I'm not a fan of most dentist. But I have to give them a 2 this time because I was so disappointed. I went in specifically to tell them that with my anxiety the doctor sent me in because I was tapping and grinding my teeth during the day. I asked if there was anything I could use to not tap so hard. The lady suggested a night guard even though I told her that's mainly during the day. She said I could also wear it during the day.( not true if you look at how thick it is) so then when I went back I said that the night guard is working OK at night but do they have any suggestions for the daytime. She said that what I should do is get their custom made retainer for the daytime. She said it even feel so comfortable, that a lot of people wear it at night. She said they would quote me for the retainer one this time and it was $400. So I was like wait so I spent $400 on a night guard which I can't wear during the the day, and now I have to spend another $400 for a retainer for the day that a lot of people wear overnight. I just feel like I was sold on spending more than I needed to. Which is disappointing cause I have been going there so long and really love it.

The staff here is incredible hands down the best customer service experience I've ever had. Everyone is involved and genuinely caring. It never feels like a rushed "hi-bye" visit; they take the time to connect, make you feel seen, and somehow manage to be personable, funny, and kind all at once. Honestly, I wish I could be friends with all of them! I've come here for pictures, X-rays, cleanings, deep cleanings, and most recently wisdom teeth removal. Every experience has been amazing, but it was my wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Kamal that drove me to finally write this review. I was terrified going in. I put off getting my wisdom teeth out for 5-7 years because my pain tolerance is laughably low (getting my ears pierced was traumatic enough). I had to get all 4 removed at once to relieve some pain I was experiencing, and from the first conversation, the team completely reassured me. They went over everything, post-op plans, expectations, recovery tips and made me feel like I was genuinely in good hands. But even then, I had no idea just how committed they were to making this comfortable for me. The surgery? Flawless. I didn't feel a single bit of pain or discomfort not before, during, or after. I'm someone who cries at a paper cut, so to walk away from oral surgery without pain? Truly a miracle. I chose IV sedation, and it was so easy , i fell asleep, and next thing I knew, I was at home, pain-free and minus four teeth. Recovery has been just as smooth. No pain, no issues, and if there ever was a moment of mild discomfort, Tylenol took care of it. I went in for my post-op checkup and everything is healing beautifully. Ill now be starting my invisalign journey with them. Dr. Kamal is amazing, and I still can't believe how positive this entire experience was. I couldn't have asked for a better team or outcome. Thank you to the ENTIRE team, I appreciate you all. Desert Inn Smiles truly feels like family and I'll never stop recommending them.

I was given a detailed treatment plan with pricing after my insurance was included the first visit, scheduled an appointment to come in a couple weeks later and without no phone call update I show up to the appointment and a woman that I never saw before gives me a new treatment plan which was completely different from my original treatment plan with an increase of $300. I ask her why has there been a price increase and she says it is protocol that insurance is ran before the appointment and pricing for fillings increased-- so coincidently there was an increase in "fillings" within a couple weeks before my appointment? Weird I told her I'm not paying that and she replies, OK that's fine and I walk out. I then call my insurance company and they claim to have no record of anyone calling from Aloha Dental, no one submitting photos or estimates for a treatment and they advised me to speak to my dentist office to find out why there was an increase. I call back again and the same manager person says, well if you didn't storm out, I could've explained everything to you. Then she immediately offers me a discount and says again if you didn't storm out, I would've offered you a discount-- which is a lie because as soon as I said, I'm not paying that she quickly replies, OK that's fine and didn't speak anymore. She gives me a reference number and a name of a person she allegedly spoke to from my insurance. I called the insurance company again and they couldn't find that reference number and didn't know what I was talking about. I immediately call back to cancel my Husband's upcoming appointment with them. Be careful! Companies will do whatever they can to get more money out of clients.

The office is clean, organized, and has a calm vibe. Dr. Meron Anghesom was amazing! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. His assistant Tysa (hope I'm spelling her name right!) was also great, she helped me feel comfortable the whole time. Both she and Dr. Anghesom were super gentle and have such great bedside manner, which made a big difference for me. Dr. Anghesom was able to get me in for a root canal the same day. Since November of 2023, I have been a patient of Dr. Anghesom for two crowns that I needed in the lower rear molars on either side of my mouth, which previously had fillings but both of which were cracked. During the initial installation procedure, the dental assistant to Dr. Anghesom was quite unprofessional. At one point she dropped my new crown on the floor and then tried to put it right back in my mouth without disinfecting it. When I told her that she needed to clean it, her response was "with what?", as if she did not realize the ground was covered in germs and the crown needed to be sterilized. She also was very impatient with me during the painful procedure, asking me if I just want to stop and come back another day instead of having a few moments here and there to deal with the pain. Dr. Anghesom also had to continue to ask her to do things that normally I would expect an assistant to know how and what to do in such clinical procedures. This was all very concerning. In all instances of installing the new crowns (new or fixed ones), even though Dr. Anghesom knew that my crowns would need to be buffed down so that I could close my mouth properly, it was primarily his assistants that did that sanding down work on my crown and not himself. I found it strange he did not want to do this careful work himself since he was said he was ultimately responsible for his work. Indeed its possible both crowns got the chipped hole because the sanding down was not done properly. By August of 2025, both crowns had a hole and came right off just during eating regular meals. Dr. Anghesom said he wanted to correct his work for the first broken crown so I forgave the previous issues and allowed that to occur, but now, two months later, the other crown has also gotten a hole and come right out. I don't have the time or patience to continue working through a painful procedure for someone to get all their work done right a second time, and maybe even more after that! I have already gone to a different dentist who said the issue was not the material the crown was made of, but the "technique" of the previous dentist. My assumption now is that I will need to get the repaired crown fixed yet again. Guess I should have seen the writing on the wall with the assistant's Dr. Anghesom employs and known I was not at a dental office that takes the careful attention to detail for something as costly and important (and painful) as permanent new teeth, which my new dentist said "should last at least 10-15 years if not possibly forever"! Dr. Anghesom did not want to offer any kind of refund for the two cracked crowns. He did offer to repair his work at no cost, but two repairs is not a coincidence and he did not want to offer and refund beyond fixing what I think should have been done correctly in the first place. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Summerlin Smiles and have cancelled all my future appointments with the team. I don't take the time to write reviews on yelp regularly, but felt so disappointed by this entire experience that it was necessary to warn other possible patients and to recommend they go elsewhere for important dental work outside of teeth cleaning.

I knew I needed to find a new dentist--one who would respect my health choices, think outside the box, and actually listen to my concerns. That's when I found Dr. Browner through the IAOMT directory, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell I'd made the right decision. Dr. Browner is the complete opposite of my last dentist. She took the time to thoroughly examine my health, performing the most extensive oral exam I've ever had, including checking for signs of cancer. She went over my x-rays and photos with me, pointing out things she didn't like--something my previous dentist never did. My old office was always rushed, and the team barely took the time to explain anything. Another huge relief was how fear-free this office is. I suffer from ADHD and claustrophobia, so dental visits are usually anxiety-inducing, but this time I felt completely at ease throughout the appointment. No rushing, no feeling like just another patient--they truly made me feel cared for. I'm so thankful to IAOMT for helping me find Dr. Browner. I felt disappointed by what happened at Mesa and decided to seek care somewhere else. Before this unnerving event, I would have given them 5 stars. If not, I probably would've rescheduled from how scared I was, but I'm glad I did it. When I walked into the office, I was immediately greeted by two great ladies at the front. Vik was definitely the friendly face that I needed to see when I walked in to make my mind at ease. Once I was called back, the lady that took care of me with my x-rays was super nice and super talkative with me because when I am scared, I am a certified yapper and she literally entertained me the whole time. So thankful for her. The dentist I couldn't be more thankful for Mark Escoto. He came in, had a genuine conversation with me and let him know my concerns and he listened like truly listened. He didn't shave me for avoiding the doctor. He didn't shame me for not flossing like I should. He just understood. I didn't think I'd get my cleaning all at the same day with my x-rays because in the past office that I was in I'd have to do two different scheduling and it was just such a hassle. So to my surprise when I was able to do the cleaning, I was super ecstatic. Nervous but ecstatic that I didn't have to make another appointment. The cleaning itself was pretty good. I was numbed because they knew how sensitive I was and obviously since I hadn't been in years, it was gonna be a little bit rougher. So to spare me that they helped me out with the topical numbing cream. Super appreciative and that's the attention the detail that really makes me feel listened to and cared for here. I will absolutely be coming back for my six month appointment and I am confident that I will have taken the steps that I was told and overall make my dental health healthy again., I've already recommended this place to my coworkers and my mom, but I definitely recommend this to you all too!!
