I agreed not knowing anything but after researching, the power vent and PVC costs significantly under $1K, and a preexisting vent hole was there so no house drilling was required. No electrical required either since fan plugs into outlet. So I paid, at best, $4K for half an hour of PVC cutting/gluing and a few hundred in materials. Asked if there was a discount due to no drilling/electrical and they took $200 off. Can't say I'll be return for business despite good past experiences.
