed the windows were wonderful! I ordered exterior doors. long story short... not only did it take several months to get installed, but they had to come back 4 times to fix problems with the installation. each time was a different sub-contractor and they blamed the problem on the previous contractor. I paid over $7K for these doors and am 100% dissatisfied. do yourself a favor and DO NOT use window world for any repairs or replacements!!! read more

Terrible installation and nothing but the run around trying to get it fixed. Windows were installed the day after the local hockey team won the cup. Installation was terrible. Many gaps with incomplete caulking. Water has entered the wall of our home causing damage to the interior wall. Buyer beware. read more

So very disappointed in Window World. 10 years ago they did a phenomenal job for us! From measure to install and also a few service calls. Lifetime warranty second to none. Now today... In the process of building a new house this year it has been one issue after another. Windows were to be ready for install in 8 weeks...didn't happen! It was probably close to a month or more later. 3 windows had measurements entered incorrectly and needed reordered...another one was broken prior to install. Took forever for all the replacements. Several months. There is a piece that is between 2 windows that will not stay attached. The windows all need lubricated as they are very difficult to move up and down. I think this is because they use a different product on the windows and it doesn't have the smooth slick finish of past windows. I Last contacted them last week...they apologized but still no communication of when coming to lubricate those windows. Last time I gave them 5 stars. Today I gave them 1 star...because I cannot do 0 stars! read more

Long term review: I had some windows replaced about 8 years ago by Window World and I thought people might like to know they've held up very well and I've never had any trouble with the windows nor the installation. I got the premium windows; I think they have since dropped the cheaper windows which were back then advertised for "$199 any size." The installer showed up on time and did a good job but he was griping that his assistant didn't show up. But he managed just fine by himself. I can't say if the company or the windows are better or worse than they were when I bought these but I'm a happy customer from the past. read more

Windows World was very prompt at taking my money and nothing else! I had to call for my own measurement appointment after I was told someone would be reaching out to me (strike 1). I changed my day around to accommodate the appointment and they never showed up or had any respect for me by at least calling to cancel (strike 2), I called very frustrated and was given a bunch of excuses..none that were my issue (I'm speaking of their daily operational issues..strike 3). I called to cancel my contract and was told I had to go through my sales rep..did that and he was rude! I called his direct manager explained the situation and of course they wanted to try and keep the business; then the manager started giving me excuses! Let me start off by saying that I work in customer service and am very forgiving. I really wanted to support this company. I really appreciate the transparency in ordering and how they don't make you negotiate or hide the cost of adding individual features. 1 star review, and here's why. Short Story: Order for 2 standard window and 2 standard patio doors was made on Sept 13. The final installation was completed on Jan 29. Poor communication, poor compensation for my headaches, poor management of this company. Long Story: I ordered by 2 windows and 2 sliding glass patio doors on Sept 13. It was an 8-10 week avg window. After 8 weeks of not hearing anything, I gave them a call. They told me my windows were missing and would follow up. A week later, I scheduled my install for JANUARY 20. I complained about the date, and the rep told me nothing they can do until the windows come in. January 20th comes around, and it's cancelled due to weather. I completely understand. They come back on Saturday January 25. THEY FORGOT THE WINDOWS SO THEY ONLY INSTALLED THE DOORS. What makes it worse is that I was told they wouldn't install the doors without the windows or else I would have had them installed in November. Then, the GM called me and acted like they were never planning on installing the windows because they woudn't have had time. Then, the crew tells me that they didn't have the right doors so they pack everything up. Then the GM calls me and acts like the paper work was unclear and that the order was right. (Um, the paperwork was filled out by YOUR team). The crew had to unpack everything out of the truck again and then install the sliding glass doors beautifully. They apologize for forgetting the windows. They tell me we are going to try to come back the next day (sunday) and if they don't, the GM will call me Monday morning. Guess what? No one called. I called and had my windows scheduled for Wednesday Jan. 29. No one showed up by 11. I called and waited, and eventually they sent a new crew. The install was fast. The GM gave me about 7.5% off with trying to tell me that he can't give me any more because profits aren't good on windows??? Such a miserable experience. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. First of all they only allow positive reviews on their pages. We got an estimate in November we were supposed to have the window installed at the latest in January. January comes window was not ordered will be in the end of January. We asked from the beginning for a Saturday installation we were told this was no problem. Well it became a problem when we complained they said they were doing us a favor for a Saturday installation. Then Saturday comes the crew cancels, we can not get a hold of anyone. We will be requesting a refund. Just run away from this company as fast as you can. Spend more anywhere else. read more

Ok here it goes ordered my window back last year finally got installed in June due to covid ok no problem. But couldn't figure out why my cooling and heating billed were so high after getting new windows and door. Well once it got so cold I had to have heaters in my daughters rooms I called and complained when I was advised that the windows were leaking. So when window world shows up to see why they realize they never put caulk on the outside of any of my windows or door. A few days later I call to see what's going on and they finally sent a guy out to fix the problem. But not only did they not put any caulk on the outside of my windows and doors but the inside caulk they used was wrong and had cracked and looked like trash. Hoping they would stand up for their product and mistake of crap workmanship I called and asked if they would make this right for the high electric and gas bills . I was told that the district manager said some I waited to long that it was my fault and that I should have called .. well I don't know about you but I didn't plan to climb up a ladder to the roof to see if my new windows were installed properly. the salesman was p okay. I wanted a stormdoor with clips to remove the screen. He told me I could get that. Turns out they don't make them anymore. I guess they didn't tell him. The windows ice up like our old metal windows did. I complained and they were very surprised. The storm door doesn't fit. We have to slam it to keep it closed and the handle turns up instead of down to open. The installers laid a calking gun on my painted dresser and took the paint off. They said it would be fixed. That was 6 weeks ago. And if they don't fix it corredtly the installer has to replace the dresser, not Window World. I'm sooooo disapointed. We were hoping for better service. We have been waiting 3 months for the gutters, vyn yl installation. No one calls us to give an update. Go somewhere else...... read more

Takes FOREVER to get your windows installed. They measured our one window incorrectly and won't fix it, they cut a piece short on one window and thought filling the space in with caulking would be a great solution (looked like garbage). The installers left cigarette butts and gum all over my front yard. DONT GET YOUR WINDOWS HERE. yea the prices are lower than most places but in this case you get what you pay for--wrong sized Windows and unprofessional service. read more

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. They had two windows to install and they installed one completely wrong. Took them 6 months to come and fix it and by that time I had water damage. They also replaced the facia wrong on the front of my house and they said they would come back to fix it and they still haven't done that. So it is coming up on 8 months with that not being fixed. They either say they're coming and not show up or they disappear until I call them back to remind them. The fact that I paid for everything and I am being treated like this is so unsettling and it is a wonder how they are still in business. read more

Horrible customer service! Salesman came to my home in August. He promised the windows would be in before it got cold. It took one month for someone to come to do the measurements. Installation of the windows started December 4th. I took off work and gave up overtime for the installation. The installer did not come to my house until 2:00 pm. I was told he would be there between 12 and 1. I questioned how 8 windows were going to get installed before dark. The installer really had no intentions of putting the windows in on the date of the scheduled appointment. After I called and screamed, they had him come back the next day. Then less than 1 week after the windows were installed, my front picture window has a one foot crack. I called the office and requested twice that the district manager call me back. This company has been advertising the $189.00 window since 1995. As advertised the $189.00 window is a buy-up window. Low-E glass and aluminum trim are not included in the base price. There is also a one time $150.00 trip charge. The final price is around 400.00 or more per window. The 3 men pictured in the company ads are standing on windows that have tempered glass in the window sashes. Tempered glass can support the weight of a small truck. This company spends thousands of dollars every month on advertising. They pay their installers $30.00 per window. You only get what you pay for so steer clear of these guy's! read more

Please don't bother with these people. First of all, after paying for 4 new windows there were weeks that went by with no communication. No date for installation. No explanation. Calls to their office were answered "we're waiting on the permit". Then we asked the filing date and said we'll contact the city ourselves to see what the deal is. Ahhh, now they have a permit and they're ready to schedule. Ok. Installation day rolls around and no show. Just a call stating the a truck broke down and they'd have to reschedule. The following day? No, a week and a half later. But first thing in the morning. 8am time slot. Then yesterday, a confirmation call stating that they'd be here today first thing. Then another call stating that that was a mistake and they'd actually be here between 10am and noon. Now it's 1pm, and after phone tag and "we cant get ahold of the installer" (their employee is unreachable during the work day?!), we finally get a call stating that they can't make it until 4pm or first thing tomorrow. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience. And we still don't have the windows! They sure cashed our check though. Many weeks ago. I'm tempted to hold off and post the whole experience (what if this somehow gets even worse?), but this should be enough to dissuade any potential customer. And that is my goal here. Because this company is a poorly run mess. read more

I made a mistake hiring this company to install my windows and entry door. I placed my order late July and the salesperson told me it might take 10-14 weeks for the installers to come out. 14 weeks went by without a phone call so I called them. They told me the installers would come the next day. If I didn't call they probably would not have come.The day came and a couple problems arose. First, the installer said he did not have the trims for my door and he would have to come back another day to put them in. Second, when he removed my doorbell there was a screw inside that he said "for the life of me, I could not get this screw out" and told me I would need to buy a new one. So, I thought I would try it myself. The screw came out easily and showed it to him. To me, that was a hint of possibly more problems if he couldn't remove one small, lousy screw that I had to take out for him. Thirdly, and the most upsetting problem was when I notice a large crack on one of my windows that they never mentioned to me until I did. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks for the new window to come in. Again, 4 weeks later no phone call so I called. Same story. Someone will be there within that week. Another guy came and he brought the wrong window because the installer wrote the incorrect one to fix! He said it will have to take another 4 weeks. I was not a happy man that day and I called the manager and complained. I recently received the correct window finally. So, it took 2 months for the job to be 100% complete instead of one day like it should be. Unprofessional and bad customer service. You would think I would be reimbursed for waiting so long because the job wasn't completed when it should have been but I received nothing from them. I ordered windows on Oct 2 ,2018 from Window World and was told by their sales representative that it would take 10-12 weeks at the latest to have my windows installed, which I believed since I used them once before and that's what it was 10-12 weeks. Here it is Feb 27,2019 and I have been getting the runaround about having windows installed. I was told that today the window installer would be there between 8-10am, at around 9:30, a woman called me to tell me that the installer's truck broke down and wouldn't be there today. I had left a message a couple days ago on a manager's phone and have not hear a reply back yet. I was told again today that the manager would call me by the end of the day and he didn't. I was told he was setting up at a home show and that the phone service was poor there. I think that the only thing poor is the lame excuses that I have constantly been fed by the people at Window World. It is a shame that I had to give them a 1 star, because they deserve 0 stars. read more

Overall, the windows are great but the process was a little weird. We scheduled someone to come out to give us an estimate on a weekday after 5:00pm since my boyfriend and I both work during the day. That guy was awesome! He advised us that we'd have to have another guy come out to measure and then we could schedule our installation. He said both of these things could be done on a weekday evening or on a weekend but when I was contacted to schedule the measurements I was told they would not come out on a weekend but he was able to come later on a weekday. After that we scheduled the installation for a Saturday. Two men showed up to do this, the one was nice but the other seemed very disgruntled and actually asked my boyfriend what we did to schedule it on a Saturday because apparently they never work Saturdays. They were at our house for close to 8 hours and were extremely neat, they covered everything up while working and did not leave a mess. They said they'd take everything with them but they did leave two of the window frames in our front yard, I think by accident. Like I said, it was a weird experience but our windows turned out great! read more

TERRIBLE BUSINESS, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We started this venture in October when the salesman came and measured all our windows and they'd be ready in 4-8 weeks. We called numerous times after hearing nothing in the 8-10 week period. They finally gave us a date in FEB and after calling numerous times to speak to management all a sudden they could fit us in during Jan. All 10 windows were measured and labeled by the salesman but low and behold they realized they were short 1 window but not before installing our kitchen window in the location of our bedroom. It's about 6 inches too small, right above our bed and in the very front of our house. They caulked all around it and we were left with that for 2-3 weeks until they got the other window. It was drafty and a complete eyesore. The best part is the installers acted like we were to blame being short 1 window even tho all windows were numbered and labeled. During the few weeks we waited for the mistake to be fixed we called 7 days straight and left messages and probably 10 times total. Finally they come and fix their mistakes and offer a measly $100 off. Then they have the nerve to send us a letter to sign and send back about how they cleaned everything up and whatnot. We found 2 or 3 screws inside our house on the floor... perfect for our puppy to find. On top of that there was a ton of paint and debris all over our yard. Ironically enough I even ended up with a flat tire with what looks to be a part of a nail and I can only imagine where it came from. Needless to say they aren't getting that paper signed. Please BEWARE!!! Communication is horrible and I have yet to receive a call back from management. I paid to have 4 windows installed, I was informed would take less than a day. The installer arrived late then took an hour in a half break came back and advised me that he needed to more caulking and would return later. He returned much later and the explained that he had crapped in his pants and that is why he was gone so long. Needless to say it was dark and the job still was not complete. He advised me that he would have to return on Sunday. I explained that we do not permit any work to be done on Sundays (Religious preferences). I explained any additional work that needed completed would need to be done from the outside. The gentleman showed up and of course he didn't have a ladder to do the work from the outside. Although, I originally informed him prior to coming back. It's four days later and now I'm being told that they can't come out to complete installation until sometime in January. I asked to speak with the manager and they have yet to return my calls. Next I will be contacting their corporate office to have this issue resolved ASAP. I am so disappointed in the customer service I received from Window World. We purchased windows for our entire home in August 2014 and was told installation would take place in 10 weeks. At week 10 I had not heard anything so called to follow-up and they said windows would be installed on December 2, which was Week 18!! I tried working with the GM of the Robinson store to push up the install date to the week of Thanksgiving when my husband was off work, and had to follow-up with the store several times before they agreed to do it. In fact, I had to email the owner of the company to get anyone to call me back about the date as the GM would not return my calls. Fast forward to installation. One of the windows was mismeasured so they had to come out in January and install that window. Finally, the weather gets warmer and we walk around the house and notice Window World left a large storm window against the house. I called Window World three times and was told it would be picked up, emailed the GM with no response and then emailed one of the owners, Fred Moran, with no response. I should also mention this is the THIRD time we have replaced windows in our entire house - so this is how they treat repeat customers. We think the quality of the windows are fine..but the customer service is inexcusable. Window World...you will never get our business again! read more

I called and had Window World come out for an estimate in April. I liked the price and the sales guy wasn't bad, so I signed the agreement/contract a day later. I was told it takes about a month for all the windows. I was getting my entire house done so when I didn't get a call after a month I wasn't overly concerned. After 2 months I called and got the run around (good luck talking to anyone who knows what they are doing when you call). After 3 months they came out and said they couldn't do all the windows but would be out in 2 weeks. Halfway through the instillation I noticed they put in 2 wrong windows, but they would be back in 2 weeks so no big deal I can live with windows not matching for 2 weeks. I am still waiting from July (it is the end of August now) so I finally called corporate. They got in touch with some manager who told me the best he could do was to send them back out in September. They are having issues with manufacturing. I had a toyota factory built in less time. There is more then just a problem, I would call it failure. I would never have them do another job ever, even if it was free. I might be waiting until winter for my windows to be fixed and the rest put in. read more
