The fact that they are everywhere here but they are on need of an update... I give the wash a 7. My suggestion is they need to model their stores after the ones in Florida where the vacuum stations are fantastic with air , fluids etc.. microfiber cloths and more. One of the few tunnel car washes in the city that offers an interior cleaning service, in addition to an exterior wash. The quality of the exterior wash and interior cleaning are quite good. Scrub a Dub is everywhere, these days, they are rock solid, with some infrequent, perpetual issues. The South Bay Scrub a Dub is quite good. Please tip the interior cleaning staff generously, as they work hard, and have a good work ethic. read more

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this company. the car was scratch my car. I brought it up to the manager. they blamed me. the regional director also blamed me saying it was dirt. instead of making this right and taking responsibility, they blame their customers. I also noticed another guy complain the same time I did and they did nothing. I will make sure I never go back here and make sure all my family and friends never go. read more

After posting the review, I did finally get a call from David who is a Sr. Regional Manager who was VERY understanding and took the time to understand my concerns. He met with me in person within a week of posting the initial review. He and Bruno, the South Bay Manager, refunded me both the cost of the service and even the tip 100%. Lastly, we both agreed that since I had to file a claim with my insurance to get the repairs done that we would wait for that claim to close. If my insurance didn't subrogate the cost of the repairs/deductible, he would also refund that expense as well. After getting confirmation that the claim was closed, David and Bruno have since refunded my deductible 100%. Even though this issue could have been avoided, the work they did was good. Knowing that Bruno and David did everything they could to make us whole and not be out any money as a result we are truly considering trying them out again in the future. Extremely poor customer service. Customer service is rude and condescending. Also I called to cancel my subscription. The woman on the phone walked me through the cancelation. I received an email saying it was canceled and they proceeded to charge me every month sense. I had to prove that I canceled my subscription. Before they would actually cancel it. I asked for interior with shampoo. Literally every month I get this. I also have a monthly super choice membership. They charged me for a plan even though I never asked for an additional plan. They claimed they overcharged me and refunded me. My account shows 3 charges, interior $37, and another $54 and $35 for no reason. All so they can sell me a plan I didn't ask for. I already have a monthly which I keep telling the rep. Now they are telling me these charges are all set even though I don't see any refunds. I was $89.00 extra!! Really? My request was simple. Update: never will I ever step foot at this location. My car came out same way it went in. Windows werent cleaned properly either! Manager wouldnt allow workers to clean a part of the seat that my child spilled juice on. I wanted to even pay extra as it was only one part of it, & it was seeping through, stinking up my car .... and manager had the audacity to tell me make an appt 4 days later as the earliest available. ‍ workers were so willing to help me which I give them EXTRA KUDOS for always trying to go above and beyond but this individual wouldnt let them do a deed which is what it came down to. Unfortunately it takes a bad experience from 1 person for me to move on. I'm all set. Tried to give them a chance considering the last effed up service but canceling my membership was the best choice at this point. My car is parked outside and is subject to occasional birds' poop. It also gets sprayed by other passing by car. I took the car to the Dorchester location for a wash. The wash did not clean all the poop off the car. There were left over visible telltales on the sides of the car. The brushes that are used, did a poor job on the roof of the car and left a lot of smudges of dirt and poop on it. The wash did remove all the salt, though. read more

Just had a custom interior shampoo done on my Civic, we desperately needed it. The employees were kind and friendly and my car is cleaner than when I purchased it. Very pleasantly surprised given the affordability of the service, and we will return. My only recommendation is to make it more clear when you reserve a service that you should park your car and come in to the store instead of waiting in the interior line, either in the email confirmation or with a sign. That was confusing to me and we were about 10 minutes late to our appointment, which wasn't a big deal but could add to your customer service experience! . 10/10 read more

Honestly, they do a pretty mediocre interior cleaning job for the price. I ended up doing my own cleaning after. I also came in with a 50% off coupon for liking them on social media for "any wash" and they refused to honor it bc it didn't apply to the interior (said that nowhere?) but I was already stuck paying since the car was en route. So i go here all the time because it's right down the street from me. I had someone throw an egg on the roof of the car. Very difficult to get rid off on these HOT HUMID DAYS! They were kind enough to let me run my car again the wash for free.. BUT, this gentleman asked me what the problem, I explained it to him and he said for an extra 20 bucks I can get it out. I had already paid for the first wash. The moral of the story is that sometimes there scammers like this one young man! It's called being desperate for money and abusing the customers!!!! read more

The stuff employee are often short handed and impossible to handle all the tasks that they must do and keep the whole car wash running with clean supplies so others can use after washing their cars. Also, sometimes the car wash machine itself breaks stuff of the car. I had to replace some pieces that was missing after gone through the washing process. It is amazing that they have the monthly unlimited packages, however they should maintain with a certain quality of service as well. read more

So it's currently 15:57 hours. I come to get a quick interior detail. I come from the entire other side of the city taking almost an hour to get here. I called before hand check and make sure that they're open. No one picks up. I call again let the line ring. Still nothing. Mind you in the pre-recorded message they assured me that detail is open until 16:30 hours. I get here. And they tell me it's been closed for a hour or two. Well why are all the detail guys who normally are cleaning just hanging around doing nothing. This is complete crap. These guys decided they take the day off early and I ended up driving miles out of my way. Taking an hour out of my day and waiting my gas for no reason. What a joke. I personally try to keep my car as clean as possible so my car is never in bad conditions where I would need a deep clean or get my car professionally detailed so I would come here for a quick and cheap clean up. Overall the service is good and quick! The price is cheap I usually get the full works inside and outside which cost about $61. There are a couple things I'm not happy with and that is they leave my car smelling bad with the products they use and there are tons streaks/dust from the towels they use everywhere, I certainly didn't come with my car looking like this but I mean you get what you pay for right? Also, they didn't even wipe down my leather seats.. there were still stains from spilt drinks on the seats and my seats are leather so it's super easy to wipe off. I just didn't know what I paid for exactly for the inside of my car to be cleaned when nothing was cleaned except it getting vacuumed. I would come back to get the outside of my car cleaned but as for the inside I will go else where to get the job done right. read more

Update 2: 07/05/2022 It's fascinating to read that Mat (or the customer care team) continues his hilarious and wildly imaginative account of our phone interaction. Perhaps he should record these calls for quality assurance if he wants to establish a stronger conversation. His most recent response is a display of his continued willful lack of transparency and utter dismissal of the safety of customers. It's funny to be quoted stating the words "fraud claim" from my mouth. I do have a vivid memory of long pauses as you were being coached by your colleagues on the specific conversation remarks in order to generate your speculative conclusion. It's quite childish, just like his temperament. I do agree with him about one thing in his response, customers do read these comments and as a result, the 2.5 star rating average rating on yelp very is fitting for his poorly managed business. The star ratings speak for themselves, so I will state this again, do better. Update 07/05/2022 - It is very unfortunate that Mathew (or the customer care team) appeared to have utilized a canned response in a manner that highlights what appears to be a game of semantics. Mathew (or the customer care team) has failed to mentioned that his phone call was an interrogative measure to protect the interest of the business that he owns. My conversation with Mathew was dismissive, unsympathetic and quite frankly... unprofessional. He questioned my reaction in the security footage and even admitted that he did not gather all the required information to implement what he (or the customer care team) vaguely described as a corrective measure. In addition, he attributed a lack of staffing as a excuse for his employee, (who he identified as Miguel) to conduct himself recklessly. This is a valid matter however, that does not outweigh the safety of customers. David, the regional manager called both times during the work day, from an out of state phone number and left no voicemail after his first call, despite my instruction to Jason. The second call was only initiated after I left my original yelp review. During this second call, David did leave a voicemail where, he claimed to have made a nonexistent third phone call. Mathew later followed up with the phone call the same evening. Mathew did not even have my contact information available despite the fact that I returned to the car wash the following day to complete a digital incident report, at the request of Bruno. These fumbles are a clear indication that Mathew (or the customer care team) has a different interpretation of what they consider serious customer service. His hastily written email, in which my name was incorrectly spelled in the subject line, was simply persuasion to have the review updated. Offering me incentives in return of an updated review and then going out your way to highlight your false sense of noble efforts in a yelp response is laughable. Yes, I accepted the refund offered by Bruno. The complimentary car wash that Mathew (or the customer care team) issued me was gifted to a colleague because I have fully reconsidered my patronage to this business. I am not interested in visiting this business again or accepting a complimentary interior wash. To Matthew (or the Customer Care team), Jason, Jamal and Miguel please do better. Lastly to Bruno, I again want to express my gratitude that you were the sole individual who handled this ordeal professionally. I hope this is update you sought for per our conversation. read more

This place gets the salt off my car in the winter and makes it look nice and shiny. Good enough. Why not 5 stars? -1... There are times when the line for this place gets really long. And then just doesn't move. I don't know whats going on up there, but with interior cleaning happening after the exterior, it should be easy enough to get everyone through the exterior wash in a fairly short period of time. -1... It misses spots. The wash gets all the superficial dirt off the car everywhere and gets the main parts all nice and shiny. But if you look around the bottom of the bumpers, around the side view mirrors, and anywhere else your car might jut out alittle bit, its not quite clean. For the price you pay, I'd expect to come out with a clean car, bumper to bumper. -1... The drying mechanism here doesn't actually dry the car. Without fail, there are water droplets covering the car from end to end. Most people seem to know to get out of their car at the end and wipe it down themselves. But isn't that what I'm paying these guys for? Lucky for them, they are conveniently located by 93 and Southie and therefore have my business if I'm not looking for an interior clean and just need a quick wash. read more

They missed several places and it didn't look like they even bothered to do the leather seats which is supposed to be included. The staff was terrible, I watched the woman behind the desk make out with her boyfriend before she bothered to help me. This place is a rip off. read more

Ever have one of those days when you set out do something and it goes wrong and you're all pissy and then, lo and behold, everything is great? That happened to me today with this very car wash. I recently noticed that the back of my receipts from the South Bay and the South Boston Stop and Shops had coupons for a $5 wash from Scrub a Dub. The address said South Bay. So, I drove to South Bay then headed down Southhampton figuring I knew exactly where Scrub a Dub was. Only I didn't - I knew where Bubbles was. Muttering to myself, I took a right onto the 90 bypass exit to get back into Southie, but I'd taken the wrong turn. I ended up on that awful merge to 93S. The one that goes alongside South Bay. I pulled off onto the exit for Boston St. kicking myself for getting stuck in the traffic jam, and then, there it was!!! Scrub a Dub!!!! YAY!!! More importantly, and why it gets four stars, is that we're talking about a FIVE DOLLAR car wash! I waited briefly for the 6 cars in front of me to go through, but otherwise it was fast, easy and very reasonably priced. I'm definitely going back - you know, now that I know where it is. read more

I was hoping to find a great spot to get my new car cleaned after using it for work. I came here and a gentleman came up to my car and asked what I would like to have done. When I said I wanted the inside cleaned he made it seem like he did not want to do it. My suspicions were correct because when I got into my car after they were done the seats still had crumbs and sand on them. There was something still smeared on my back seat and I could tell there were areas they did not even wipe down. When I got home after the exterior wash and got out of my car the outside was barely even cleaned. There were still spots and marks all over the car. I will be continuing to go somewhere else from now on even if it is a longer drive. read more

I love this scrub a dub! I go about every two weeks to get my car washed and the employees are super nice as well as the manager. My car was recently damaged going through the wash. The manager took down all my information and about week later he had contacted me to let me know the part was it. It was replaced locally but a great body shop down the street that worked with my schedule.
