I was a patient at my previous dentist's office for almost 10 years, but over the past year, the experience took a serious turn for the worse. My first few appointments I had with Mesa were wonderful. I like to be on a really consistent cleaning schedule - usually more than the standard 2 times a year. I loved my tech too - she was always gentle and thorough. The last time I went in for a cleaning, my regular dentist was out of town. I was seen by a different dentist who recommended a plan that was invasive and unnecessary. They sent me to Red Rocks Periodontist (they are amazing). I was scared and concerned going to Red Rocks. When the amazing surgeon at Red Rocks looked at the areas of concern - he said that the proposed plan of treatment that the new dentist recommended was rather reckless and unnecessary. I felt disappointed by what happened at Mesa and decided to seek care somewhere else. Before this unnerving event, I would have given them 5 stars. Again - I really liked my tech and my original dentist. However - the bad experience caused me extra time and unnecessary stress. And because of that - I decided I no longer wanted to be there. read more

I don't know if I got a new dentist here? But I certainly got the one who has a new car payment. I went in for two teeth. They did every thing they could see available on my insurance even when I said over and over it was for two teeth. I had just had my routine cleaning done three weeks prior to my appointment at a different dentist and was unhappy with a siding repair they did on a front tooth. He still did gum measurements despite me saying I just got everything done. I better not receive a bill for that. They had me do every x-ray they could saying it was to help with my questions. Which I can understand needing to see everything. When I finally got the doctor, he didn't ask me much more about why I said I was there and he moved on to everything he could find to fix. I do want to clarify he did make sure he was aware, but just proceeded with his items. Fortunately, one of my reasons for being there did fall into view because the X-ray, but I would worry if he didn't see it as important, because I'm not sure a lot of attention would have gone to that if he didn't. He made a lot of assumptions about every symptom I had, and a lot about the tons of work in my mouth without even asking me. I think it would have been surprising for him to hear I was there for it and paid for it. However, I appreciate the attempt at educating. I just felt like it took from why I was actually there. With his assumptions, this includes going as far to say he looked at my medications and decided their combination caused dry mouth. Why wouldn't you ask me about that? I had just got done telling the amazing person helping me that my doctor and I were working on the dose to get the right mg down to prevent it. But he didn't ask, lol. Just told me to drink water while I had a water bottle on my lap in the chair. Thanks for that. Every phone call now my mom and I remind each other drinking water gets rid of dry mouth, lol. Then for the second reason I was there, for an hour and a half, mind you, he proceeds to tell me how easy it would be to fix the problem and he'll do it when I come back for the other work. So he could have fixed it right then, but it seemed like he just wanted to get more money from me by delaying. I certainly better not receive a bill for all his repeated services when I said multiple times I was there for bad fixes on two teeth recently and I just had my cleaning. I just needed someone to look at those two teeth. The woman who did the X-rays was a gem. Give her a raise for listening to me then having to sit there and listen to him explain my life to me. I hope I get a call back to see someone more eager to help. I edited this review to remove the comment about professional. He was very professional, and technically didn't do anything wrong. But! He didn't listen to me. At all. Proceeded with what he wanted and told me more than twice to schedule my cleaning not hearing I had just got it done at a different dentist. Horrible experience. Started as a new patient because my dentist retired. I had a partial deep clean which was completely unnecessary as my mouth was meticulous and I had two fillings done although she suggested much more work (another post entirely). One filling was done (hopefully) fine but damaged the gum line of three other teeth in the process and it took over three weeks to heal. The other cavity was done with no anesthetic because she was incapable of getting me numb. She was so frustrated with me that she took the metal handle of an instrument and tapped on my front teeth without my permission ( I was shocked) which were not the teeth being worked on, to illustrate to me , an adult, the difference between pain and pressure! If I could give this place more stars I would! You can tell as soon as you walk in that the staff enjoys what they do and they are well taken care of. They are so friendly and informative. They walk you through everything from what their going to do, while their doing it and what's to come after. Disappointing experience, had a crown replaced and the next day it fell out. Went back and it took 3 1/2 hours to get it fixed due to the dentist knocking off another tooth. The staff is extremely rude and they try to over charge their patients by always doing an exam and x-ray every time I get my teeth cleaned which is every 3 months, not necessary in my opinion just a money grab! I found a new dentist and they confirmed an exam and x-ray is NOT needed that often and to much radiation from the un needed x-rays. read more

So happy I found Mesa. My teeth need extra attention due to an autoimmune disorder & dry mouth, so needless to say, going to the dentist makes me Really nervous. Mesa Dental totally made me feel at ease and they helped me so much. Best dentist office in vegas by far in my opinion. Doctor was SO thorough when she came in for my checkup. She walked me through all my photos and x-rays, and I actually felt like I knew what was going on with my teeth and I had a doctor who cared enough to inform me and to create an action plan together. The office staff was so kind. My hygienist was excellent, and she was very gentle, as my teeth are very sensitive. There is SO MUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL in this place which i am all about. My experience with Dr. Emily Browner was not a good one. I had a hole on the outside of my upper front tooth on one side (smaller than 1 mm by 1 mm) a pin size hole, enamel chip. The hole didn't even reach the dentin. The hole was in the enamel only, smaller than needle size. In fact, you can't even see the hole until it is pointed out. An X-ray didn't show any issue with the tooth. She ground the hole 6 mm by 6 mm and 3 mm depth in the tooth. She ground my tooth unnecessarily. She recommended for me to have 14 fillings for my teeth despite that I have no pain, no sensitivity in any of them. The X-rays didn't show any cavities. I went to another dentist who recommended only two fillings are needed for my teeth. My mouth, throat and stomach still bother me because of chemicals she used. It seems like her office didn't use enough water to remove the chemicals after working on my tooth. Good Luck Guys! read more

The wellness program they have helps those without insurance so much. Every other person I've seen has told me there's no point in saving my teeth. TLDR: Not good at what we do, yet, you pay us for fixing our sloppy work. On April 5, I had gone and paid them $139 to re-cement an existing Cerec crown that had come off. During and procedure and after the procedure there was a massive push both by the doctor and the cashier to join their plan. When I questioned the cashier on the terms and conditions of the plan, she was clueless. Her answer was that no one has ever asked that question. Regardless, you should know what you are selling. On April 21, the crown came off again while eating a cheesecake. So that was like 2 weeks and a few days over. I went into their clinic on April 27th and I was told to come back on the 29th. You would think that a business that cares about its customers would actually offer you something to make it better. Not even a sloppy apology was offered for my inconvenience. When I went on April 29th to get my crown cemented on, the front desk lady asked me for $139 again. I expressed to her that this should be done under warranty as it didn't even last 3 weeks. She asked me to wait while she speaks with the dentist. I was informed that the dentist is ready to meet me halfway at $69 or else I can leave. So, basically, I had paid $139 to rent my own crown for about 2 weeks. What if it came out again since they don't know what they are doing? I refused and walked out. I would be pursuing legal action against them if I am not refunded within 10 days. If they don't even stand by their work, do you really want to get a procedure done there? Go there if you are feeling lucky! read more

Dr. Browner's team does not seem stressed out and are more than happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your appointment. Next, her dental assistant (I forgot her name, but she's a taller young woman) is very friendly and professional. She made me feel welcomed by making sure I was confortable in my seat while she took my x-rays and I could see the confidence in her work. I even watched Netflix during my time on the seat. Then there's Dr. Browner! I do not like going to the dentist at all, but I had a molar with a large cavity and it was definitely time. From the moment Dr. Browner walked into the room, I knew I had chosen the correct dentist. Her demeanor & professionalism will make you feel that you're her #1 patient and priority. Dr. Browner is extremely knowledgeable and was able to thoroughly explain and provide me with several options to resolve my issue. We even took care of my procedure that same day and removing my tooth was painless. She also followed up with me the next day to make sure I was feeling well. Working in the medical field, I know that it's absolutely RARE that doctors answer phones at front desks. I called to schedule my new patient appointment. I was pleasantly greeted by Dr. Browner herself. First of all, I was shook. And second of all, I have a deep, profound respect for healthcare professionals who don't feel like they're above answering phones in their own practice. My first appointment with the office consisted of going over consultation for Invisalign. My second appointment was a cleaning and fixing an old filling. Let me give you another reason why Dr. Browner is as an angel -- She became the dental hygienist for me in the event that her temporary hygienist no-called no-showed. Here, you get expert care and most importantly, extra special attention including a lengthy explanation with the doctor about all the ins and outs of your mouth. She also does a medical check--checking lymph nodes, your bite, clenching etc. You never feel rushed. They take their time here to help you understand the diagnoses and the cost breakdown prior to any work being done. Their dental hygienist, Rowena is fantastic! You don't have to worry about bringing in your own towel to wipe down your face afterwards. Quite the contrary. She's cautious, explains the procedure prior to using her tools, and you get to watch a show on tv up close and personal instead of staring a a blaring light. Just be mindful of what you watch because I had the pleasure of watching a food show, with all the salivating, I was thankful for the suction. Mesa Dental takes away the uneasy feeling of having to go to the dentist. It's very relaxing there. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Let me start by saying dr Emily is sooooo sweet and is downright smart and detailed in her work. One time I was in pain and dr Emily was so sweet and left me a voicemail to tell me she didn't forget about me. She also personally called the next day to check on me after she placed my all new porcelain crown. I just underwent a "comprehensive dental exam" and dr Emily DID REALLY give me an in depth dental exam that no other dentist had ever given me. (She is the 3rd dentist I have tried in Vegas). I learned so much about my dental anatomy afterwards. I'm also amazed by how she takes time in actually explaining in detail the right way to floss and why she prefers the use of coconut floss over the commercial flosses. She takes the time in sitting down with u and explaining everything. I loved how she also took the time in explaining all the little X-rays and all the digital photos she took of my teeth. Dr Emily and staff makes you feel like family. You don't feel like you are just a patient. They really do care over there at Mesa Dental. I also have to say that she really makes u feel special and comfortable in a way where she blows this custom mist blend of essential oils with her humidifier while she's working on you.
