    New York Steak

Amazing food and a beautiful atmosphere! The waterfront location offers stunning views of yachts, making the whole dining experience even more special. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive throughout our visit. We ordered the New York steak and the salmon club sandwich. Both were delicious, though the salmon club sandwich was slightly on the dry side. The New York steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were absolutely incredible--easily one of the best parts of the meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for great food, excellent service, and gorgeous waterfront views!

Celebrating the last night on vacay in SF enjoying dinner at Scott's Seafood in Jack London Square for the first time. The square was quiet with both a hotel and another restaurant closed for business within feet of Scott's except for a party boat about to launch from the pier nearby. Jack London Square Valet parking $10 up to 2 hours; restaurant validates parking ticket 1/2 off, large restaurant has great views of the bay, Open Table reservations, kind hostess greeted us at entrance, restaurant has older decor with a slim crowd for a Friday evening, live pianist serenaded the restaurant, several great staff members accommodated us during our visit, reasonably priccfor pear salad 4/4, blackened catfish, mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans 4/4, pasta jambalaya 2/4 needed more seasoning.

Haven't been to Scott's in years. My parents son used to be the general manager and my high-school reunion was held there a couple times. Made reservations for my sis and brother inlaw as we were coming together for their brother's, my parnters 6 Mos passing and we wanted to be near the water. I made reservations early as it was a holiday weekend and didnt know if it was going to be crowded. Got a lovely table by the water. Started with some good old chowder. The offer the red and the white. I went for the white. Then I decided on the seafood pasta. Waitress was helpful and attentive. The food was good as I remember, which for a restaurant that been around for a this long is a rarity. Will be back for their brunch.

Waterfront view with spectacular Customer Sevice to match! A classic favorite, and always a special lunch or dinner spot! A fun little adventure to do before or after his ride, the water taxi located right outside the entrance of Scott's!

In all my decades of living near Jack London Square, I finally made it to Scott's Seafood when for a weekday dinner. We were promptly seated by the window, with a great view of the waters. I immediately admired the ambiance of Scott's Seafood. Thi sis a really gorgeous restaurant with beautiful live piano music and impeccable service. We enjoyed: Grilled salmon cakes Clam chowder Salmon Swordfish Key lime pie Southern pecan pie Would definitely want to come back here!

    - Worst Mother's Day Experience Ever Mother's Day at Scott's was by far the worst dining experience we have ever had. We have been loyal customers for years and have spent $300, $400, and even close to $500 during previous visits. After this experience, we will never return. For the first time ever, they switched to a buffet and failed to inform us beforehand. We only found out after arriving. The entire experience was chaotic. Kids were playing around the food, the food itself was cold, and overall it was unappetizing. We literally did not eat anything. Not one bite. The manager apologized and offered us free buffet tickets to come back and eat the same buffet we had just refused to eat. Despite not eating, we were still charged $320. I called the next day and was told they would look into it. A week later, I had to call back myself and was promised a refund because they acknowledged we had not eaten any of the food. Since Mother's Day, I have repeatedly called trying to resolve this issue. Today is June 19th, and I still have not received a refund. The main manager, Ramiro, refuses to take responsibility. Every time I call, employees claim he is "in a meeting." Yesterday, Gerald told me he could not disclose when Ramiro would be available, yet the host informed me he would be back the next day. When I called again today, I was actually told, "Ramiro is not ready to talk to you yet." Imagine a manager who is "not ready" to speak with a customer about a $320 charge. One employee even told me, "Just call your bank." I have never seen management avoid customers like this. If this is how loyal customers are treated after spending hundreds of dollars over the years, I can only imagine how others are treated. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers and know how to handle problems professionally.

Okay but how did I forget about this place?? Went to Scott's for a Friday work lunch that turned into a mini reunion with friends I hadn't seen in a while. It was decently busy, a mix of the retiree marina crowd and work lunch groups, but still relaxed enough for us to really sit and catch up without feeling rushed. The vibe is casual upscale. Grown, but not stuffy. The weather absolutely showed off. Blue sky, sun out, overlooking the water...it felt like we timed it perfectly. Not guna lie, I had been stalking the menu all morning before our lunch trying to decide what I wanted. We started with the seafood trio appetizer; calamari, salmon cakes, and lightly breaded shrimp. Perfect size for sharing, crispy without being heavy. And they bring complimentary bread and butter, which I will always say yes to. It had been a week, so obviously I ordered an espresso martini, tequila (of course). I reluctantly said yes to Kahlúa and it leaned a little more "milky" than I prefer, good, just adjusting next time. I ordered the stuffed crab salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables and it was bomb. Bomb bomb bomb. Great portion size and I left my plate CLEAN. Okayyy. They had cute little Valentine's arrangements on the tables which was a sweet touch without doing too much. Service was great and attentive, we didn't feel rushed, and the whole lunch just reminded me this place deserves more attention in my life. Definitely coming back.

Didn't have a reservation on the busiest day of the year but we got lucky enough to grab a spot at the bar! The clam chowder was a great start ! Then I hadn't pre-fixe menu and it was amazing!!! Everything was delich!! I usually dont try new stuff but I didn't feel like thinking today so the Valentine Pre-Fixe for $92 was perfect! The salad had feta, strawberries and walnuts!!! Then I had the chimichurri steak and lobster ! The steak was cooked perfectly and it was tender and tasteful!! The sauce was the best !! We also ordered the ravioli bc I was craving pasta and it was also really tasty and good portion to share! My dessert, a tart, was in the shape of a heart and the frosting was pure sweetness! They had the pianist playing and the vibe was full of heartfelt love throughout- saw many couples and families taking their elder mothers out and it was heartwarming! I liked my cocktails for the most part but kinda disappointed that all their "flavors" are commercial syrups not fresh.

I recently had a chance to go to brunch at Scott's seafood in Oakland Jack London Square to celebrate my nephew. I must say I was quite pleased with offerings. We had a nice seat with the view of the actuary in the rear of the main dining room. We were a pretty large group so we had a couple of servers who really took great care of our group. We have been waiting to eat, so my wife had a salad with shrimp and what's it called the art, the seafood salad and I have shrimp and grits which were excellent. We also had a Cabernet, which we thought was quite delicious as well. I'd recommend Scott's seafood whether you're a small group or a large group they were very accommodating. The view was nice. The service is nice. The price is great for the quality of the food and seafood that you get. I can't wait to go back again.

That's all the lettuce I have on my plate

I ordered a very expensive seafood salad to turn around and have cauliflower. Broccoli not very much salad on my plate. With really makes me upset after all the money I spent last night almost $500 and I walk away trying to be professional and watch my mouth, but this is the worst that I ever had from this restaurant in the 30 years. I've been coming here. Unsatisfactory 100%.

I honestly didn't have high expectations for Scott's because of the overall rating on Yelp but my experience would consider a return in the future. Reservations at 7pm on a Monday, seated immediately as the restaurant was also not packed at all. About all window seats were taken besides one in which, we sat at. The waiter was attentive, but seemed very rushed at all times. The calamari appetizer was good. The crabbed stuffed salmon was actually surprisingly wonderful! It didn't have a fishy taste to it at all. The mash potato was finely mashed and chives always add a nice touch. The veggies could've used more seasoning. A little garlic would go a long way. I would recommend both of these plates to try. They also validate parking if you park in the lot right next to them so just keep that in mind otherwise you'll probably pay more at other lots across or down the street.

We had a very good dinner by windows seeing nice sunset view. All foods were delicious and fresh ingredients, cooked nicely. There is 50 years anniversary menu and we ordered one with Salmon,it was nice price, too!! I will definitely be there again as soon as possible , I liked the ambience, unlike any other places nowadays .

Scott's Seafood Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Scott's Seafood

Are all the wines still $60 minimum? We're not fussy, but is there anything at all in the $30-40 range?

No. That was the only complaint from my visit (review above). Nothing less than $60 on the wine list

Is the buffet on Sunday's back ? Or is it still brunch menu only

The website menu does NOT mention "Buffet". I think menu only . Best to call them on the phone,

Do you charge for Valet parking?

There is a charge for parking in the adjacent garage. There is not an additional charge for the valet service, but most people tip the driver delivering their car.

What is served for Sunday brunch?

Just about everything is served at Scott's Sunday brunch.: every type of seafood, carving station turkey, roast beef, ham, fruit, pastries, condiments all in an elegant setting.

    Are there any vegan options?

I doubt it since they emphasize seafood and steaks. They can make a special pasta or salad without egg, dairy, meat or seafood for you but since they are expensive, it would not be worth the expense.

    Are reservations required?

No, they are not but they do come in handy on holidays and busy days/hours.

Hi are you still doing the 50% off menu please?

I received email that it was through 2/28/22 on food only and they will automatically add a 20% gratuity.

    Is there outdoor seating?

Yes & right on the water.

Is Scott's open for dine in?

    Yes

Is there a kid's price for the Sunday buffet? Any senior discount for the Sunday buffet?

Yes there is a kids price. They gave me the kids price because I walk with a walker and could go to the buffet

How much is the Sunday buffet?

I just called the restaurant on October 10 and Sunday buffet brunch is $65.00 per person.

    Happy hour is when?

Happy Hour at Jack London Square is from 4- close and Happy Hour at Walnut Creek is from 4-7.

    Tip added to buffet?

Hi Monica, The tip is not included in the buffet price. Did I answer your question?…

Honestly, every drink we ordered was really good, and there weren't any complaints from the group. I think we ordered Actual Proof, Sun Goddess, High Heel Sneaker, and Moonglow (mine). My cocktail was definitely my favorite because I love sweeter drinks where you can barely taste the alcohol, and it was exactly that. The rest of my friends' drinks leaned less sweet with a stronger alcohol presence. While I could appreciate the flavors of those cocktails, they just weren't my personal preference since I tend to like sweeter, fruitier drinks. I'd definitely come back. Very nice vibe and ambience. I'd probably order the same cocktail again since I enjoyed it, or try one of the other drinks I had my eye on. Between my friends and me, we managed to try almost everything that initially caught my interest, and overall it was a great experience.
