I did a lot of research before deciding to go with Scott Solar. I didn't want "just anyone" adding tint and PPF to my days old Tesla. The pros: scheduling wasn't too bad and they were reasonably priced for the service rendered. I appreciated that the person handling emails was patient and informative, answering all the questions I had about their different offerings. I love that they've handled many, many Teslas so I was assured they knew what they were doing. I ended up getting tint on all windows and the windshield. I also opted for a full frontal PPF after discussing my options with them since the 1 I originally wanted would've stopped midway up the frunk, which I didn't want and was unaware of. The cons: there were some flaws in the workmanship. Upon driving home, I noticed the PPF on the driver side mirror was peeling and even after following their instruction of leaving the car out in the sun for a couple days, there was a long, horizontal bubble where the grill meets the frunk that would not shrink. I ended up making an appointment for them to fix both things. When I got home, I noticed the frunk bubble was gone but the driver side mirror's PPF wasn't cut properly. It looked rushed. Frankly, I didn't want to drive for a 4th time all the way over there to get it fixed. A couple more things I didn't really care for: there's a piece of debris trapped under the driver window tint. It's an eye sore more than anything, but I would've liked a wee bit more attention to detail on that. And I guess a lot of water is used when applying tint to the windshield because my interior panels are wrinkled and have not gone back to their original smooth state, which is again, an eye sore more than anything. I also wish I knew that multiple trips to their facility was required. Obviously, fixes would warrant a trip, but I didn't know they offer (and highly recommend) a PPF check up to make sure everything settled properly. My impression was that it was one and done once they completed the work. Considering that I live an hour away, having to Uber 3 times was a hit to my wallet that I wanted to avoid. Overall, I'm very pleased with the work. From afar, the car looks amazing. But if you're a stickler for details, little flaws eat at you.

Wrapped my car because I didn't want to be another white Tesla. Also had tinted my windows, powder coated my wheels, and painted the calipers. I've mostly been dealing with Jason. He is super responsive. Their customer service is impeccable! I would definitely recommend their services. Makes me want to buy another car just so so they can work on it! Will definitely come back for any future customization needs!

TLDR: Flawless workmanship, nationwide warranty, honest/cheap/transparent pricing. Scott is the man. Flawless tinting of both of my family's vehicles. You can't beat the value, quality, and warranty of their workmanship. This is the place to go in DFW especially if you have a Tesla. Scott Solar perfectly tinted the wife's Model 3's rear windshield and matched the gradient to the roof. Every other company I talked to had all these disclaimers about the difficultly of it - extra charges for it, can't do it in one piece needs to be two (forgive my terminology), the warranty not covering it because of inevitable cracking, etc. While every other shop charges $100+ for the brow tint (the top few inches of the front windshield), Scott Solar offered it to me for free both times. While I opted to skip it, they perfectly tinted my wagon with its weird angled back windows and when my wife saw it, she decided she wanted her brow tint removed. Took her Tesla back to Scott and they removed it for free. I overdo it on quotes. At the minimum I get 3 quotes for everything - I got 10 for my wife's auto insurance, 12 for my attic insulation, 17 for my home refinance, etc. I got 5 for tinting and I doubt you will beat Scott's prices in DFW. He is a man of principle. I was able to talk to Scott about his business and his philosophy. He is very transparent and was more than willing to explain to me that he intentionally sets his prices low and how/why, not overcharging like his competitors.

Did an excellent job on my 1987 240 Volvo wagon! They cleaned off the 30+ years baked-on old tint and installed Ceramic 30% on front driver and passenger windows and Ceramic 15% on the back and rear. Totally freshened the car up and it looks 20 years younger now. The pricing is competitive, but I didn't come for the pricing I came because of all the 5 star reviews! They are professional, customer service oriented, friendly, and respond to any question with straight and honest answers - no upselling and no BS. They know their products backward and forwards including car wraps and paints. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone and will bring my future vehicles here.

Did 2 more vehicles, again, no issues. John is a top notch business owner who has a great staff. Got both vehicles done in a reasonable time and looks great. Scott was behind the counter and cares for his business and his customers. The place was recommended on Facebook in a group I'm in. Looked in Yelp, seen the reviews. Went to get an estimate and saw easily a million $$$ worth of cars. If a Bentley owner, a Porsche owner and various others trust Scott I can trust him with my Hoopty. I'm going back to get my hood wrapped and my chrome blacked out.

I wholeheartedly can't recommend Scott Solar Auto Spa ENOUGH because it's just been nothing but a pleasure working with John, Nadya and the team. These are ridiculously hard working people with servant hearts and treat you like family every step of the way. I've gone twice now to get work done and always leave John's shop happier than when I came. He is always accommodating and ready to serve any need I could possibly have. His relationship building is just as excellent as the work he does. QUICK REVIEW- I'd trust SCOTT SOLAR AUTO SPA with any cosmetic upgrade to my family's vehicles. I got PAINT PROTECTION FILM, VINYL HOOD WRAP, CERAMIC WINDOW TINT, CERAMIC PAINT COATING. Clear, honest communication coupled with a reasonable price and fantastic work. My experience couldn't have been better. DETAILED REVIEW- I bought a 2021 Dodge Challenger and was looking for a VINYL HOOD WRAP. Protecting the paint underneath the wrap was my top priority. I called around and read a lot of reviews. I settled on two places. The first one I called tried to upsell me to get the hood painted instead of wrapped at a significant cost increase. Then I called SCOTT SOLAR. I spoke with Nadya Scott and she got me booked into a slot quickly and sounded excited about the project. When I got to the shop, Scott also sounded excited about how the car would look which, of course, I wanted to hear. He also suggested a PAINT PROTECTION FILM for the front end which I was already considering (Texas has more rocks kicked up than any other state it seems). I added limo tint to the back and side windows which wasn't on my initial order. Scott didn't blink an eye and suggested the CERAMIC TINT which I was already settled on. I left the car anticipating how great it would look. Two days later I called with another curve ball. One of my buddies talked me into getting the CERAMIC PAINT PROTECTION on the entire car. Again, Scott rolled with my addition and told me he'd have to keep the car a bit longer. He stayed in contact with me throughout the process and even sent pics when I asked him to. Once I received the car I was in love with the work. Every time I take the car out someone comments on it. I credit a lot of that to the designers at Dodge, but Scott Solar has to get some as well. They took something already beautiful and made it gorgeous. Thank you Scott and Nadya.

I could not recommend this company more. When I saw an all 5 rating, I was a little suspicious but these guys are great. Got a very good price on the tint job for my Tesla Model 3 (hundreds less than some quotes I received). The tint job looks great and they even gave me a slight discount because it took longer than the 2 hours they quoted me. I am going back next week to get a chrome delete done. Can't recommend this company enough. I made the drive out from Dallas and it was well worth it. It's nice to know there are still companies like this out there. read more

BLUF: window tint removal was a breeze I messaged John S, the owner, via Yelp and he was very responsive over a weekend in September 2017 giving me a quote of $20 to remove my driver and passenger window tint. I had to ship my car to CA and they have different tint laws than TX. Upon arrival, I wasn't sure which suite the tinting place was, but it was obvious after noticing a lime green trunk in the front. There was nobody in the office, until I was greeted by a girl and I gave her my keys when she asked, skeptically at first. She then asked me to drive my car into the garage port. I gave her a hard time; she can't drive stick shift! I asked if I could borrow an iPhone charger, and she let me borrow without a hassle. She came back and asked me after 30 minutes if I wanted the smaller pillar window tint removed and they did so. No issues when I got my car back, did take a little longer than expected. My car did smell like a whiff of ethanol, but all gravy. I paid with Amex via smarphone app swiper read more

I wish there were more stars I could use. I was in Dallas for work back in September and one day I decided to buy a new car. I knew I wanted window tinting on my car. I searched Yelp! for options. I contacted a few and John messaged me back with requested information. In addition to the requested information he also advised me about a promo he was running and the great price. He also cleared up some questions for me. Made the appointment (BTW... very flexible and lots of options on time). I was advised it would be about 2 hours and I was fine with that. John showed me a sample of the film I had chosen. It was not a standard film he carried... so he ordered it and had it ready for me. I was pleasantly surprised! Great Southern hospitality... I was offered WiFi, drinks and was check upon to ensure if I needed anything. Quite a few clients and future clients were in and out of the showroom. He is very into and a part of the community. It seemed like it was just an hour and he was complete. The workmanship is flawless. I was finalizing my bill and time was taken to fully explain the warranty, workmanship, what to do and not do. They left no stone un-turned. All the employees are just as fantastic as John S. As we inspected the completion of the work... John stated he noticed the car had some sap on the roof. He offered me a business card of a local detail shoppe to assist me with detailing. What a great guy!! I will be bringing my next vehicle to him and referring everyone I know to him. On August First we had my wifes new Honda HRV tinted, an appointment was made and when we arrived we were greated and they took the car in right away. They estimated our wait time and texted us an hour early and we were very pleased with the look of the vehicle and the price. On August 8th, I took my vehicle in for the clear windshield ceramic film and to have my sun roof done. They were once again professional, and attentive. I believe it was Aaron who did the work both times for us and James was at the counter. Both men were pleasant and information. I recommend them as they stood by their Yelp price and were easy to work with. I do not think anyone will regret doing business with them. read more

I am about to have my 3rd car in a row tinted by this company. The owner is super involved and really is concerned about quality. I haven't had any issues with the tint application on my cars and the IR Ceramic tint is the best I've had on a vehicle. Even here in Texas it keeps a lot of the heat out on a hot day. I scratched it once because of a piece of dirt in the rag and a couple of passes with a heat gun made the scratch disappear. Highly recommended. read more

NOTE: Look at how many 5 star reviews are here for Scott Solar Auto Spa. As of today, 135! Thats 135, people. We are very satsfied, happy and grateful clients. Why? Quality. Consistency. Customer service. Value. Professional. Passionate. We love our cars and they do, too. These reviews speak volumes. Just listen. Scotts is the only place I take my cars for tint, a clear ceramic windshield film and a tinted visor strip. John had done this car before, but recently I was gifted a windshield crack by a truck driver with no tarp on top and I had to replace this windshield. I called Scott Solar Auto Spa and told Nadya what happened and set up an appointment to have the clear ceramic film put on my windshield along with the black visor film. The work was superb. My car is cooler. I am as happy as I was the first time John did my car. The staff is very courteous, professional and pleasant. These folks love using their skills on all kinds of cars and today was definitely a Tesla day. Wow. I dont own one, but I sure enjoyed talking with Tesla owners. When their cars were finished and brought out to them, I Knew the thrill the owners were going to experience seeing their cars look so incredible And I saw the look of tremendous satisfaction on the team members face Handing the keys back to them. I saw the ratings for this company and the great reviews so I requested a quote. John got back with me quick and his pricing was unbeatable! He even went above and beyond what other tint places quoted me which is why I had to get my tint done here. His staff is awesome as well. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for tint for their vehicles or even home window needs. I was able to witness their work first hand with other customers and they are very customer oriented. They have earned my business from the start and you will be very pleased with these guys. A+++++ It's been about 6 months or so since I got my tint done at John's and I love how my car look. With this Texas heat having quality tint is rewarding! Because John and his crew are so kind and the deal he gives is sooooooo unbeatable I returned to have my suv tint done. I was even more pleased because no matter what I always leave in style and the service is pleasant. I've recommend this company to family, friends, and coworkers. I've recently moved so I had to add about 20 extra minutes to my commute but it is so worth the drive. The wait isn't bad at all and the quality of their work is wonderful. They tint a wide range of vehicles which makes their skills able to tint your vehicle if you choose to let them. I am so glad I found this company because I'm a customer for life. Returned to get some more work completed. Leaving very satisfied! Set an appointment and the guys got me in and out within the hour. I would honestly drive 2 hours for their work and john's character. He's a good guy and and guys working are good dudes as well, personable and stand up. The service is clear and to the point. His prices are always a good and fair price. Never a complaint the 3 times I've used their services. Have 2 projects left in terms of vehicles. Scott Solar Control will get all of my referral business from now on. Need your windows tinted? Go there! John is awesome! He took his time to make sure I understood what I was getting and gave me his opinion on what looks good and what doesn't and the advantages of the various products he offers. He also took his time to do the job right. Price is reasonable and this guy is a perfectionist. It takes up to a week for the tint to fully cure and I just had it done today. So, I can't really comment if the job is "perfect" or not for up to another 7 days. But from my past experiences, this looks excellent! I anticipate it will cure quite perfectly. By the way, an either repeat customer or referral was sitting in the waiting room with me towards the end. He had great things to say about John also. Thanks John!! Update: It's been a week now and the tint cured PERFECTLY!! Very satisfied customer. :-) read more

Now we offer Commercial and Residential which happens to be a larger part of our business. I wanted a product I could stand by 100% and XPEL is what gave me that confidence to use it in a residential and commercial environment. I took my Model X in to get the front windshield tinted on 7/31 and paid $688 after tax. I know…read morethat the windshield on these cars is complicated to tint given the size, but the quality of the install on my car was subpar to say the least. Even worse was the customer service I received after pointing out some quality issues. I contacted the shop the next day after seeing that there were some very noticeable light gaps in the tint, as well as some overall shoddy craftsmanship in multiple areas. I had to speak with the shop over the course of 4 different phone calls as the owner, for some reason, was using one of their employees to speak to me as the middleman. After all of this back and forth, they refused to take accountability or offer a reasonable solution to fix their poor work. They offered me 2 "solutions" along with countless excuses as to why the install was up to their standards. Their "solutions" were to: 1) Install a black vinyl stripping to cover the light gaps - essentially putting a bandaid on the issue. 2) Reinstall the tint but the shop wanted to force me to sign a document stating that I would accept the second attempt before even seeing it - giving the shop a free pass to potentially do an even worse job and giving me not choice but to accept the result no matter how good or bad it turned out. A few of their excuses as to why this was a quality install were: 1) The gaskets around the window were too tight and there are going to have to be light gaps. It's "impossible" to get a flush fit with this vehicle. 2) The clarity of the install was great (mind you, I never once brought up any issues regarding this) and they were worried the second job might not be as good. 3) They were worried that debris might get under the film if they tried again. I was willing to give the shop another shot at making things right and reinstalling the tint, but I wasn't willing to be strong armed into signing a document accepting the work before inspecting it again. As the shop did not seem to want to take accountability, I asked them to then remove the film and refund my money as the quality of the job did not reflect the $600+ they charged me. I was then informed that "all sales are final". Horrible job and horrendous customer service. Stay away unless you want to be gaslit into thinking that this type of subpar work is somehow acceptable.

One thing you need to have handy to get an estimate are the measurements of the windows. Good thing my house windows are the same sizes which made the whole process easier. The only thing that was not the same size was the patio door. When I talked with James, he replies very fast and very friendly as well. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. Well money spent especially for the Texas heat. I will put in pictures later.

I am writing this review based on my husband's experience as a former worker. He started working for this business on November 3 and completed all of the work he was hired to do. However, he did not receive the full wages he earned and is still owed $1,540 Mind you he has not been paid to this day. The owner initially communicated regarding payment, but then everything changed. The original payday was supposed to be November 15, but the owner later gave different dates, including Monday, November 17 and November 22, and still did not pay. When my husband tried to follow up, phone numbers were changed, messages were ignored, and he was unable to reach the owner directly. We have text message records documenting these attempts. On November 15, the owner raised his voice at my husband and told him to leave the business. After that, he told my husband to stop contacting him and said he would file a harassment complaint if he continued trying to collect the wages he was owed. My husband was only trying to receive payment for work he had already completed. What makes this situation particularly frustrating is that the business is still open, and the owner is actively responding to other people's public reviews while continuing to ignore my husband's attempts to collect his wages. Other public feedback also mentions repeated excuses, time-management issues, and poor communication -- unfortunately, our experience was consistent with that pattern. This behavior is not acceptable. Taking advantage of people and their time, and refusing to pay for work already completed, is unfair and unprofessional. We are still seeking the wages owed and hope the situation can be resolved. We share this documented experience so others can be aware before choosing to work with or hire this business. read more

Upon first contact, I was pleased to have a conversation with a genuine human being - a positive start that certainly set the stage for a promising experience. However, the ensuing interactions, or lack thereof, proved to be significantly less satisfying. Merely ten minutes post our call, I attempted to follow up via email, yet, was met with silence. Even after extending them the benefit of the doubt and attempting a second outreach, my efforts to establish communication were fruitlessly expended. This level of service, or rather, disservice, raised significant concerns. Imagine if I had proceeded with their services, only to discover a flaw like a bubble or a peel in the tint later on. The prospect of navigating the same communication barriers, while seeking resolution for such an issue, was quite frankly, a daunting one. I urge colleagues, neighbors, and the local community to take this into consideration. Was looking for a Huper Optic installer and found three in the D/FW area. Requested a quote via email from all three and Scott responded within a matter of minutes. The others did not respond for a day or so. Scott quoted me exactly what I asked for which I very much appreciated since I had already researched and knew what I wanted. Scott actually opened up at 7 a.m. to work around a convenient time for me. I trusted Scott to tint my brand new 2017 Audi A4 with ceramic 30 on the sides and rear plus 85 on the windshield and I couldn't have made a better choice. I expressed to Scott that I was a very meticulous person so he allowed me to watch the whole install in the bay while he performed the install. He was very intricate in the entire process, from protecting my interior to installing the tint. The original quote I received was outstanding and once I went to check out Scott gave me an additional military discount. Veteran friendly. First of all, this was the absolute best customer service experience I have ever had. He had a bunch of vehicles he was tinting in Collin County, I contacted him at the last minute and he added my Jeep to the list even though it was going to be late me being the last on a Sunday, he could have passed on me. I was so impressed with the work he did I had him come to my office and tint my office windows and another Jeep friend. I was normally burning up in my office by 2:30 because of the heat from the sun, the day he tinted my windows by 3:'ish I was still wearing my sweater.
