I came in for an evaluation and got a bill for $220 when I got home. I didn't agree to it and I didn't sign anything that forces me to pay it. I'm now getting obsessive calling that won't stop demanding I pay. Don't go here. They are not strait forward and they overcharge. read more

Endless thanks to Dr. Lamming for emergency root canal treatment while I was on a family vacation in Southern California. If there were more than five stars rating, I would not hesitate to give it to Dr. Lamming. Two days into our family vacation in Southern California, I began to experience pain in my newly crowned molar. The pain became so unbearable on day four that I had to seek an emergency appointment on a Friday night. My dentist referred me to Dr. Lamming, and I was lucky that Dr. Lamming was willing to see me on a Saturday, his day off. I was extremely nervous and afraid my new crown might need to be yanked out for the root canal procedure. Dr Lamming was very professional and compassionate. He explained the entire procedure in detail and reassure me he would not remove my new crown for the procedure. Dr. Lamming was meticulous and competent. The entire treatment was pain free and done in one visit. He told me I might experience soreness for 2-3 days after the numbness was gone but I had only one day soreness and the pain and infection have never returned. P.S. I really enjoyed the Celine Dion concert Dr. Lamming put on the big LCD screen for me during the procedure. What an amazing way to comfort my anxiety! read more

Dr Lamming did such a phenomenal repair of my badly chipped front tooth. The color match and shape were perfect. I dare say even than what mother nature gave me. I found out that he mixed three different cement colors to achieve such a match. There were so many dentists before him who did the same repair but none of them came close to achieving the cosmetic quality of Dr. Lamming's work! This dentist is AWFUL. One of the hygienist's accidentally pulled half of my permanent retainer out of my mouth while she was flossing my teeth. She apologized relentlessly and hesitantly went and got the doctor to take a look. He angrily came over, and looked at my mouth for 5 seconds before he said to go to the front and make an appointment to come back to get it fixed. Keep in mind that there was a piece of metal HANGING OUT of my mouth. I went to the front, and asked if there was any way to get it fixed that day as I wouldn't be able to comfortably eat. They sent me back, and the doctor was very clearly agitated and annoyed that he was doing this. During the re-gluing process, he grabbed a metal, shaving like tool, and began to grind down on the back of my teeth. It was hurting SO badly, and all I could taste is blood. I asked him to stop several times, and he continued to tell me that he didn't have time to stop. The experience of the re-gluing was horrible and lasted about 45 min. To top it off, they charged me $350 dollars and told me that the retainer was old, and it wasn't their fault. This was a couple years ago. It wasn't until today, when the retainer came off from eating a CHIP and I had to have an emergency appt at my new dentist when I truly realized how horrible this appointment really was. My new dentist fixed it in less than 10 min, no grinding tool, no blood, and NO CHARGE. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR. read more

I saw Dr. Lamming years ago, and he told me I had 8 cavities. I was skeptical. I then saw another dentist who has an excellent reputation who took more X-ray which revealed I had no cavities. Since then I've also seen other dentists. All X-ray showed that I have no cavities. Thank goodness I didn't let Dr. Lamming drill holes and fill my teeth with metal for no reason!! Dr. Scott Lamming is seriously the best! He has been taking superb care of my family for many years. Last week, during a routine dental cleaning, Dr. Lamming diagnosed a fibroma inside my cheek. My initial reaction was fear but Dr. Lamming immediately alleviated my concerns. I am so grateful for his skill, extensive training and interest in surgery. Dr. Lamming removed the fibroma and had me stitched up before I could get half way through the latest issue of People magazine. Dr. Lamming and the entire staff continue to exceed my expectations. My entire experience with Dr. Lamming and his office was nothing but painful and disappointing. X-rays were taken that were painful because I have no back teeth. The assistant kept pushing to get those x-rays at the expense of my pain. I guess he doesn't have the latest x ray machine because that was used in my last appointment with another dentist where nothing actually goes in my mouth, just the machine going around my head. I came in for a broken tooth and I wanted to get at least 3 implants. I was scheduled without a discussion of what was actually going to take place. I didn't even know how much it was all going to cost. I called office several times, upset and afraid of upcoming procedure and the cost. I finally got a response from Lamming and he was cold, unresponsive to my fear of the cost. I had to finally just ask what the total price would be - $13,000. I got no breakdown of how that number came about or even a willingness to give a discount or payments. The painful, antiquated x-rays were $300.00. I decided to save some more money and then get back to him. A couple of months later my husband called Lamming, and he didn't call back. So we decided to find another dentist. He called again for the x-rays to be sent to another dentist, and then Lamming immediately got on the phone. My husband requested the x-rays be sent to our new dentist and Lamming inquired about the cost of the new dentist. Well, it came out that Lamming charges $3800 per implant and Dr. Kim charges $1500. All Lamming could do was question and criticize this price. I did go to Dr. Kim and everything has been great so far. In fact he is so far ahead of Lamming it's funny. He has state of the art machines and his procedures are more advanced than other dentists I have encountered. I will give a yelp review of Dr. Kim in Irvine, when finished. When someone has to tell me he is the best in the business, I have to wonder, why is he saying this. Is there a question in his own mind, or is this just a way to justify his exorbitant prices? read more

Have been a patient of Dr. Lamming for over 10 years. As a matter of fact my family has been seeing Dr. Lamming for over 10 years. Recently I had an appointment for a cracked cap on a tooth that gave me no pain. I walked out with an extracted tooth needing a new post and a cap, an undiagnosed root canal (emergency) procedure and a series of poor partials that came off during the first 24 hours. It appears Dr. Lamming had no back up plan, never returned my call(s) for help. Prior to my appointment I was to celebrate my kids graduations from University with a family trip. It appears Dr. Lamming was distracted by his new business of Dental Implants. What started out as a chipped cap ended with a tooth extraction, (Now needing an implant) a necrotic tooth in which he performed a partial root canal and a partial to cover up the whole mess made of what appeared to be bubble gum. $5000 dollars in debt, emergency root canal with an endodontist who took the proper standard of care to make sure the so called necrotic tooth was not nerve sensitive, that was another $1100 on a Friday morning after 10 days of pain, complications and assurances that it was okay to travel. Dr. Lamming you failed a patient, you are selling a new product, DENTAL IMPLANTS, worst of all you only responded when the other Endodontist called you out.
