My search was for a brunch on Mother's Day and I saw Easy Like Sunday so that's what I opted to try. What a great find! First off, ELS met my coffee needs. They offer a wide array of espresso based drinks. I had a classic latte while my wife had a matcha latte. The matcha is real powder based and not a pre-fab mix. She enjoyed it a great deal substituting the vanilla with simple sugar. My latte had a nice punch. The base coffee was bold. For food, we both ordered different takes on hash. Mine was a braised short rib hash while my wife had the vegan hash although she added a single egg on top. Each was incredibly unique. My short rib hash had a crème fraiche drizzle that complemented the tender chunks of meat and potatoes that were perfect, slightly crisp. The vegan hash was topped with a citrus lime aoli that blended very well with the onions, mushrooms, avacado and those yummy potatoes. The quality and flavor of our food was tremendous. We've eaten at Easy Like Sunday in Charlotte a few times and really enjoyed it, so we were excited to see one open in Greensboro. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and sat quickly on a Sunday morning for brunch. We were able to miss the church crowd getting there around noon. We ordered an iced coffee and the vanilla lavender drink. The iced coffee was really good. The shrimp and grits is something that we always get here has great flavor. The shrimp are cooked great and seasoned really well. The grits are smooth and more southern style versus North Carolina Milford grits, which we are not fans of. The short rib hash was a little short on meat, lol but the flavors were absolutely delicious. The potatoes had a good amount of spice to them with some heat and getting my eggs, sunny side up was key. Side of bacon had a great amount of crisp without being overcooked, and the Ube pancakes are always a hit. Something we always have to add on the side. The sauce that comes with them is deliciously sweet and taste more like icing for a cake dessert. Place is definitely worth visiting. The food is consistently good and so is the service. read more

This is such a cute place! Very nicely decorated. Very clean. Good spacing. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Service was amazing! Our server was Savannah. She was very attentive, gave great recommendations and was quick to respond when needed. The food is good! Had the fried chicken sandwich with seasoned fries and a passion fruit mimosa. The sandwich was really good! My only issue was that the fries were very heavily seasoned so it made them hard to eat but they were crispy on the outside and soft on the I side just like I like them. This was the best cold food breakfast food I have had in a long time! It started out as a rough experience but it eventually got better. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is nice. I loved how we were served water as soon as we sat down. While we were waiting to order, there was some sort of air freshener scent that came out the vents and had the whole restaurant coughing to the point they had to open the doors to let some fresh air in. The waitress we had was nice but she didn't seem to quite know how to use her ordering device but she eventually figured it out. It took about 45 mins for us to receive our food. Because it was a private event, I didnt have a chance to try options from the menu. The ambiance inside is clean, cozy and inviting. Beautiful cozy clean space with plenty of parking. I ordered the ube pancakes, eggs, bacon and cheese grits. It was the little bit of everything meal. All the food was hot and delicious except for the eggs. Just bland and a bit overcooked. The ube pancakes were a great new take on pancakes and they came with an ube syrup...delightful!! The hostess stand was right at the front door and I was seated immediately on a Friday morning. I was greeted by my server soon after sitting down. While the restaurant has a cozy feel to it but the booths could do with some kind of cushion. I was able to place my order and receive my coffee with milk and sugar cubes. I was a little surprised that the menu explicitly stated the steak and eggs would not have the option of steak sauce so I ordered the short rib hash. Inside the restaurant is clean bright has a homey feel that isn't crowded with stuff. There are plenty of tables and outdoor seating that's gonna be amazing to dine in when it's warm enough. Our server greeted us immediately, made sure we had enough drink the whole time, and was great at giving recommendations we might like. The food was amazing. It tasted fresh flavorful and not too over the top. My eggs were cooked perfectly. The homestyle potatoes were by far some of the best I've ever had. The menu have so many wonderful choices. First, I recommend coming first thing in the morning if you choose to dine on the weekend. It can get crazy busy around the afternoon. The bestie and I showed up around 10:30am on Monday and there were only 2 other tables taken. Cool. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and my God was it amazing. The grits were so buttery and creamy, and the seasoning from the shrimp was amazing. I never had any like That before, and shrimp+grits, along with chicken and waffles, are my main breakfast/brunch orders anywhere I go. I also tried (and devoured) my friend's Ube pancakes. They were sweet without it being overwhelming. It was very well made. Can't eat everyone's pancake because most spots serve them heavy or the texture feels like it's under cooked. The syrup and blueberries served alongside were very good as well. Our server was super sweet and very accommodating. Very chill spot. We sat and chatted away without worry. We were able to sneak on a Sunday when it wasn't very busy. We were seated immediately. My husband and I shared a combo and upgraded to the Ube pancakes and we also got a side of veggies that we topped on our eggs. The ube pancakes were delicious! If you don't like too sweet but do have a craving for a just a little bit of sweetness, these pancakes are perfect; the sauce comes on the side too so you can decide how much you want on it. They also had a bit on crunch on the edges of the pancakes which I actually love because I am normally a waffle gal. I will be going back purely for those pancakes. It was a very clean modern space with a large roll-up door as the front. The space is tiny though so I can see how it would fill up quickly and required a long wait. The prices in my opinion were high given that we still paid a decent amount event though we shared food, so that is the primary reason for it being a 4 and not a 5. read more

So we were in Greensboro before an appointment and had time to spare, and decided to eat at this quant restaurant. We've eaten at their location in Charlotte and had been waiting to try this location being that it's closer to home. I ordered the Sweet Potato Waffle along with the cheesy grits. My daughter had the Fried Chicken sandwich which she said was good, but the potatoes were just "eh". My food wasn't hot when it was brought to our table, which was disappointing. I feel the waffle could've been better had it been hot or at least warm. The cheesy grits had a good flavor to them, they just weren't hot as grits usually are. Our waitress was Asia and she was really sweet and friendly. The aesthetic of the place is pretty and the music that is being played sets the tone. The good news is this place extends brunch until 4pm on Sundays, and other places end at 3pm. Plus, you don't need a reservation. I got a combo called "A bit of everything". I had an egg fried over well, chicken sausage links, and potatoes as my side. I also upgraded my French toast to the stuffed strawberry shortcake French Toast. Great decision! I was happy to see a new black owned restaurant come to town. I follow them on tiktok and was anticipating their opening. I didn't go for the grand opening, but went the following weekend on a Sunday around 3 PM with my niece and nephew. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and taken to a seat as there were not many people dining at that time. Our waitress was wonderful! The menu had some great offerings, a little on the expensive side, but good food is worth it so I wasn't bothered by that (initially). I was just getting over sickness so I didn't order what I would have normally ordered. I ordered the 2 eggs and meat and my niece and nephew both ordered the little bit of everything. My meal, while tasting great, was extremely small portions. 2 of the tiniest "strips" of bacon ever and what appeared to be 1 little scrambled egg, then a whole lot of breakfast potatoes, with 1 slice of toast. My nephew was disappointed as well with the portion size of bacon, eggs and veggies on his plate. He had a pancake and overall enjoyed the taste of his food. My niece was highly satisfied, however! She paid extra to get the sweet potato waffle and loved it. She also loved the grits! We tasted her grits and they were indeed yummy! The owner/manager checked on us. We didn't complain to her about portion sizes. We did tell her our regret for not ordering those yummy grits that my niece had and said we'd order them next time for sure. A couple minutes later, she brought my nephew and I a bowl of grits, on the house! Nice! I was out and about and thought I would try a new place for brunch. Easy like Sunday. Had good reviews on yelp, so I thought I would give it a try. I was seated quickly so that was nice. The waitress took a bit to come to the table. They were busy so it was understandable. I ordered a water and mocha. The waitress brought my drinks about 10 mins or more. I ordered the fried chicken and corn pancakes. They came out pretty quick. The chicken was overcooked and dry but the pancakes were excellent. I finished my mocha and water . The waitress had not come by the table so I waved down another waitress. She brought me a refill and I finished my brunch. I was not in a hurry but I sat there way too long waiting on my check. I finally waved down the manager and asked for my bill. I said that after my waitress took my order she never came back. " I guess she forgot about me ". She apologized then another waitress finally brought my check. I thought the atmosphere was nice. The food was 1/2 passable. But the service was some of the worst I have experienced in Greensboro. FINALLY! Another good breakfast place in Greensboro! The food was AMAZING. The prices were a little high, but you definitely get enough food to justify it. I got the Chicken and Cornmeal Pancakes. My husband and I visited this restaurant and had a great waitress. She was friendly and attentive. However, the Eggs Benedict Florentine had unripe avocados and the poached eggs were overcooked. If you like poached eggs like I do, you like your egg runny when you pierce it. I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she apologized and offered something else which I declined. The manager didn't come to the table. And we were charged full price for the item. I'm not bugging about being charged, but a manager should've acknowledged that the food was done incorrectly and offered an apology. Probably not going back. read more
