We were hunting for a good slice of NY style pizza for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! First, you can order ANY FLAVOR by the slice which you don't often see! And it was a massive slice we couldn't even finish. Do not order the garlic cheese bread, though - that was a solid 2 stars. Everyone was friendly and it was a chill vibe for a smaller place.

Everytime I come to Savannah Screaming MiMi's is always my first stop. When we walked in it was a little crowded and a lot of people were waiting for their orders. Since it was so busy we had to wait a minute for our dine in food. The kids enjoyed looking at the wall of stickers in front of the kitchen as well as some of the wall art. For an appetizer we ordered a white slice and garlic cheese bread. Both were hot and cheesy, which is just the way we like it. We ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni pizza which came out extremely hot. We also got a stromboli, the stromboli looked great but the only issue was that it was luke warm on the inside. We were so hungry we just decided to eat it like that. All the food was yummy and the only negative was the lukewarm stromboli but nonetheless it still tasted great.

Right in its own pocket of downtown you'll find Screamin Mimi's where they sling slices from 11-11 I went with the supreme slice & enjoyed the pepperoni, sausage, bacon combo. The tomato sauce is the winner imo as it had tons of depth... lightly sweet. Crust was fine, a little floppy. Also ordered cheese sticks that came w/ cheese x 100... very cheesy & my crew enjoyed. Consistent & a great alternative to big box corporate pizza

We went to Screamin Mimi's due to my son craving pizza. We had reservations elsewhere for the evening. So decided to get pizza by the slice here. It was very close to the hotel we were staying at in Savannah, GA. The young lady behind the order area was very friendly and provided great customer service. We got nice and hot slice of pizza, and it was very tempting. My husband and I ended up eating the pizza with my son. I can see why this place is a local favorite, the pizza was delicious and tasty. We also bought a side of chips, they sell snacks as well. If you are looking for a good place to get pizza in Savannah, this is the place. They also have some nice sitting area with tables and chairs as well as outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The ambiance is funky and cool with cute art.

We stumbled upon this gem of a place when our original choice didn't update their hours on Yelp and I'm so happy we did! The jumbo pizza slices were as advertised. They were HUGE and quite tasty. The focaccia bread was decent and the baked ziti we brought back to the teenager was enormous! It could have easily fed 2-3 people. The service was friendly and fast. Another hit on this epic vacation :-)

Pizza was passable. The cheese and margherita slices were not very flavorful. I definitely wouldn't get them again. The only slice we hands down liked was the BBQ chicken. We highly recommend that slice.

Loved this recommendation from a friend! Definitely recommend if you are in the Savannah area and looking for pasta/pizza option. Service has always been good. Have ordered ahead of time and ordered in store and both experiences have been as expected with wait times, quality, etc. It's a pretty quick in-and-out place that has friendly staff. Would say the ambiance is exactly what you'd except from a quick, casual joint. Baked ziti was really good! A ton of food so would recommend sharing or being ok with leftovers. Also ordered a pizza slice which is not pictured but definitely recommend grabbing a slice if you're not interested in an entire pizza - love that they offer that option. Cheesy garlic bread was goooood... yum yum! I do wish the chicken parm sub had a little more substance. It was much more bread forward than filling forward, which was a bummer. We ordered it a second time hoping it would be different but unfortunately was not. We also got the chopped cheese (not pictured) and felt there was too much bread to meat ratio.

    Large pepperoni pizza well done.

One of my top three pizza places. Like the chill vibe inside and on the patio and that there is parking available which is nice.

These are a must try if you like wings. Chicken and pancake tacos were delicious. Pancakes had a touch of sweetness. Fried chicken inside with a spicy mayo. Topped with a strawberry salsa that worked well. 3 of these were very filling. Fun and very good. Son had the double wide footlong. Topped with sloppy Joe. After that the 2 sides were different. One had fried banana peppers. The other side more classic with toppings. Son said it was really good. Others had the ahi tuna salad. Tuna was perfectly rare. Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

While I'd advise you to slip staying in the hotel where this restaurant sits, the restaurant itself (and the other one downstairs, fleeting) were bright spots in an otherwise lackluster hotel stay. We enjoyed breakfast here a few days. The service is fantastic (we saw Miranda a couple times and she made us feel like regulars, remembering our order and offering some sight seeing tips), all staff was friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is well done, with a Mediterranean influnce. We enjoyed the shakshuka (highly reco you add the kefta and ask for oven bread instead of the sourdough) and the Turkish eggs (also reco asking for the oven bread with this one), both dishes were flavorful and well executed (and we try shakshuka everywhere we see it!) We also had evening snacks one night and enjoyed the hummus with the mushroom add on and some of their signature drinks. Staff In the evening was also strong and didn't disappoint. If we ever find ourselves back in Sav we won't stay at the hotel Thompson but we will stop into Bar Julian!
