Three months later the door awning began separating from the frame, the large sliding roller and accessories broke at the flange 6 months after installation and the light in the dometic refrigerator went out and never went on. I contacted Hemet RV and was told they're selling the company but would try to help. A mobile mechanic came by and tested the refrigerator and told us we have internal electrical problem with the unit, he never came back. All the work they did was guaranteed under the specific issues but they stopped taking calls from us. The mechanics and office staff was very cordial at first and willing to rectify my issues but as time went by and my calls were hung up, I realized that they were keeping me busy with promises to eventually let me know, "Sorry we can't help you anymore". I had to replace the new sliding roller and awning, while the other issues remain outstanding. We lost a lot of labor costs dollars to this company.

It's long but gives you a picture of what happens when you have a load of crap to dump in their laps. We bought our TT used in May. Our AC broke in June and I called up Hemet RV. They had a Furrion unit on sale and we made a deal to have them come on site to install. Then they said they had a cancellation and could send the guys out late afternoon, same day. The guys were pros, fast, friendly. done deal! Highly recommend. 2 months later, we are about to hit the road for our F/T adventure so my hubby booked an appt. at Richardson's RV on a Friday morning. We went in on time but we were treated as if we were taking their valuable time even though we had an appt. They are excessively overpriced, and they could not guarantee a basic PDI inspection to be complete in 6 days. I was not comfortable with their superior attitude, like they were doing me a favor even when they made no guarantees we could get all the work done on time. It did not feel like we would get the help we really needed (we are newbies) so I took over coordinating this and from their parking lot, called up Hemet RV and the friendly guys there delivered on customer service once again. They made me an appt. for that Tuesday and turn around was 2 days. The price was almost half of Richardson's! We told them we had other stuff to look at and they said they would talk about it with us when we brought it in. We gave them a laundry list including the black tank hanging low and possibly damaged. The guys took the list, asked for an extra day to work on it and said they would do what it took to get it done on time. They were very busy with the phone constantly ringing, but they honored the time I had booked with them and spent plenty of time answering our questions. I went to pick up the rig and they went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND to fix up our Walter (our Jayco 30' TT) and were so personable. They even threw in a nice set of levelers we needed at no additional cost. I cannot say enough about this place. They guys know their stuff, we went through and checked everything with them and they did excellent work. And when they did not have a part we needed, they did a free upgrade to a better set up speakers and did not charge us any more. You cannot get better service than this team. They knew we had time constraints, which was our fault, not theirs, and they still bent over backward to help us.

Just random things, but it is really fun walking around. Six weeks later, Ted left me a voicemail saying my carpet cleaner was ready - he mentioned that he was going on vacation but I could pick it up any time. I had sent him an email the week before to check on the status of our repair, so I just replied to that email letting him know we'd come pick it up after his vacation. A week later, my husband went to go pick up our carpet cleaner and I texted Ted to let him know that he'd be coming and to confirm his address. Ted replied letting me know what hours he'd be open that day so my husband headed over. Once my husband got there, he called me confused because Ted said that it wasn't ready and the "order wasn't even in" ... Then he proceeded to gaslight my husband saying he never left a voicemail and doesn't leave voicemails for his clients. It was such a strange thing to lie about when he couldn't have just said that he made a mistake and left a voicemail for the wrong person. I even said that he mentioned his vacation and he still doubled down on saying it wasn't him. Finally, two weeks later he let us know the carpet cleaner was ready and we could pick it up. It was such a strange interaction and the lack of honesty was disappointing. Not to mention that his shop was out of our way, so having to visit twice was inconvenient.

We approached Stauffers with a donated amount of money to get the repair done. To my horror, the reason the dryer was burning so hot and melting things was because the previous owners had used a gas dryer for propane hook up without the proper conversion kit. Why this wasn't caught during the home inspection I don't know. Anyway, it was therefore not covered under the homeowner appliance warranty. Luckily AJ's had several refurbished dryers that I could buy for $250 so I was able to get a much nicer near commercial size dryer instead and it was installed for free.
