The Scott Farm is one of my favorite places in Vermont. Lovely grounds, including beautiful stone walls and walking trails. But you can't beat the fall apples of many varieties. I pick up something different every year to try. I live locally, but it's one of my favorite places when I need a boost. read more

One of the most beautiful farms I've ever been to! They have a wide variety of rare apples and different fruits. Take a day trip out to pick apples and check out their stone masonry area which is very interesting. It's so beautiful, there are garnets in the stone! read more

We had a micro wedding at Scott Farm in 2020, so this place will always hold a special place in our hearts. It's a gorgeous spot to explore and we love the heirloom varietals. We had spent a long time speaking with Simon about cider, so are so excited to try the new ciders. And all of the stonework around the farm is very cool! read more

I love this place. I've been here twice, and both times were fantastic. I brought my parents here. My dad is somehow generally uninterested in doing most things, but he LOVED this place. My parents even bought matching t-shirts and are wearing them now and it's very cute. We got lucky and they had a few pawpaws around, so I also got to treat my folks to this unique fruit and they also loved that. 5 stars for: -unique apples (and their short history!) -welcoming grounds to hang out on -pleasing my parents read more

My husband and I visited Scott's Apple farm on my birthday September 23, 2020. I love to bake apple pies for my family, and wanted to add some different apples. The lady at the stand was wonderful!!! She took the time to point out the baking apples, and asked me how I baked my pies. We go to Vermont every September, and I WILL be at Scott's next year to buy more apples. This place is great if you like heirloom apples. They had around 20 different types of apples, many that I have never seen or heard of before today. The prices are reasonable at $12 per bag. You fill your bags yourself with heirloom apples or you can buy a bag of more common apples. They had cider in the refrigerator and it was selling quite well. We tried their doughnuts and they tasted great. Outside, they had a separate stand where they were doing a tasting of hard cider. Most of the cars in the parking lot were from out-of-state (CT, MA, NY and NJ). read more

This place is really the best. Reasonable prices. Really wonderful selection of Heirloom apples - unique even to what you find at well stocked Co-Ops/Grocery Stores. Great quality produce. Saw some beautiful eggplants and tomatoes too. People working there were incredibly friendly and helpful. Didn't try the doughnuts, but Im sure we will. The (unpasteurized) cider really is wonderful. She is definitely much pickier than I am when it comes to cider, and she loves it. Comes in wide mouth mason jars, which is rather charming. The property is gorgeous...theres really nothing to not like about this place. Were super happy to have it in our radius - and will visit regularly throughout this fall. Worth noting - the farm stand is behind the larger buildings - and isn't the easiest to spot from the roadside. read more

The pick-your-own apple experience is not the best. There are two rather small (in area) orchards featuring a limited variety of common apples. More unusual "heirloom" apples are already picked and available for purchase from bins in the store on the property, but no telling how fresh they were and, again, the selection was quite limited when I was there in early October. read more

The apples and orchard were great, but I was treated horribly by the owner Zeke. We came in, and his wife rather arrogantly bragged that he was "famous" and that someone had written a book about his apples. It being freezing cold out, I picked up an apple from a crate and it slipped out of my mittened hand onto the floor. Zeke came up to me and, scolding, said "If I can hear it fall, you bruised it." I said "Oh, yes - sorry. It was this one." He said "You just bought that apple" and just walked away. It was so rude. I can completely understand being protective of your apples, especially if they're your livelihood. I can also understand his asking me to pay for it if I dropped it and made it un-sellable. But he was so mean - he made me feel like I was some awful inconvenience, rather than an enthusiastic customer who had just made a little mistake, that he rather ruined the whole day, and I didn't end up buying a single other apple from him. You go to an orchard to have fun and enjoy yourself - not be scolded by a diva whose ego bruises easier than his precious famous apples. Even if you are 'famous' that doesn't mean you can scold your customers for making a pretty normal mistake. The apples were apparently sweet - the people, however, left bad taste in my mouth. I will not be going back. read more

Best Cider in New England, perhaps the country. I've been trying ciders all over New England and this is the best cider I have had, and perhaps the best cider I have ever tasted. The caretaker of the orchard Ezekiel Goodband blends an excellent cider. It is the real thing, unpasteurized and no preservatives. He uses many different apples that gives it exceptional body and flavors unlike the swill you will find at the grocery store. He sells it in 2 quart jars and it is worth every penny. The orchard is secluded in a valley off a dirt road and quite beautiful. There is a Upick and there are many good apples to choose from. I am very glad that they have not cheapened the experience with rides as many other cider mills have. read more

I love this place. As a huge fan of everything fall I love apples and cider, this place has the best. My favorite Apple was the Reine des Reinettes, almost like a honey crisp. They also do various types of events here in the barn. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of going to the 14th. annual Heirloom apple day event in 2016, had an incredible experience and with that we most definitely will have to go to the 15th Apple Heirloom Day event as well. Zek is a an exceptional speaker who's very knowledgeable on the unique cultivars he's grafted over his Mac trees to. We got a half peck bag to go and we also enjoyed some excellent wood fired pizza while we visited the orchard.
