While my washer was being replaced, the installers brought to my attention that the previous owner…read morehad attempted an after market modification on my dryer that was unsuccessful. They had attempted to side vent the dryer to fit into the space but they did not properly seal the vent. The installers removed the rear venting panel and one could clearly see the exhaust pipe was not connected to the dryer...and the exhaust pipe was just hanging loose. The only way to do it properly was to take the dryer apart, connect the exhaust pipe and seal it all. The installers advised they could not do this type of work and it required a tech. I was referred to Solution Appliance and very happy that I was. The tech who attended was Stan, and he was professional and clearly had the KSAs to get the job done. He requested to first come view the dryer to confirm the issue. He attended and advised he had to take the dryer apart but that it was an easy fix and he would return later that evening to complete the job. Stan did return and did a great job in connecting and sealing the exhaust to the dryer. It was a very positive appliance servicing experience and happy to recommend Solution Appliance.

Initially, they charged a $167 diagnostic fee and a $663 parts prepayment, promising a 10-day fix. Instead, they sat on my money for over a week before ordering the parts. When I called to check in, staff were incredibly rude and blamed me for the delay. Four weeks later, a technician finally installed the parts and left without testing them. I paid another $143--bringing the total to $973--but the machine failed immediately. The technician visited a week later (for the third time) and admitted he didn't know how to fix it. Management has completely ignored my requests to speak with them. They eventually promised a refund (minus the diagnostic fee) but have provided no written confirmation or money. Totem defaulted on every promise. Save your resources and avoid them entirely.
