Nice place for a fun, interesting breakfast outside Toledo. It's in a fancy mall, but it's very relaxed. Good, interesting breakfast choices, great coffee, and the homemade jam is delicious. We liked the corned beef hash (they poach a perfect egg) and the sausage party (basically a sausage hash). Would definitely come back. Not that close to I-80 if you are looking for a highway on-off, but we thought it was worth the slight detour. read more

This was a really nice treat. Get there before 10 on the weekends because they get extremely busy. I had the corned beef breakfast bowl, and apparently the corn beef is made by the restaurant. I've never had corn beef like that before in my life. It was so fluffy if you can imagine. I definitely got a hangover easy shirt because why not right? Hang Over Easy is a fun take on a retro diner with a fresh take on brunch/lunch classics. This was my second time dining here and I have continued to be impressed. This trips highlights were the BEC (breakfast sandwich) and Breakfast Tacos. My friend also got a bloody mary which he was very good. The service is quick, staff have always been super friendly, and they're good about turning around tables. The only reason for not a perfect experience is that the menu is priced at a premium and the potatoes that come with most breakfast dishes aren't my favorite. Breakfast is undoubtedly my favorite meal, and while I'm happy with Bob Evans, I'm always looking for new flavors and ideas to present themselves to me in the morning. And to that, while serving up generally traditional and familiar breakfast items, HOE offers them with a twist, which I greatly appreciate. The mushroom omelet with mushroom gravy is a surprise variation on a classic dish, something vegetarians and carnivores will both enjoy. It could benefit from extra cheese, but the flavors were excellent, and paired nicely with the sourdough toast. And even though $5 for one pattie of sausage is extremely overpriced, it was in fact, very delicious sausage. Building on the twisted idea, a fried chicken sandwich is pretty common these days, but HOE's Korean version is quite awesome, with really nice textures and some great dill pickles. Not what you'd expect from a cheeky diner-inspired restaurant, but truly welcomed. The atmosphere could use a little work, feeling very much a part of an outdoor shopping center, and not as much the 'campy' breakfast joint they are aiming for, but the menu and friendly service (shout out to Jordan) make up for it. Food comes out fast, and while it's SUPER loud, you'll be more than distracted by the food to notice. A little hard to find (don't trust your GPS), I would say HOE is worth at least one visit to Perrysburg, and if they ever decide to open in Toledo, we'd probably visit quite often. read more

I'm a "traditional southern" biscuit kinda guy, but the biscuits here are amazingly good - appear to be baked in a muffin tin & are VERY dense. I was excited to try this out and was craving breakfast - a skillet breakfast to be exact. From the description I thought the Sloppy Seconds was it. It actually was just a standard breakfast plate though. The eggs were cooked perfect but were floating in oil/grease that they were cooked in - way too much! The potato's were just gross and flat out cold. The bacon and toast were good. On the plus side the service was great and the food came out super fast. I am new to town and trying to find a good breakfast spot. We found this one exploring. First I commend the staff. They were all wonderful and made sure everyone had a good meal and an experience. Well trained staff that enjoyed what they do. Secondly is the food. I had the corn beef hash. I always ask the question "home made or from a can." I was shocked when I heard "home made". It was worth every calorie. Way to go chef. My wife ordered a biscuit instead of toast. Once again home made. Expectations are high for the biscuits and gravy! Over all I highly recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to going again. Down side was the two ladies that complained about everything behind us. The Karen sisters took some of the brightness out of the room. Their meal was comped (even though they ate most of it). Then both proceed to the bathroom at the same time while taking their purses with them. The one dollar tip was left on the table. When they came out they humiliated the busboy in front of the entire restaurant bringing him to tears. Hoping they read this review because you should not go out in public if you treat people the way you did today. The staff (whom were excellent) handheld them with grace and dignity. I really enjoyed myself at Hang Over Easy. This is a very nice location, with a lot of energy inside. The service was pretty fast, our waiter (and other staff members) were very friendly! The menu has a variety of options (that sounds delicious btw) that i'm excited to go back & try out. This day however, I decided to keep it simple. I ordered the Sloppy Seconds and ordered a side of french toast for an up charge in place of the toast. The home fries were excellent. The eggs were great. The french toast was acceptable. It was hard around the edges and could use a bit more flavor in some way. But I ate them and it didn't ruin my meal, but it didn't make it. A friend and I were celebrating our birthdays so I also tried the standard Mimosa and the Peach Kiss Mimosa. Both were great, but I would get the Peach Kiss again when I go back. The toast was huge and wasn't special but good, the fruit looked sad. We also ordered some cinnamon roll French toast and the French toast was good, the strawberry topping looked like the strawberries were old. The basic eggs bacon and toast breakfast was good. Trendy new breakfast spot at Levis Commens. When I stopped in the place was full but we only waited 5 minutes or so. Hang Over Easy's menu and ambience is full of double entendres that lean toward the adult side; like the HOE potatoes, one night stand etc. A bit gimmicky, I would prefer a clearer definition of what I'm about to eat. There is a drink menu full of delicious adult beverages, but our server said it is currently unavailable. Coffee was delicious, but they offer no real dairy which is a bummer. Be careful because hazelnut looks just like the regular creamer. Both meals we tried were delicious. Fluffy biscuits were served with chorizo gravy that was balanced and not overpowering. The corned beef has was made in house with a delicious blend of seasonings, a dash of crème fresh and garnish with red pickled onions. Oddly served with one slice of toast for such a hearty meal. Both meals were so generous that I left with carry out boxes. Service seems a little spotty but they just opened. The busboy was definitely hopping; great job!
