First, I wish there was an option to give them a ZERO star! I called this company because I was referred to them and I was familiar with them from my previous job. I had a shattered window that needed to be replace. I called them and they told me that someone could come take a look at my window in a week to get a quote and see what needed to be done. A week later the guy came and he told me that someone from the company will email me and call me to give me a quote. Two weeks later I have yet to hear anything from the company, so I took the initiative to call them. They then told me that they had to get back with me regarding about the quote at before the end of the day. I still had yet to receive any all from them that day! I called the next day and again they told me the same thing. I decided to wait and then a week later I called and they did the same thing. It has been over a month now and I still haven't receive any calls from them for any updates! So they just lost a customer that only needed a glass replacement. read more

Six weeks or so ago I purchased a closed box supposedly containing a 100' roll of 36" wide aluminum screen. That was the first mistake as the sealed box turned out to contain a roll of 20 something inch wide screen - useless to me. 2nd trip out to Mapunapuna and ' was told, "so sorry" & that the screen that I'd paid for wasn't in stock & would have to be ordered. "Please leave phone # and we'll call you as soon as it arrives, etc., etc." O.K. -- five weeks pass & a weird phone call from them to "confirm the problem." Huh? On a hunch I decided to drive out again, for the third time. ' Was told, "Your order arrived last week -- there's one small problem though-- our people have been using it for other jobs! You're welcome to take what's left of the roll. We've been trying to reach you but no one answers." ' Reason, it turns out is that they suddenly have a wrong phone number... After reaching me earlier? Sure. The kicker? If I could give 0 stars I would! Dealing with this company was an absolute nightmare! They scheduled us 8 weeks out and then cancelled at the last minute. We finally got the door installed which took nearly 4 months! It not only took forever, but the manager was rude when my wife called to complain. To add to the pain, we also wanted the same door installed for the back of our house. We were not doing to deal with Screens and Things again so we called around and found another company, who completed the job within 2 weeks and it was way cheaper for the exact same door. I needed to get a screen made. I went to City Mill which I like, but they said they didn't have the same type of frame. They made a test frame but it didn't work. I remembered that I had used Screens & Things years ago. When I forgot exactly where they were located, they gave very good directions. The representative that greeted me was extremely informed & helpful. She said they still made the frame I needed. She said it would be ready by Fri. I told her I was off till Thurs. Lo & behold! Nice people, but it appears the job required was too small for them to bother with as it has taken over 1 month of calling them and still nothing has been accomplished. Our front "screen" door needed replacement quickly and we were referred to them by a family member. They got my name wrong on my initial contact so every conversation after that required 5 min of explaining my correct name. A nice young man came to measure the door and promised a call in a few days with their "proposal" (it's an estimate guys, let's dial it down a notch). No one did. I called again a week later, and was given a price over the phone, for a door I did not order. Then I was told a new "proposal" would need to be done. He asked me for my email address and said they would call me back. No one did. Called again today only to be told the "proposal" was sent via e-mail. Sure enough it was in my "junk" mail (not their fault, I realize) and lo and behold, it was addressed to a wrong name again. Call me crazy but I just found this whole business process cold and frustrating. To ask for a pretty substantial amount of $$ for a simple front screen door via E MAIL all the while promising to call me back and not doing so...is bad customer service. While your products are probably top notch, and as I said, your employees (except for the young lady I spoke with this morning, sorry I did not get her name but she gave me only about 20% of her attention on the phone and I hung up) were generally nice people, I agree with another reviewer down below: Either you get 100% of Screens and Things attention, or none at all.
