What a great place downtown Tacoma to have a drink and a burger. My bartender's name was Chris. She was absolutely amazing. Easy to have a conversation with, and she kept on using my name throughout the whole experience which I thought was actually a little gem. I ordered the drunken bacon jam burger, which was absolutely delicious but only problem I did not like was the bottom bun was saturated in juice and absolutely fell apart, which was very hard to handle the burger and very messy. That's why I'm giving it four stars is because the burger bread did not hold up at all. The tots were absolutely on par as well as the cold beverage. I was the only place in the bar at the time of ordering and felt very at home in this nice place. I highly recommend coming out and checking this place out. Definitely meet Chris. She's absolutely phenomenal and she'll make your stay worthwhile. read more

Popped in here for lunch and to watch some football on a Sunday afternoon. It didn't get crazy busy even though there was a Seahawks game on, but it was a good crowd. The bartender was very nice and provided great service, and I loved my foot. I got the steak bites which were a bit more overcooked than I'd like for steak, but they had good flavor and came with the most delicious horseradish dipping sauce. The fries were so crispy and perfect, and I also really loved the spicy aioli the bartender recommended to me as her fave. Overall great meal and experience here! read more

bartenders extremely rude, did not go into this bar or enter their property at all, but at the end of the night after the bar was already closed, saying goodbye to my friends the bartender came all the way out the closed bar to cuss at me, call me names, act extremely rude towards me and accuse me of things I was not doing what so ever. The outdoor patio is a big plus, especially on sunny days. Inside, it's got TVs everywhere, a jukebox, and even shuffleboard, so there's always something going on. Great service! A sports bar wasn't our first pick, but we waited almost an hour without getting drinks at our first pick, and time was of the essence, so we wandered into The Office. The staff was especially considerate of our time constraints (we had a show to go to), and advised us of the most time-sensitive menu items and we enjoyed them and got to the show on time. read more

Went here for a girls meet up and ordered a few happy hours apps and drinks. The Cadillac Margarita was too sweet and just tasted like mostly fake awful mix. I had to send it back because I couldn't drink it at all. The steak bites were tasty as were the tater tots wrapped in bacon. I had a burger and it was so overly cooked that the meat was a hockey puck and grey looking. I had ordered it with fries but received tator tots instead. The service got increasingly slower as the local crowd grew thick and the music was quite loud. It was difficult to catch up with old friends in this atmosphere. It would be much better suited for just a night out of drinking. The staff were all friendly with happy smiles and the patrons all seemed to be regulars and comfortable. read more

I've been coming to office almost weekly on Wed or Thursday for past 6 months. Apparently they have new bar staff. Walked in at usual and sat down at table. I've never had to grab my drink at bar. I sat down for about 10-15 mins. Not once did either bar staff even attempt to come over to my table to even ask if I wanted a drink. I ended up walking out, "said I cant even get a drink". His response was that I had to go to bar to get a drink. Sorry but you lost a loyal customer and will share to not recommend to patron your terrible business and worse security guy read more

Do not waste your time. Waited almost two hours because "they were training kitchen staff" yet nobody else in the restaurant received any food the entire time we waited. The server never came over to apologize for the delay, hardly came to offer refills, and dropped off a plate of ranch, bbq, and honey mustard sauces. It was not until we asked what the hold up was that anything was even said about the ridiculous wait time. While the place was full, it did not appear that anybody else had ordered food considering nobody received anything in the almost two hours we waited. read more

I don't like to leave a negative review at places. Especially when I've had good times in the past. But after tonight I don't know if I'll go back. I'm not going to not recommend this space as it could've been an off night, but my bridge is burned. Came for a late dinner with a group of friends and we were looking forward to some good food as I've never been disappointed with the food quality, and still not as the food was still very good when it came and is the reason this is not a 1 star review. But that's where the issue is. Unbeknownst to us, along with training a new server there was also someone training in the kitchen. This would have been fine if it were told to us that we might expect a little longer for food, but we were never afforded a heads up. After my group got there it picked up significantly, and I understand giving some slack for that and would have had no issue, but we were never given an apology for it or explanation. Two of our party cancelled their food after we had been waiting an hour, and the rest of us were about to do the same when the food came. There was no effort made to make up for the service we got, and the server got caught up with an even bigger birthday party of people they knew. A couple of the people I was with got some kind of discount, but my bill did not and I was overlooked when we had first gotten there too for the initial drink order. I didn't make a fuss because by this point I just wanted to leave so I did. I hope this doesn't happen to others and improves the service moving forward. read more

Such a great spot for Sunday games. We came in for Happy Hour on a Sunday and sat ourselves at a high top where we were quickly greeted by the bartender who happily changed the TV's for us. We tried the appetizer sampler, the tot nachos, wings and a pitcher of cider. ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING. I personally love tator tots the most and so my favorites were the nachos and bacon wrapped tator tots. The nachos are super cheesy and delicious, kind of like eating a baked potato. The mac and cheese balls are pretty big. The breading on the mozerrella sticks is heavy but they are really good and I liked the extra crunch. I'd probably skip the wings, they're a tad small and bland but okay. The cider though stole the show, beautiful color, kind of tasted like the Mexican drink jamaica, and slowly creeped up on me. We had a really great time and will gladly be back again for appetizers and drinks, this HH menu is awesome! read more

My coworkers took me out for a free lunch (to entice me to work from the Tacoma office instead of the Seattle office..mmmhmm) saying it's a good place for lunch, I gladly obliged the "bribery" and so we went. It's a sports bar type atmosphere, wasn't busy at all when we came by around noon or so, plenty of seating and bartender gent came over quickly with menus and we went from there. Pretty big menu from plenty of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, entree type dishes, all kinds of stuff. I decided to get the "Turkey Bacon Ranch Club". It was pretty good, turkey breast with cheese, bacon, tomatoes and of course ranch dressing in between toasty ciabatta buns. Comes with fries but sub tater tots at no extra charge...hell yea! I think there is an extra charge if you want like onion rings or sweet potato fries. My other coworkers ordered burgers and they liked it very much and no issues for anyone. Service was fine, it wasn't busy, so we had all the TLC we needed. Overall, it was a good spot, they have a Happy Hour and some other night time stuff, so I don't know about all that. Went in with family&friends for a cool night out which quickly resulted in a huge disappointment. Went to the bar to order drinks for all of us and literally there waiting for 10 minutes. Their were 3 women behind the bar atleast 2 were bartenders. Not a single person took my order, greeted me, or even gave me eye contact. Their was no one else waiting to order so they werent busy. Another lady walks up and IMMEDIATELY got served. I said excuse me not to be rude ive been waiting here atleast 10 minutes and no one has helped me. This caucasian red head bartender with glasses woman was so rude snappy response bad attitude & literally did not care . I felt so disrespected and doubt i'll go back. Also if you like to hear r&b music or "rap" dont go there. There music player has all african american music banned making it unavailable to select those choices. We finally made it here for our first time and happy hour, so added bonus! The ambiance is dark and super chill. Our bartender/server was friendly and prompt. I got the happy hour quesadilla with goat cheese, cheddar cheese, onions, and mushrooms. My partner had the tater tots. My quesadilla was awesome! Now I am thinking about all of the different ways I can utilize warm goat cheese! The tater tots were good, but I'm not a potato fan. Partner thought they were super tasty. It was an enormous portion. We will definitely come back for happy hour and check out their burgers and sandwiches during the off times. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Great place! read more

The Office - what a great name for a bar. It can be so many things - an after-work bar (hence the name), a sports bar (hence the many TV's and spread out seating), and a late night hotspot (hence the location on Pac Ave in Tacoma, similar to Fremont or Ballard Ave in Seattle). It is all those things. First, let me address that I completely disagree with Jay H about the service. I've been here many times and always served quickly and pleasantly. In fact this last weekend, being home for Thanksgiving, I stopped in with some friends and we sat at the bar. Everyone around us was lovely - chatting it up, we had a few drinks sent our way (which always makes for a good night, hehe WINK WINK). But what REALLY made it great were the two bartenders, Jenn and Chris. They were extremely fast, helpful but not pushy, and just fun people. Pic included of the duo (with their permission), Chris rockin' a Movember mustache to beat the band. The Office is really clean. The ladies' bathroom is a single room with a lock so ya get your space and time. ;) Basically I've stayed until close and it's kept up well. Lastly the food - also included a pic of the *Happy Hour Menu which is AT ALL TIMES, OPEN TO CLOSE, if you sit at the bar!*. The HH includes a range of delicious items either $2, $3, or $5. Man, it is refreshing to see some freaking sliders with some freaking fries, man. In Seattle they like to give you a little baby slider a la carte and call it good. (I'm lookin' at you, Barrio.) A fun crowd, comfortable bar, good for watching sports or just having a meal. And it doesn't hurt that there's another Office bar in Pullman, at WSU. Yet another reason I like this place! read more

The service sometimes can be hit or miss, if we get a server we've seen before it's usually better. If we get a new server not so great. I randomly found this place while killing time wandering around downtown Tacoma. It was happy hour, so I stopped by to check it out. Nice clean and chill atmosphere, the waitress Hilary was very friendly. I had the bacon bleu steak with a Caesar salad and garlic bread, which I must say was very yummy (maybe one of best top sirloin steaks I ever had). Aside from dinner, they have a draft beer menu, many flatscreen TVs to watch the Kraken play, and a jukebox. I will definitely have to remember this place during future visits to Tacoma. read more
