If you need window screens, retractable doors or window services, AVOID ScreenMobile if you can. Yesterday, ScreenMobile's technician came to replace our regular screens with full window screens, and he broke our regular screen when removing it. When I went outside to get my 3 regular screens from him, he gave me 2, not 3. Then he lied and told me I was missing a screen and should go look around my house for it, which I did. Meanwhile he'd hid my broken screen beneath his truck where I couldn't see it, but I found it later... I ended up talking later with Jeffery Ballantyne, the owner of the company. He was quite belittling, opening the whole call answering me that he'd not been able to review my case in detail because he'd been all day at a "BIG job". He'd only been verbally cued in by his CSR. Then I shared with Jeff what happened, and he told me he talked to the tech three times today. The tech admitted lying. I told him how this cost me a large part of my workday, documenting what occurred so I could provide ScreenMobile with the details (even though I work from home and now have to work late to cover my lost time), how I was a bit shook about further interaction with the tech after I discovered he'd lied to me, etc. I mentioned that we, as customers, have the ability to provide a review online of our experience. Jeff's response, "I feel like you're threatening me. We are an honest company who cares about their customers. This should not have happened to you and I will be talking to him again about this." I replied, "Not intending to threaten, it's just a known element to business today that customers share feedback about their experience, to other customers online. We consider online reviews very valuable ourselves, and chose quite a few businesses solely by what we saw on Facebook and Google, for example." Finally he begrudgingly said he'd give me 5% off my bill, but he was not happy about it. Our call ended. I was left sickened and at a loss. I have a close contact who is a successful business owner of a mid-size company in WA state. Here was his response when I reached out to him for feedback: "When his [Jeff's] integrity is proven to be compromised, he should have done everything to make it right with you, and thanked you for the opportunity to make the necessary corrections in his company. A bad review is what he deserves if he is going to make you feel bad for exposing his problem. That is what bad reviews are for. Protect the next person from a dishonest company." Conclusion: When the office called me for payment this morning, I kindly rejected the 5% off, and paid full price. Jeff Ballantyne completely missed the point. It's not about the money. It's about the service. And I STILL feel sick about how I was treated, BOTH by the technician, but even worse, by the owner of the company. We had wonderful customer service from this company. It started with the first call to get the quote, setting the appointment and then the installation. We had four windows done with 90% UV protection. This was not easy for our service guy because not all of the windows were offset. But he made sure there was a tight fit with no cracks. He even suggested double screening one of my windows that bugs have been getting in at night. This is the second time we have used this company. Once two years ago for our patio slider screen. I had solar screens installed on my house back in August 2017. They look great. However, in May 2021 I got a new tenant who noticed 3 screens don't fit inside the frame any more. My guess is that the frames were originally made to fit so tight that when summer comes and the metal frames expand due to the heat, it won't allow you to put them back on the window easily. I called Screenmobile just a few minutes ago to see if somebody could come out and tell me why since I paid over $1,500 to have the screens installed. I was told it would cost me $148 for somebody to come out and look at them. Buyer beware. read more

I got several quotes from different companies and Screenmobile was the most reasonably priced for sun screens. Troy came out to my home and showed me samples of the different sun screen types. He explained to me to pros and cons of the different options and I'm quite happy with the results. He and another gentlemen finished installing the screen over my kitchen window and my sliding door with a fixed panel in about an hour. Troy even had an SRP rebate paper printed out, ready for me. The screen on one of my sliding patio doors had several holes in it and needed to be replaced. I had used this company once before and had a good experience, so went with them again. They were very helpful when I first contacted them regarding what type of screen would work best for me. I went with the pet screen for this project since it is heavier duty and I have 2 large dogs. They were able to make an appointment for a few days after I first contacted them, arrived in the window specified, and finished the job in a timely manner. Great work. After talking with Morgan on the phone and Mike in the field I"ve never even met anyone from the company. But the professional attitude and advice sealed the deal. One thing I find worth mentioning is that in the 4-5 times I called the company if they didn't answer they returned my call right away in 2-3 minutes. They estimated in the last week of November and Installed the first week of December on my schedule. Being in the construction industry I'm probably pickier than most and pay attention to the details and I was very happy and surprised to come home to a completed job with no call backs. My patio door has a wide frame, nice size handle and all metal..not the thin flimsy plastic type where the rollers break so easily.
