This was an interesting experience. Scramble is one of those sterile breakfast places that Arizona just loves. Stainless steel tables, basic menus etc. I was greeted by a very sweet and nice server... but she didn't introduce herself... she just wiggled her fingers at me in some sort of a wave then proceeded to lean down and look at the screen of my phone and compliment the picture on it..... ok?! Thanks girl. This is weird. Don't look at my phone. I'm a server, I've been in the service industry for 22 years. There's a line between 'friendly' and ' we're friends' and our server leaned towards the latter. She was also dressed in a mid drift shirt which her belly and belly button ring were exposed and at the table I caught her twiddling her long dangling belly button ring in nervousness multiple times. That's super gross We both order our food and the real confusing thing about this place is, in the middle of the restaurant there seems to be a self serve 'bar' kind of thing filled with jelly and hot sauces etc.. My friend needed a jelly and a butter for her toast so I just walked up and grabbed it. Within seconds some girl approached me and asked me what I was doing. I apologized and told her I assumed this was self serve because it LOOKS self serve. She told me it wasn't, I told her what I needed and I sat down. Confusing layout. I had ordered a matcha drink and it was good. I finished it. The server came by and asked if I liked it because she had made it herself and I said yes! And she goes 'wait? You don't like it? What's wrong with it? And then proceeded to explained how she changes the way she makes it so the matcha doesn't sink to the bottom. I drank it.,, it was good. I don't need a play by play. This is unprofessional as an interaction. I was uncomfortable. Ok girl. I just told you it was good. We're fine. Thank you. The food was FINE. You can tell the omelettes were made in some sort of mold and not on a grill by a person by hand, so seeing as empty as the restaurant was I was confused why it took so long to get 2 basic omelettes. My order was missing my hash browns but whatever. The food was good. I could have made this at home. In all honesty the service and the professionalism of the staff needs to be reevaluated. This is my third time to this location and each time has been amazing and I left full. This trip was solo but none the less it was cozy. I got the same thing which was the cinnamon swirl pancakes side of turkey bacon and side of scrambled eggs add cheese. All cooked to perfection! Staff is always kind. Bottomless mimosa rules were not explained before we began, even those of us without mimosas were cut off. Not super busy for a Sunday brunch, which is great news for people like me that wake up a bit later haha. You order at a counter up front and then pick a table to sit at afterwards. They have a whole mini bar area in the middle that has a bunch of hot sauces and other condiments to choose from which is convenient. I ordered the Chili Verde Burrito and upgraded my hash to the Scramble Hash (very good decision). The burrito was huge, and that green sauce was incredible. It didn't have as much flavor as I'd have hoped, but nothing a little Cholula can't fix. The Maple Cinnamon Latte was pretty tasty as well, nothing fancy. My brother got the Chicago Brizza (Breakfast pizza) and it was my favorite of the morning. They use hollandaise sauce as pizza sauce and it just works perfectly, highly recommend. He also said their iced tea was good too. I will be back to try two or three more items that look interesting, but until then, I do recommend you guys try this place out. read more

First timer a friend of mine here the resort told me about scramble that they went up on seventh Avenue area said it was delicious. Checked out the menu. I ordered the Chicago, which is a breakfast pizza. It was delicious. It said it fed two people and that's pretty much what it would be. I bought half of it all my friend ordered the meat lovers omelette hashbrowns toast said it was delicious. My friend and I were looking for a dog friendly breakfast joint. Scramble fit the bill. I entered the location in my map application. Interestingly, I entered the parking lot via South Lakeshore Drive. Just as well, I might have missed if approaching from Baseline. The restaurant is in the back of the building. We had a good experience. The hostess, also the server, took care of us right away. She didn't pressure us to order and came back when we were ready. She took our beverage order before we decided on what to order. We ordered the pancakes with seasonal fruit and a side of bacon. The pancakes were light and tasted good. We ate on the patio because my friend brought her dog so I can't attest to the ambience inside. The patio was pleasant enough even though temperatures for the morning had already reached the 90's. We had already decided we will come back again as Scramble has everything we need. Full breakfast menu, fair prices and a dog friendly patio. The waitress even brought out a bowl of water for my friend's doggie. Nice touch. read more

In the Tempe area on Thursday, and needed to get some vegan breakfast. I searched Yelp for Vegan, and came up with a couple places; nothing exciting. Then I searched "vegan breakfast burrito" and boom, here's Scramble! I looked up the Menu and they actually have a few Vegan options! I called ahead to confirm. They offer a breakfast burrito, scramble, and French toast (Just Egg substitute for $2) or tofu. They do have soyrizo, but no other "vegan meats" or vegan cheese. Pricing is fair at $14.89 a plate, and the portions are good! I usually eat a whole burrito, and I only ate 1/2 with hashbrowns. The ambiance was calm and relaxed with a focus on local resources, and good service. Christina was our server and she went above and beyond our expectations! She took our order at the counter, brought the food to our table, and even offered ketchup and jelly (which we saw afterward was in the self serve area. Well, we knew this place was close by (and The Porch is 2 doors up whichjj no is actually where we had planned to go) but had never been to Scramble so decide to try it. Walked in to a multi-board McDonalds-style menu, as your order everything before you're seated. Quite a few of the usual suspects for breakfast options. Place was noisy as lots of glass, high ceilings and loud groups - to be expected I would guess. Sat down and had coffee (which was pretty good - they offered both Guatemalan and Brazilian coffee, as well as a decaf - we had the Guatemalan). I had ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict and my wife the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and sourdough toast. The food came out after 10min and it was pretty much cold. My wife's toast was cold and hard - the whipped butter wouldn't even melt on it. Even the hash browns were cold and clumpy. My EB was definitely NOT traditional - there was no sign of any Hollandaise sauce except for what I suspected was a molten cheese whiz sauce dumped over each egg! Not traditional (or even good) at all. The (? English) muffins were so thin they barely held together. Came with nothing else on the plate - not even a garnish to make it look appetizing. Sprinkling a little paprika on top of molten cheese whiz is not a garnish, it's a seasoning, but that was ok as I do like paprika on eggs. Overall, it was disappointing to say the least. If you are going to offer "traditional" breakfasts on the menu, at least make them traditionally! read more

Brought my mom for Mother's Day. It was nice enough to sit outside.... If only they cleaned the tables and chairs. Dirt, bird droppings pretty much at every table. We cleaned our table off, found 2 decent chairs to switch ours (only because someone else sat on them). Yesterday I visited Scramble, a breakfast & lunch joint (Scramble - Tempe) to try the Gluten friendly Brizza. So, let's talk brizza...we all know that not all GF pizza is created equal. This was pretty darn good. The crust had some body to it instead of just being a cracker with sauce. And there was rosemary added to give it almost a focaccia taste. I ordered the AZ sunrise, which had egg, turkey bacon, hollandaise and avocado. I was so grateful that the avocado was added cold. I was a little nervous when avocado was described on a pizza, cause we all know, hot avocado is just weird. The pizza was a snoog dry and I wanted an added sauce but ultimately both myself and my gluten eating companion devoured it. Now, the ambiance. While we were eating there were multiple dogs on the patio. Including Peaches who was on field trip from Arizona Humane Society. She was treated to a puppy bowl which contains pancakes, peanut butter, banana and is topped with whipped cream. I did not ask if this is offer in GF for our grain free canine companions. My husband and I hosted approximately 30 people for a post-wedding meal the morning after our daughter was married. Brittany and Christina helped us book; I was unsure of someone accommodating our large group, but received assuring responses during all contact with them. We were serviced by Val, Christina, Dylan and Brittany, who were attentive to our needs and highlighted the wonderful features of Scramble. I loved the physical layout of menus as you walk in, the beverage bar, and table set-up. It seemed to be a very unique place. All participants in our party were super impressed with the quality and variety of offerings (it was tough to decide what to get), and I received nothing but compliments on the choice of restaurant, the service and food choices. Biscuit tastes fresh and even after transport is still crispy- and the gravy I love peppery gravy and this one delivers. The chunks of ground turkey are nicely seasoned as well. The entrance to the restaurant is NOT visible from Guadalupe so you have to drive around the building to find the front door. We almost gave up. The service is fast casual so you'll order (menu is digital) and then they'll bring your meal to you. We ordered the breakfast sandwich (it was the special for the day) and it was very good. Excellent bread, great ham and loved the over easy egg on it. Hash browns were also very good. They were out of coffee so we had to wait for them to brew more . . .so we got fresh coffee! This was my first visit to Scramble, and we were greeted right upon entry. All of the staff we had encountered or been helped by were all so friendly. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I would say it was average. It was warm upon delivery to the table, but not hot. The hash browns were browned and crisped perfectly though. Others in my party ordered the pancakes and French French toast. Both of them really enjoyed their meals. Dining area was clean and had plenty of seating (although I can't speak to what it's like on a weekend). If I'm in the area again, I'd gladly try something else there. read more

Mixed reviews. The Ambiance was just Ok, it felt like a cafeteria more than a restaurant. There was plenty of food, but NO service. You place the food order before sitting down. You get a table number, a paper coffee cup. The food is brought to your table before you even see or speak to a waitress. When the food is brought to your table before sure to ask any questions because you're NOT gonna see anyone again. The coffee is NOT brought to the table the coffee is in a dispenser you get. The coffee refills are when you get up from the table and go to the coffee dispenser. I wanted a milk so I went to the refrigerator and pulled out a carton of milk, (cafeteria style) again NO service. My wife didn't mind the lack of service so I guess I'm giving this establishment a 3-star. The prices are about average $50 for two people. I love this place so much! We have made it a regular in our brunch rotation. The menu here is incredible. Lunch and breakfast is served all day. Both breakfast and lunch have incredible menus from salads and wraps to their "gourmet sammies! Breakfast is the same, with so many different options- they even have a vegan menu! SEATING: open, mostly tables and chairs, a few small booth/chair combos. There are a couple tvs in the corners of the room. That day it seemed to be showing something like TikTok tv. TIME: Saturday around 12:45p, and it wasnt very busy (Maybe that should've tipped us off) FOOD: ... Let's start with the "filtered water" which has its own dedicated spot in which you can serve yourself. That said, it tasted like mildew, signaling the filter hasn't been changed in who knows how long. Not a great start. Undrinkable. Vegan French toast: zero flavor, strangely bitter, crunchy texture, served with a bowl of fake maple syrup. Steak & Eggs: ordered medium, received well-done with zero pink in the middle. Flavor made it passable. We were too tired and hungry to complain, so we ate in silence what we could and were polite to the staff when we left, but we will not return and have cautioned friends from visiting lest they have a similar subpar experience. read more

I had the meat lover's omelette that came with hash brown potatoes, salsa and an English muffin. I also ordered a side of sausage ( don't judge). All were perfectly cooked and tasty. Salsa was good consistency and not runny which I liked. Eggs were cooked just right and the English muffin was just right, not over toasted which I hate.
