A tasty lunch with Janis on the Juke and a hot cocoa for that midday chill! I still love this local hot spot when looking for a quick bite at a local diner. The waitresses are nice and quick. The bill is always cheap. What more can ya ask for?

The prices are great. The only things better than the prices are the food and the service. OUTSTANDING! We went there twice during our stay. Can't wait to go again

Excellent food. Friendly staff. The atmosphere of the establishment echoed the inviting warmth of yester year. You are greeted with a authenticate jukebox capturing the essence of delightful times gone by. The menu has prices that are affordable. You will not be disappointed. The only caveat would be the limited seatings.

Best ole diner with salt of the earth server/cooks. This place is always busy when we go. Doesn't look like much but never mind what it looks like. The food is great and cheap. Great burgers, BLT's and breakfasts. This place probably makes the best waffle I ever had and I've tried a lot. Nothing ever comes close. Theres no over priced fancy weird flavors or fruit or whip cream...you dont need it. These things are a big as a dinner plate, about 1.5 in. Thick. I've never seen such a thick waffle. It has a perfect crispy crust with a the perfect fluffy inside. This thing holds the syrup in the deep squares and doesn't get all soggy. I hate soft flimsy waffles. The lady there said they use a batter with malt. Its cash only and they still use the old type of cash register. Try it...you'll notv be out much if you don't like. I know...why 5 stars? Because its great for what it is. We frequent it almost weekly.

It's a little greasy spoon spot with decent food. Not spectacular but not bad either. Service is good.

Ambiance was over stimulating for us. They played LOUD Ozzy Osborne at breakfast. Food was decent!

Great little diner. No frills but good cheap food with great music courtesy of the jukebox.

I'm sorry - the place is overdue for a remodel or at least some fresh paint! Overpriced for what they serve.

First off yes I know it's a chain, but you know something. A lot of people say some bad things…read moreabout The Chop House. Personally, I think it's pretentious people expecting way too much. Let's start with the weight staff, they were great, and they got a seated right away, even though we were a few minutes late for our reservation. The food was great, and I mean, that genuinely, my pork chop was very thick, but it was still cooked completely and wasn't dry. My guest had a New York strip cooked well and I will tell you that's a difficult task because her steak was not dry at all. The sides were immaculate. I will say that the marmalade that came with my pork chop was not to my liking, I think it was house made, and it was lacking compared to the marmalade. I grew up with. But that said the cinnamon apples were excellent, the sweet potato was amazing, and my guests fully loaded baked potato was perfect. The ambience is a little bit in industrial, I'll grant you that because it's kind of cookie cutter based on the fact that they have to furnish a number of these restaurants. But let's get real for a moment, the price that we paid was en par for the experience. To use a cliché, don't go to a waffle house and expect cheesecake factory experiences. The same thing can be said for The Chop House. If you come looking for a five star steak house experience, you're setting yourself up for failure. But then again you're not paying for a five star steakhouse experience. Be kind to the staff, they know where they work, and they work very hard to make your experience as pleasant as it possibly can be. So don't be a jerk and enjoy yourself!

The surpriser to us who are from out of town was that when had a reservation planned we still had…read moreto wait a little bit before we could walk on in. The reason of that though was that it was the day of the University of Tennessee graduation so there were tons of people in town and so so many at this restaurant. As we did sit down the food was all very good to eat for sure. This is a very nice place to eat for sure.
