I just wanted update my review, I added 1 stars as I spoke with Shayna Epstein their Business Office Coordinator who was fantastic. She helped inform me of the various bills I could expect and helped me move the charges to cash pay and setup a payment plan. I don't know if my expectations are reasonable but an initial bill of $14k for about an hour of service(there was also lab work) seems outrageous to me but maybe this is just the norm? Also, the bill came down considerably when they negotiated with the insurance company and then moving to cash pay(thanks to Shayna) brought it down more. I guess I expected when I provided my insurance information weeks ahead of time they would have let me know what to expect, that is I would be responsible for 100% of the charges and to share the bill I could expect... read more

Outrageous Pricing, 3 to 4 times the National Average. Dont go, unless you negotiate a fee with them. My wife had 30 minute outpatient procedure, average National Cost for this is around $3k...they billed United Healthcare almost 10k, and us $1,900. Their fees are literally 3-4 times the average. Shop around or negotiate before going, places like this are driving our Healthcare prices higher due to ridiculous rates that they think they can continue to get away with. read more

I have used this center twice now for both an endoscopy and colonoscopy 18 months apart. My experience at the facility itself was OK- they did mess up the time of my procedure though, citing that the physician needed to move appointments around. Ok? Would have been nice to know if I was booked for 45 min later so I wasn't in the waiting room for 2 hours. My true complaint comes with the Billing department and unethical (although unfortunately more common) billing practices. You sign about 10000 documents for financial liability before the procedure, but when you ask for an itemized statement for the procedure with CPT codes when your bill arrives, the (offshore) billing team refuses to provide it citing office policy? You also cannot contact the center directly about any billing questions- they kick those back to the offshore team that stick to a script and can do nothing other than collect payment. This center is all about profit and actually care very little about patient experience. To be fair, I did not have any opposition from any of the other entities associated with my procedure (doctor's office, anesthesia) but the center itself won't provide an itemized statement on how they arrived at my outstanding charges? Sketchy. I would not suggest this business due to their lack of transparency and inaccessibility related to billing inquiries. read more

They tell you to arrive an hour before your appointment to check in, to fill out 4 pieces of paper and wait for the remaining 58 minutes. Take you back to your room well after your appointment time, just to sit with an empty iv in your arm for an hour. Ridiculous waste of time. read more

The center itself is mediocre however their anesthesia service provider, Grand Canyon Anesthesia, is a total fraud and these are the people charged with your life while you're sedated. I received a bill 1.5 YEARS after my service from Help Financial, on Grand Canyon's behalf. I promptly paid but was then told by their "offshore" call center people in India (guessing. They wouldn't tell me where they were from) that I was sent to collections. There is no local phone number for Grand Canyon and Scottsdale Endoscopy Center does not answer their phone. How is it legal that the people entrusted with your life while you're sedated don't have a local phone number? And that all you can do when there's an issue is talk to some foreigner who barely speaks English. I do not trust this company to hire anesthesiologists. Totally unacceptable. I have already submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and will be contacting the Attorney General. read more

This is just for the obnoxious woman at the front desk... way too harsh to be the first person you have to talk to. I don't understand why someone who is so obviously an angry, non-people person would be allowed to interact with patients. "You're early, go sit down." There are few times in life when a routine doctors appointment or procedure like a colonoscopy are so expertly performed and considered painless, from the scheduling, the check in process, to the easiest prepping for the procedure, to making me feel safe & worry free but ... Dr Daniel Meline and his staff have far exceeded my expectations. I can say my first colonoscopy was a breeze! Dr Meline walked me through the prep procedures and his nurse calmed me down during the procedure. I have heard horror stories of staff and providers being rude and or unprofessional but that's not the case with Dr Meline. Thank you for being the BEST outpatient endoscopy center center in Arizona! Came to Dr Meline's office for a colonoscopy on the recommendation of my primary care provider. Had a tele-visit one week prior where personal info was verified and questions answered. Was contacted within 5 minutes of the scheduled time and call was completed within five minutes. The day of the procedure was smooth and efficient. The office staff was great. The surgical staff were all personable and professional in addition to being highly organized and efficient. Was headed home within 1.5 hours of my appointment. Could not be happier and will definitely use in the future although hopefully not for several years from now. read more

I dislike writing reviews that aren't positive, but sometimes it is just necessary. I write all my reviews in an effort to help people get truthful information based off my own experience. When it comes to doctors, I'm very experienced. Within minutes I know a bad doctor and Dr. Meline was no exception. Before he even walked in to the room, I could see an attitude. Almost like seeing his aura (which I don't see these, but kind of like his vibe). As he was walking in to his office, he gave me some kind of look. Not friendly one either. He was immediately a bit rude and started off by asking me why I was there when I had had procedures with 2 other doctors. Excuse me? What a great way to start off a first impression. I told him that one of the doctors was from a long time ago when I lived in California. The other doctor I just didn't want to see anymore - bad experiences with him. The whole visit was uncomfortable and unpleasant, at one point I was so frustrated and holding in my anger that I started to tear up. He made a quick diagnosis off some pieces of information on my paperwork, lectured me on my eating habits though he didn't even know what I actually eat. He just assumed since I have some weight to lose. The way he said things to me was condescending and a tad mean. Every time I tried to speak or ask a question, he would cut me off. Then the narcissist doctor bragged how he knows how to do this all so quickly because he's done this for some 20+ years and treated over 100,000 patients...blah, blah. So this means you don't do any kind of exam? You don't order one test? You don't have the courtesy, decency or respect for your patients to kindly listen to them or give them a tiny bit of compassion? The guy was a complete ass - plain and simple. Rude, arrogant and wasted my valuable co-pay. I don't feel I got quality treatment and now I have to take time off work again and pay again to go find another doctor who will treat me well. Listen doc - people come to you because they are in pain, have health issues. They need understanding, kind guidance, quality. Your crap attitude will hopefully have consequences. I hope karma comes and bites you in the ass real hard. P.S. The guy is very heavy into art, decorating his office. He has these somewhat abstract lamps in his lobby. Basically the nude male and female forms with these crystal like things in the places where there would be genitalia and nips. I thought I was being prude when I kind of felt the lamps were inappropriate in a doctor's waiting area so I told some friends about it. They agreed it wasn't really that cool to have - it should be in his house or something. The guy is a zero in every direction. read more
