I've worked with Austin twice already and have been thoroughly satisfied each time. The first time was to see about replacing the camera glass on my Samsung Galaxy s10. He made sure all the glass shards were gone, then taped over the camera lens to protect it while we waited for the replacement glass. He also cleared out the charging port, as about 1/2 inch of pocket lint had gotten in it. The second time, my daughter's Samsung s8 wasn't charging. He tested both cords: Good. Over the past 10 plus years of owning Apple devices, I have been to a few screen repair shops for broken screens. The quality of work here is by far the best. I noticed that at other repair places, the iPhone or iPad did not work exactly as it did with an original manufacture screen. Either the touch response was slow or off or in one case, I would lost the functionality of the home button. Yesterday, I took my wife's severely cracked iPhone8+ and they had it fixed in under 30 minutes. Her phone is working like it did when it was brand new! Keyboard and touch response is on point. Didn't want to wait hours in line at Apple store, nor wanted to wait days or even weeks for an appointment at the stupid Genius Bar and then wait another few hours like a zombie for a new screen. Went into this store hoping they could still fix my fully cracked glass since it was an old model, and they said they could fix it and was going to be around 25 minutes. So I went back and they replaced my screen with the incorrectly oriented polarization and the light leakage on the sides. The explanation was that for older refurbished original apple screens they put on new polarization when the old polarization film was damaged in removal of the screen. And the new polarization film that they put on was oriented up and down and not at an angle. When I asked if people complained about that he said no because not everyone uses polarized sunglasses. There was no explanation of the light leakage. I brought my phone home and it seems that the second "new" screen is working ok. The guy I spoke to was apologetic and helpful. H/w I only upped it to 2 stars because of my irritation at having to go back twice and possible shady upsale to the OEM screen that didn't have proper polarization and forcing me to have to notice it for them to fix it. read more

Johnny had great customer service. But it ends there. I paid $280 plus to repair my iPad Pro screen. Picked it up and took it home and when I used it for a zoom meetings the sound didn't work. Also, when I tried to change the volume from the the top the screen would flash then the volume would go all the way up by itself. It seemed like the new screen that was put on was way too tight hence the screen flashing. I called about my issue and was told they had to reorder a new one and probably something was not connected back when it was put back together. It took 4 days for the part to come back. I was gone for work for about 2 weeks for work. The day I was suppose to bring it back the iPad fell on my carpeted floor. It cracked on the side. Carpet? Again too tight. I went in and explained what happened and he said he wound give me 20% off. If he had given me a working iPad when I picked it up there would be no return trip. I don't mind taking ownership when it's all on me but this should have been dealt 50/50. His fault and mine. read more

I have an iPhone 7 insured/out of warranty. Today i went to Apple and my service provider to price compare a screen repair/replacement, i could either have Apple fix it for 149 + tax, or pay 110 and wait 7-10 days for the repair thru insurance. I called around the Bay Area for a week to find somebody who could, or was willing to, or had the part in stock. Chuck at ScreenWorks got the job done! My iPhone 4s had a bad proximity sensor. The phone has to be mostly disassembled to replace it (I saw the DIY YouTube video). Most places I contacted only fix screens. Others in SF could fix, but didn't have the part. A famous one on Shattuck in Berkeley didn't have parts either, but was rather unwilling to bother fixing it and recommended buying a used phone. Chuck and his team got it done without a hassle.
