The coffee was delicious and it was a great beverage to sip on while reviewing the extensive menu. I got the biscuits, hashbrowns, over easy eggs smothered in house made gravy. My dining partner got the spicy breakfast burrito. All the food was great and the service was fast. They were giving out a business card with a QR code to fill something out online to then receive a free entree item on your next visit. Scramblers is a chain....Ive seen them around places we have played hockey. There was a Scramblers across from our hotel so we gave it a shot. Service was great ..we were greeted and seated immediately even though it was tres busy. The server was friendly and knowleageable about the menu. Scramblers specializes in sort or lighter healthier breakfasts and my son, who plays hockey wanted a "Ploughboy platter" . she helped him design a super caloric breakfast with creative side orders. I had a crabcake benedict...it was good and the crab was lump crab meat with claws and was good quality. Hollandaise was fake but almost everyones is anymore. As soon as we walked in the door there was a massive wait and all the workers lied and told everyone that the wait was 10 minutes but was 30 or more. Hash browns were listed on the menu with 180 calories which would have been true had they not come swimming in grease. There was so much grease, it was pooling on my plate. I couldn't even eat them. All I ended up eating was a $12 egg white omelette that had sparse vegetables and too much cheese. Solid breakfast spot. This is the place to get your greasy fatty breakfast in. I've enjoyed the French toast, pancakes, all the breakfast meats, hashbrowns with cheese are really good. And how about a place that seasons their eggs before they cook them? No salt n pepper needed. There are some healthy options I noticed as of late but I stay home if thats what Im looking for. I don't drink much coffee but I ll get a cup here now n again. It's really good and all kind of flavored creamers on the table for you to play with. Service has always been good for me but I generally come after the breakfast crowd. It's open til 3 so great for late brunch or folks like me who sleep til 12 whenever I can. Went to the one one secor rd in west toledo. Staff was very friendly and good but the food was not so good. The eggs they use are grade a small no yoke and the pancakes where to have granola but there was none. Food was cold and bacon was very tough. Whaaaat happened to this place? It is a long way from La Peeps, Cafe Marie's, and even Scrambler Marie's. Prices go up, food quality goes down. Last 2-3 visits have been subpar. Even the coffee is no longer what it used to be. Where is my old raisin English muffin? Came here on a used-to-be-packed 12 p.m. Sunday, and there were many empty tables. Now I know why. My "Awesome Avocado" omelet had an odd chemical taste to the one-and-only 2 slices of avocado on top. Eggs had a weird taste as well. My guest ordered his hashbrowns to be "crispy". They were worse than usual; like they were boiled! No fry marks at all! Watch out Scramblers. Get with the program, get a good cook, or you will be going out of business. read more

This is a nice diner-like restaurant with large portions in the same vein as say, an Ihop. The food is better than a Perkins/Ihop and there are more interesting choices on the menu than is the typical standard fare at other restaurants. We did a little google'ing and found Cafe Marie's and decided to give it a whorl. I think I found my favorite breakfast place in town. Sure, there are places that will give you a whole buffet, but if that's what you want - then this may not be your gig. This is a diner-like establishment which caters breakfast and lunch in a great way. The fruit is cut fresh, the coffee is non-stop and fresh brewed, and the portions are very large. When I went I decided against the bottomless pancakes, and decided to go with the avocado omelet, sourdough toast, and made-to-order hashbrowns - a decision I have absolutely no regrets about. It's fairly priced over here, pretty similar to any Dennys, IHop, or Bob Evans. Would I go back again? Maybe not. The Maumee location does not measure up to the Perrysburg location. I have been to Perrysburg dozens of times and the Maumee location about five now... The service is less hospitable and the food is a lesser quality. My boyfriend ordered his usual Seafood Benny and at Maumee they used some kind of oil on the english muffin, had a very weird taste, and the hollandaise sauce was smothering the eggs and it was extremely gross (had to send it back). The setup of the dining room is also not fluid, very strange and unsettling. It is not horrible, but I am very glad we like the Perrysburg location so much (that isn't perfect either) so we can enjoy Marie Scramblers! I recommend the French Toast for sure, corn beef hash is also my underrated fav! read more

I had the Flagship skillet (eggs, tomatoes, onions, bacon over potato chunks) and then had the Eye Opener (eggs scrambled with bacon, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and lots of cheese). Both were delicious, hot and wonderful. Oh, and the kicker? The carafe of coffee and one of water they leave at your table. Makes the dining experience just wonderful! Wow. Someone needs to get their act together! We have been to this location several times when we have stayed in the area. We arrived at 7:45 am on a Wednesday morning and there were about 8 tables occupied. Two other parties walked in when we did and it took us all a few minutes to get seated. Several minutes later, a waiter brought water and told us it would be a while as she has three tables to get to first. She did take our order about five minutes later, but informed us with everything going in at once, it would take a while. At that point, my wife counted tables. There were nine tables occupied, as two singles and a group of five just left. Of those nine tables, four had food. As promised, it took an unusually long time to get our food. What a nice surprise for breakfast awaits along the link from rt. 23 to the Ohio Turnpike! There we were early in the a.m. on the way home from MI figuring we'd have to stop at the old, overpriced Cracker Barrel when we espied something new along the way! I had a 4-egg omelet with mushrooms, spinach, bacon, cheese and green onions all piled high in a gratin dish, with a mountain of crispy skin-on potato chunks...fantastic! The kid had a chorizo filled omelet with cheeses melted all over and fresh diced red peppers and onions smothered with fresh salsa and sour cream. Her omelet came with fresh fruit...both came with our choice of bread/muffin/biscuits. My omelet was $5.99..what a deal...the kid's was a buck more. How the heck does good ole Marie produce fine food at bargain prices? Oh, and the pancakes and French toast are 'bottomless'...and looked wonderfully fluffy and light. Friendly service, too.
