I dropped off my carpet cleaner after it stopped working. Ted said that Hoover would most likely replace it with a new one and I let him know that we weren't in a huge rush figuring it would take a few weeks to go through the whole warranty process. Six weeks later, Ted left me a voicemail saying my carpet cleaner was ready - he mentioned that he was going on vacation but I could pick it up any time. I had sent him an email the week before to check on the status of our repair, so I just replied to that email letting him know we'd come pick it up after his vacation. A week later, my husband went to go pick up our carpet cleaner and I texted Ted to let him know that he'd be coming and to confirm his address. Ted replied letting me know what hours he'd be open that day so my husband headed over. Once my husband got there, he called me confused because Ted said that it wasn't ready and the "order wasn't even in" ... Then he proceeded to gaslight my husband saying he never left a voicemail and doesn't leave voicemails for his clients. It was such a strange thing to lie about when he couldn't have just said that he made a mistake and left a voicemail for the wrong person. I even said that he mentioned his vacation and he still doubled down on saying it wasn't him. Finally, two weeks later he let us know the carpet cleaner was ready and we could pick it up. It was such a strange interaction and the lack of honesty was disappointing. Not to mention that his shop was out of our way, so having to visit twice was inconvenient. read more

I have an old (50+ years) Oreck canister vac that has been having some plastic parts deteriorating. I brought my 20 + year old Oreck for service. A very nice man, Ted, looked at it and told me it was beyond fixing. I'm a Vietnam vet, having 46 radiation treatments, and this seemed to be more bad news. I couldn't afford a new vacuum, I have 4 dogs, and need one. Ted told me "not to worry", kept my junk machine, said he'd call. I got my call, came down and was looking at a practically new machine! I just left your store in tears. Your employee, Ted, sold me a refurbished vacuum on April 3, 2019. I gave him my old vacuum which needed a new plug. He said it would cost as much to change it as a refurbished Oreck. Since I am a previous Oreck customer, I thought that would be great. The vacuum is not mine. I purchased it for my synagogue. A never used it, so when I did pull it out a few months later, I found that the outer bag was torn approximately 4+ inches. I went in today with the vacuum hoping to exchange it. Ted told me I had a very bad attitude. I explained that I had just come from my doctor and was in severe pain. He then told me about my bad attitude. I am sorry to say that things got worse but he was definitely rude. He changed the bag but I was very offended and my pain level made me cry. He seemed to be completely unaware. My first visit to Oreck, I bought a vacuum for hard floors that still works great. The owner, Ted, indicated he also repairs more than just vacuum cleaners, basically any type of small to medium electric or gas motors. I recently brought in my $400 car polisher that had a bad power cord and was making a horrific noise. Being an auto detailer, it's difficult to find any professional who knows how repair these type of machines. However, Ted was able to fix both issues at a great price and have my buffer back to me in two days. It purrs like a kitten now. I saved so much time and money going through Ted. Only after calling Oreck headquarters from your parking lot and having them call your store did the rude guy only replace my vacuum bag. No service was even done. And yes, he did refuse service because he said they don't make any money on annual services. Nice try. The reason why I waited so long to review is because I moved back to Washington and once again had amazing customer service here and that reminded me of how awful the Temecula Oreck store was. I purchased my Oreck vacuum in 2004 and I still have it to this day. I originally purchased it at the Oreck store in Ontario California. Ted, the manager at that time helped me with my purchase. I told him what my needs were for my home and that I needed something light weight and efficient. Whenever I have needed a product or a part Ted was there to assist me with my needs. He is very efficient and makes sure that you understand your product. You can ask him questions about it and he can explain it to you. One time I was confused about something and he drew a picture to help me understand. I am glad I purchased my Orick from Ted, because it came with a warranty as other places did not. I had the eight year warranty package with tuneups and every year I brought it to him. I recommend this Oreck store to anyone who is wanting to keep their house clean. Probably the best customer service I've ever had. Ted was amazing. I have an Oreck Magnesium that I love. I had a circuit board replaced because it was turning off almost a year ago. They warranty their parts for a year. It started shutting off again recently, so I brought it back in. They fixed it up and I took it home. It started shutting off again. I called back and the owner Ted called me and apologized for the inconvenience and even offered to come my home... which he did. He replaced the motor and roller to resolve the issue. read more

I drove all the way from San Diego to this store with my 2004 Oreck XL air purifier and the technician was very knowledgeable and not only explained what the issue was, but offered to clean and straighten the wires which was causing the clicking. I have been using it for a week now and have not heard any clicking so the problem was solved! The absolute BEST customer service I have ever received and I don't even live here! I'm located in Las Vegas but my uncle purchased an Oreck from their previous location before he passed away. I took my Oreck into a local store to have it serviced and they wanted to charge a ridiculous amount because I did not have the warranty info. I reached out to Ted and without prompting he googled the number to the place here in Vegas (who is NOT an Oreck company after all) called the store and requested they give me a better rate. He called them out on the BS they were trying to sell me and made them issue me a new warranty! I am beyond grateful for his kindness. He did not have to do this. Incredible...Ted from Oreck Temecula just drove off from my home calling me an a**hole. My daughter heard it from her window...Upset that I did not return his 3 calls from Friday-Sunday. I was out of town with family, honestly not even thinking about vacuums. Problem started a year ago when they sold us a vacuum (Magnesium) that did not meet our expectations or performance of our original Oreck XL. Should of never listened to their sales gimmicks as I have read way too many poor reviews of this model. Enough said...this guy came to my house to bitch! Over a vacuum! Make your life simple buy your next vacuum at Costco. Folks he came to my house...Where is Dave Oreck when you need him! In this case the customer is never right and these folks are wacky! Yeah this is, no doubt, the worst service I've ever had. Some guy named Ted called my mom unsolicited after she walked out of the store, demanding he speak with her. Sometimes my mom takes things out of context so I didn't really believe how rude the guy was until I overheard the conversation. It was unbelievable. She asked for his name, he refused. She asked for the owner's name, he also refused. Like... why? We don't really know, it was just strange. And rude. Then he tried to make up random prices on the spot as to how expensive it would be to unclog our vacuum, twice and three times as much as it was the last time to unclog it. Of course my mom got frustrated and left, meanwhile this dude continued to basically yell through the phone and act like a lunatic! I honestly cannot see how someone like that can work anywhere. I have an Oreck vacuum and air purifier as does my Mom. I noticed my vacuum didnt seem to be working as well as it once did. I was thrilled to find out that there was an Oreck store in Temecula and apparently had been there for almost 20 years! brought it into the store and spoke with Ted. I have to say that he is such an asset to the Oreck company. Not only was he kind and patient explaining everything to me, but he took care of my vacuum. all the while explaining how I could avoid it happening in the future. I happened to mention, joking that I have been having some issues lately with my favorite lamp and now my daughters jeep power wheels that arent working. He said bring them in saying that there isn't much he cant fix. So I did. Guess what he fixed those too! I'm thrilled and so is my daughter! FYI- if you take a vacuum to Oreck in Temecula and do not pick it up in 30 days, they "release it" and no longer keep it. Unfortunately, I was never told of this policy and I have used them several times. He said that it was on the bottom of the receipt, but I didn't receive a receipt because I was told to pay when I pick it up. I never received a phone call and forgot about because it's a backup vacuum and we don't have much carpet anymore. Besides that, when would the 30 days start because they did not give me a pick up date. They said they would call when it was done. I dropped it off mid January and went in a couple weeks ago (so roughly 6 months) and the person working the counter said he couldn't find it. He took my name and number and said he would have the owner call me. Unfortunately, no one called me again. I went it again today and the person working said they "released" it in April, meaning they no longer have it. His offer to help make things right was to sell me a refurbished vacuum, hmmmm.... he gave me an example of taking your clothes to the dry cleaners. If you don't pick them up, they get rid of them. Needless to say it was an extremely frustrating experience, and now I have no vacuum There was a note on the door that said "under new ownership," hopefully that is not the new owner because looks like he isn't getting off to a very good customer service start read more

I've had my Oreck vacuum over 5+ years and I still love it! As with other Oreck owners I've tried the cheaper brand bags..nothing wrong with them just that Oreck's are so much better especially the hypoallergenic line. The warranty is great which includes free yearly tuneup's. Now what really has sold me on Oreck is the service. Repairs/maintenance are handled quickly and efficiently at a more than fair price. I'm really tough on my vacuum so truthfully the only times I have to go in for repairs is if I've done something stupid. Thankfully they're open 7 days a week! read more

I have an oreck steamer, it was great for 1.5 years, then it stopped steaming. I took it in to get service and the guy was more interested in selling me a new one. I wanted to see if they could fix this one and he said no problem, leave it with us and I'll have the service guy look at it. After 4 or 5 days, service guy calls and says that the steamer is a "throw away product" and they don't service them. Ever. I call the oreck corporate and they said that isn't the case, they should and do service them. We'll not in temecula. I'll buy another brand at this point. Just wanted to give kudos to the workers at the Oreck store. A while ago I had a mix up with my Oreck vacuum. I got a replacement that just wasn't the same. A week ago (many months after the mixup), I took it in for a 'tune-up' and got talking to Ted about my vacuums history. He assured me he'd take care of it. I left expecting to hear from them in a few days because of their work load. I was almost home when he called and said it was all fixed! New fan, new motor! And no charge!
