We liked it so much we visited twice on our weekend trip in AZ. Our first visit was on a Friday morning. We walked right up and ordered breakfast cocktails. We were greeted warmly and served promptly. All the young ladies who helped us were exceedingly friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience. We came back on Sunday and the place was slammed. Long line out the door but we waited it out and our party of 10 was able to find seating. This time we got food with our cocktails. Everything was delicious and everyone was still friendly. Service is fast, food is good. We look forward to visiting again. read more

When I heard the words breakfast pizza I knew I had to try this place out! Scramble is a fast casual breakfast and lunch restaurant where you order up front, are given a number, then choose your table. There was seating both inside and outside with a dog friendly patio. Inside there's a condiment, utensil and drink station for you to stock up before your order arrives. I tried the Chicago brizza. Out of all the portmanteaus I've heard of, this is definitely one of the tastiest ones! It was a layered pizza with hash browns, cheese, Hollandaise sauce, sausage and scrambled egg. All the components meshed well together. The only slight negative was that there were some hash brown bits that were slightly undercooked but overall I enjoyed the brizza. The menu states this dish is good to share and I agree since I was only able to finish about half of it. What makes this breakfast pizza so uniquely Chicagoan? It is not deep dish, nor dipped in au jus, and there isn't neon green relish and tomato with it. It also doesn't have any connection to da Bears, da Bulls or da Cubs. I always thought this was a breakfast-only spot for the longest, but knew they served lunch to help cater to the indecisive like me. Normally I head to another place just down the row for lunch but decided to switch it up as I was craving something sweet (syrup). For those not aware, it's a switch up from traditional servers to the urban style of ordering where you place your order first then have a seat so it can be a little distracting when you see the line come out the door prior to committing. The line does move fast and once inside it's helpful if you actually look at the menu on the left-hand side before getting up to the register and acting clueless!!! I decided to keep it simple and went with pancakes, bacon, and a side of eggs along. We also had the ham sandwich that came with chips. The key thing for us was the bottomless mimosas so we took advantage of them at $16 per person. It's was 12:30-45 when we arrived so only had about an hour to take a few back (close at 2pm). They will warn you not to chug (but I think that's for you youngster out there who don't know how to drink... and some of you OG's too.. haha). You definitely will get a nice buzz based off the pours as you get a large glass for your juice to champagne ratio that is balanced. Overall food was good but a bit "pric$$ey" but I plan to return. Much of the review on food was lost due to the amount of mimosas we had haha. Would definitely recommend coming during the weekdays and to avoid the weekends as it's crowded and with the high temperature sitting outside with the misters in the shade just doesn't seem ideal... come fall... My girlfriend and I came here for brunch on a Sunday morning a couple of times. There has been a line, but it moves quickly and they have small cups of coffee while you wait. Excellent selection of breakfast items. They give you a lot of food. I like that they have a half and half dispenser and you can get as much as you like. This is an interesting concept and I think more restaurants will move in this direction. Basically, you go order your food and then they have people deliver the food when it's ready removing the need for waiters/waitresses. Less stress for their employees and less cost. I got the gringo burrito which was bacon, egg and cheese and it came with hash browns. The food tasted good. I would say this is a higher end low budget type breakfast restaurant meaning definitely better than say McDonald's and ihop but not as good as some of your better quality breakfast places. Didn't have that nasty overly salty preservation plastic undertones to it. Add some good ole' Chahuila and we rocking. Multi grain flapjacks. Hearty & dry as expected. The customer service was amazing, the girl at the counter was sooo sweet but the food is disgusting. I got a dirty chai with oat milk and the vegan soyrizo burrito. The chai had no flavor and tasted like straight milk with ice. The burrito was also flavorless and very soggy. The hash browns were soggy and tasted like oil. My sister got the Gouda "brizza", which was a piece of uncooked flatbread with some Gouda, eggs, bacon, and the worst Hollandaise sauce to ever cross my mouth. Upon entry you check out menu, place your order at counter, pay, get a number, find your seat of choice and someone brings you your food. Honestly some of the menu items were pricey for me. The majority of the menu items are a la carte I opted for omelette which came with hash browns and a slice of toast. The hash browns and toast were good. The california omelette which included turkey bacon, baby kale, Monterey jack cheese topped with avocado slice was luke warm and bland. They offered a buy one entree get one free coupon on Facebook that advertisement introduced me to Scramble. If I return I'll have to try the lunch menu. Before the dawning of my Yelpitude, we actually visited the Scottsdale Scramble; this was some years ago, and I recall it was an underwhelming experience. With so much time having passed, we thought to give the more proximal Tempe location a shot. Good breakfast takes precedence when it comes to going out to eat, and we are always willing to explore. Scramble is an open-concept, contemporary restaurant with sleek, digital menus conveniently adorning the entrance, coffee dispensers at the ready for quick refills, and an island full of condiments and table fixings for all your breakfast needs. One of my favorite aspects of the place is its 6:00 A.M. opening time. I am an early riser, so I am enthusiastic about any place that will join me in welcoming the sunrise. Service today was superb; ordering was simple, and another staff member came by the table to ask how things were going. As far as the hospitality was concerned, we had a great time. The food, however, did leave much to be desired. | Bacon & Mushroom Omelet | "Why do you order the omelets?" My girlfriend asked me, and rightly so, "You already know which one's your favorite." True! There is one place I go for my omelets, yet I try all the other restaurants' omelets for two reasons: (1) they are a nutritious meal, and (2) regardless my loyalty, I am *always* willing to be wowed by another place's superior omelet. Unfortunately, this was not a superior omelet. It was, in fact, rather dry. The cheese was packed on thickly, the bacon -- though tasty -- had all its sizzling goodness pressed out, and the eggs were not fluffy. Though I did not pick up my knife during the meal, using one would have been productive to course through this omelet. I did not enjoy the oiliness of the hashbrowns, though the orange garnish was a nice touch. Indeed, my favorite part of the breakfast was my wheat toast with a smattering of strawberry jam. | Gringo Burrito | My girlfriend got the Gringo Burrito, which was presented wonderfully with a side of salsa. The eggs did have some moisture, but the bacon was lacking in quantity, and there was not much flavor to account for. The salsa was the redemptive ingredient here, and it was generously packed into every bite. | Verdict | In summary, service and interior were spectacular, and the food was passable, but not impressive. Although we are unlikely to come back, we were glad to have gone on this breakfast outing. I have been to other Scrambles on N. 7th Street and Camelback Avenue. I had gotten a coupon for a buy one, get one free breakfast entree for any Scramble so we decided to check this one out. For some reason, despite getting the code from the server, as required for the coupon, it wouldn't work so after a few tries I gave up so as not to hold up the line behind us and we just paid for both entries. Hubby got the costa burrito and I got the gringo one. We had eaten the same entries at previous Scramble locations. The restaurant wasn't super busy for just before noon on the Thursday after the New Year's Day. It did seem like it took a lot of time for the food to come out, but when it did, it basically came out okay. The hash browns were not as hot as other locations we have eaten at. The burritos were pretty much the same tasting between the other locations and this one. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. Just not as pleasant of an experience as the other locations so more than likely we won't be back to this one. read more

I don't fully understand their concept with clocks and "global" on the wall but my clearly-labeled vegan French toast was amazing. Have a funny story about this place that shows how great the customer service is. Came here with my partner and his family. The girl who took our order was super nice and made small talk with us. We go sit down, eat, enjoy our time. We get up and go to our car. We are pulling away and my partner sees one of the women from scramble waving at him. He waves back, but she was trying to stop us because I forgot my phone and she brought it out and was waving it to show us I had left it. I came here for brunch with my fiance and his family yesterday. We chose this place because we have one person who is vegan and this is one of the only places we all could agree with. You order at the counter where they will give you a number to put at your table and they will deliver the food to you. You're able to get your own drinks and whatever condiments you needed. I ordered the two eggs your way as I wasn't fully hungry. My fiance ordered the Meat lovers Scramble. My 4 year old had the dollar cakes from the kid's menu and my Fiance's parents both had the Hickman's burger. Now this is the part where this review gets hilarious and I'm even embarrassed to type this out but it goes with the experience that I had. The reason I gave it a 3 star instead of a 4 or 5 star is I was stuck in the bathroom the entire meal. I went to use the bathroom quickly and there was no toilet paper. I texted my Fiance telling him why I wasn't back from the bathroom yet. My Fiance and his mom both notified staff who told them they would bring me toilet paper. After waiting 30 minutes, my fiance's mom had to remind them once again and she ended up having to bring me napkins. The bathroom was clean though and even had a urinal but staff should be checking once an hour to make sure the bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper and toilet seat linings espically on a Saturday morning brunch rush. By the time I got out, everyone was already done with their meal. The manager came out to us and rectified the situation by remaking my meal to go and giving us coupons for a free breakfast entree for next time. We were very impressed with the manager taking responsibility and her apologies that we actually went back to the counter and got more food to bring back home. Their blueberry muffins were soo good. I will update this review when I can go back and enjoy my meal without spending the entire time in the bathroom waiting. read more

"Blueberry" Muffin To celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, we spoiled ourselves with a nice breakfast from Scramble (delivered via DoorDash). We ordered several things so we could try more items (so there are lots of leftovers, because they do give you pretty good/standard restaurant portions). BLUEBERRY MUFFIN: 0 out of 5 s 1st: didn't think it was a blueberry muffin at first because it doesn't look like 1. 2nd: VERY few blueberries. 3rd: tastes freezer burned! Blueberry muffins are my fav & this was the biggest let down, and I'm upset because I was really looking forward to it & wasted $4.25+tax on it. The ham was good, eggs were good, but the hollandaise sauce was not good. If we ever ordered this again, we would get regular hollandaise sauce, not the Santa Fe one. We had berries on the side, which were fine, but they put sugar on the strawberries, making them syrupy, and I just wanted fresh, normal berries, so I wish they would specify these things on their menu. CINNAMON ROLL PANCAKES: 3.5 out of 5 s It wasn't until we flipped over the pancakes that we could see the swirl... So they looked like basic pancakes at first. They were a bit chewy and soggy (we'll attribute that at least partially to the travel). They did taste pretty cinnamon roll-esque, but the picture on their menu/website made them look basically like cinnamon rolls that had been smashed into pancakes, and these definitely weren't that. They don't resemble cinnamon rolls at all in terms of texture, but they were still good. The cream cheese icing sauce is what really makes it taste like cinnamon rolls and makes the dish. No need for syrup on these because the cakes + icing = very sweet! More like a dessert. Our first time having Scramble, and we'd say it was okay, between 2.5 & 3 out of 5 s... We'll definitely be trying other breakfast restaurants before we return here, but it was fine. Don't order the "blueberry" muffin though. read more

They drink the food and drinks to you. Here is what we ordered and loved : Mimosa and Michelada Tex Mex Eggs Benedict which had shredded beef, poached egg, biscuit, hollandaise sauce. This was a tasty dish however we wish that the beef was a little bit more flavorful. It tastes really bland. Gouda Brizza- this was such an interesting dish. This one I highly recommend for you to try. It was in a pizza form with sauce being hollandaise sauce, and on top of the sauce was scrambled eggs cheese and pieces of fresh bacon. This dish blew our minds and taste buds. Atmosphere- Let's just say it was super clean and vibrant. You had white walls with green ascents around the whole restaurant.
