I stopped by ScrubaDub on my lunch break last week with a car wash voucher from my car dealership (oil change gets you a free wash, woohoooooo). I usually go to the one in Natick on my way home from the dealer, but the Shrewsbury branch is only 5 minutes from my work. The service in Shrewsbury is outstanding. The guys in Natick are really impersonable and get pretty passive aggressive when you pull out the free wash voucher. Regardless, I pulled up for a standard car wash in Shrewsbury, and the attendants there were extrememly nice, and they gave me a free 5 minute vaccuum token for after the wash! Apparently they do this for everyone, but I like to feel special. After the wash I got out of my car to vaccuum and noticed that my car was still really dirty... and I drive a white car. Simultaneously, I realized I had put my token into the "car wipe" machine instead of the "vaccuum" machine. The car wash attendant saw me make the mistake and immediately came over to help with not just one new vaccuum coin, but two! Just because! (: He also noted my dirty white car had not been cleaned the first time around, so he told me to pull around and I would get another free wash. Awesome! After my second wash, as I was finishing up my 5 minute vaccuum sesh, the attendant gave me a brochure promotion for $19.99 monthly unlimited washes. Each basic wash is $15, so if I go twice with my white car (that gets exceptionally dirty in the winter) I'll get my money back and then some! Definitely will be returning! read more

My front car plate was ripped off affer my first car wash there... front of car was still quite muddy, so not sure about this place

Seems that the rinse and especially the "spot free rinse" have a great deal of soap in them. Maybe something else? They leave gray streaks all over the car, especially glass. This is both in the DIY AND automated bays. Automated does little for the lower doors and rocker panels. No change from driving in. And never gets under the rear spoiler on my SUV. And, to top it off the free auto mat cleaner was broken. I emailed the company on all issues and they did not respond. Expected some reply to acknowledge customer issues. Radio Silence. A shame. Convenient to my route for errands and I like a clean car. Never get one here. UPDATE: Just had a good call from Scrubadub management. Explained Shrewsbury has very bad water they also have a water circulation issue they are trying to fix right now. Both contribute to the poor quality wash I experienced. Will meet me, refund, comp some future washes. Great customer service so raised my rating. Will see how future washes go and consider reviewing again. read more

I come here pretty often as I live about a mile down the street so it's very convenient for me. For $19, the Super Wash is pretty good. My only annoyance is that they constantly try to sell you monthly memberships, which I have zero interest in. read more

I'm an unlimited member. I decided to try this location. It isn't far from BJs gas or from the Walmart in Northborough. Though it's located right on Rt 9, it's located behind a Valvoline Oil change place. And does not have its own dedicated entrance/exit. Signage is close to nonexistent. So I could barely figure out how to get in and out of the parking lot. There is only 1 drive through lane, but at least half a dozen self wash bays. read more

After my last visit, I have returned two times to Scrubadub in Shrewsbury. I have to say, both visits are what I have learned to expect from this business. The attendant was awesome. I always go here to get my car washed. Last time I went in 7/6 around noontime. I don't think the workers even sprayed my car. Usual I see a little soap from them "attempting" to spray the car. I've been to other local car wash places and they walk around the car make sure almost the entire car is prewashed. read more

I usually go to this location as it's the closest one to my house and everyone is pretty nice. Today around 12:00pm I had the best experience there. I'm not sure what his name was but I wanted to give a shout out to the man who was directing cars into the car wash tracks. Not only did he pay attention to each person coming through but he did the preliminary hosing down thoroughly. It wasn't just a quick stream of soap carelessly. I had bird poop on my windshield and he made sure it was off of my car before I even got into the carwash. He was very patient with everyone's requests to sign up for a membership too. read more

Since my original review, I received a private message sounding like it came from an employee, that was way beyond rude. The public message does not address my complaint either. Since my experience which is now from a few years ago, they added a button on their website to withdraw from the unlimited program, however, when I tried to withdraw they forced me to write a letter. First, trying to find your way in is challenging, better signage is desperately needed. The car wash itself was extremely poor. The windows were all still dirty and there were dirty streaks on both sides of the car. I would not be going back. read more

I have a monthly unlimited program and couldn't be happier. I stop in 1 or 2 times weekly for a quick wash, always looks great and the towel bin is always full to wipe it down or do the windows with the windex. The staff is very friendly and consistent. read more

I've been coming to the Shrewsbury ScrubaDub for years. They have always been a pleasure to deal with. When I recently got a new truck that I wasn't sure would fit, the guys walked through the wash with me inside the truck and checked the clearances. I appreciate the attention to detail. Dissatisfied with the service and employee attitude, had my SUV washed 3 times because of unwashed areas on vehicle. Employee denied caused confrontation. Don't waste your money, drive to the next car wash for satisfaction. Not worth the aggravation or money. After a few emails Scrub a Dub Senior Management resolved my issue. I don't dislike this place, but it has serious issues. I've been to three of their locations (Shrewsbury, Grafton St and Park Ave) and they all have the same problems. First, my vehicle NEVER comes out clean on the first pass through. I always need to ride through a second or even a third time just to get it even moderately clean. Next, the facilities don't have enough land around them for vehicles to maneuver. I always need to make multi-point turns just to enter the wash bay door. They don't have a bypass road to get around the building (the only way out is through the wash). This might not seem like a big concern, but when things break down (as they often do on Park Ave) it's nearly impossible to exit the business. When operations do break down, they place a "closed" sign at the wash bay door instead of the facility entrance. This means that you need to drive all the way around the building, up to the door and discover that they're closed, then back all the way up the road out to the highway in order to exit - backwards. If there are other vehicles in line behind you, it gets to be a real dangerous mess very quickly. Also, I've often paid extra for an undercarriage wash, only to find the underside of my vehicle to still be very dirty and completely dry after passing through. I seriously doubt it is being washed underneath at all. I recently visited the Park Ave facility and opted for the "Super Choice" package. It includes an Express Wash plus your choice of 2 out of 3 optional services for $14. The attendant charged me and sent me through the wash without asking which optional services I had selected. It made me think I was being charged for the extra services without getting them. I yelled out to him that I wanted the Under Wash and he acknowledged my request. However, while passing through the wash I observed that the "Undercarriage Wash" light did not illuminate as it is supposed to while passing through that stage of the system. Upon exiting the wash, I looked underneath my vehicle to find it bone dry and still very dirty. Perhaps it is best to stay with the basic Express Wash and not pay extra for services that you're not getting. Lastly, when you need a rewash because your vehicle is still dirty - as it ALWAYS is, they make you wait in line all over again just to get it done right. The lines are often so long that I just forget about the second pass and settle for a dirty vehicle. Imagine this: you spend $14 and wait in line for 10 minutes to get your car washed, and it comes out still quite dirty. You then get to wait in line all over again, and there is still a good chance that it wont be clean even after the second pass. I appreciate that they have been in business for 50 years, but it might be time to update the operation and its facilities. I'll be glad to update my review if I see improvements, but I suggest you don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. read more

I never write reviews- I went to this scrub a dub and John just completely cleaned my car with close attention to detail before I even went through the car wash. That's the kind of customer service that is lacking these days. He wasn't just "doing his job" and getting it over with..... he did an exceptional job and acted as if it was no big deal. I work on the road all over Massachusetts and get my car professionally cleaned once monthly, and go to random car washes in different towns at least every 2 weeks, but even the $30 exterior cleaners don't seem to care as much as he did about getting my car clean. Scrub a dub does a nice job of getting the car clean. If you pay for the monthly service then you get unlimited washes and vacuum use.

John and his team are both courtiius and thorough in getting the car pre-washed before going in. While I have found most of the car washes in this chain to do an excellent job in most ways, the Shrewsbury location is extremely unsatisfactory. They have two driveways, with no sign telling you which to enter. I have waited many minutes in the wrong lane only tho be turned back. All this could be solved by putting up a sign. I also believe them to be overpriced compared to other car washes. Mostly I believe the problem to be lazy management. On the hand, if you are able to get in the correct lane and actually get in the car wash, the machine does a wonderful job read more

I have been to this car wash three times now and every time has been a disappointment. The first time, my car was nowhere near clean after the touch free wash. I wrote to management, and they gave me a free wash. When I went back, the wash was able to finish the job, but just barely in my opinion. Tonight was the last straw; I won't be returning. After going through the touch-free wash, my vehicle was left with tons of soap on it (even though the soap wasn't evenly distributed to begin with). After pulling out of the bay, I needed to fork over another three bucks in one of their other bays with the pressure washer just to finish the job. It took all five minutes of rinsing by hand, full-blast, in order to get all the soap off. I'm done with this place, and you shouldn't waste your time and money here. read more

No other cars were in line as I approached the two guys working at the Shrewsbury location. One guy started washing my car while my window was open & before I talked witht he 2nd guy about which services I needed. As I handed a Groupon discount to the 2nd guy, the first guy was picking up the brush to wash the front grill & back end. Once the first guy heard it was a Groupon, the brush went back into the bucket, without washing my car. So if you're using a Groupon, don't let the guys know until the last possbile second. Maybe you'll get a full car wash. read more

Stopped by Scrub a Dub in Shrewsbury today. They were very very busy! I was worried I wouldn't make it back to work in time (I was on lunch break), but the line moved very fast. Every single one of the employees was hustling and had a smile on their face while keeping the wash line moving. It was actually impressive to see how quickly they can put cars through the car wash. Long story short my car came out shiny, dry, and looking like it is brand new and I made it back to work in plenty of time. I have used other car washes in the area and none of them compare in quality of wash or quality of employees. read more

On 12/8/13 I took my Lexus GS for a touch-free car wash at Scrub - A - Dub's Shrewsbury, MA location. There are two touch-free wash bays at this location. After entering the first wash bay the machine sprayed soap on my vehicle and then failed to complete the wash any further. At the direction of the manager I then proceeded to the second touch-free wash bay. Shortly after the wash began the wash arm impacted my front bumper and left scratches and chipped paint off my vehicle. The wash was witnessed on camera by the on-site manager and there was not a question as to what had occurred. I filled out a customer service report and during the week I went to my Collision Center and received an $860 estimate to repair the damage. I provided the estimate to the manager, as requested by Scrub - A - Dub and I also left a message at the corporate headquarters. Not only is the car wash unwilling to directly reimburse for me for the damage, both the folks at headquarters and the local wash were rude and not accommodating given the circumstances. Scrub - A - Dub has a guarantee of quality that protects vehicles for damages, except for antenna and roof racks, and this is obvious damage to the front bumper of my vehicle that was witnessed by the manager. I wanted to be sure to share this experience that the wash is not safe for vehicles and that management is not honoring their quality guarantee. I will now be filing a claim with my insurance company who will then go after Scrub - A - Dub directly for all damages. Interestingly enough the auto wash bay at this location also damaged the alloy wheels of a previous vehicle I owned. I gave Scrub - A - Dub every opportunity to step up and do the right thing and clearly they failed across the board. CAR OWNERS BEWARE... read more

The customer service is great here. If you're coming in the main entrance off of Route 9 though, you miss any directional signs for which type of car wash is where. I wanted a full service & couldn't find it. I went through the touch-free car wash instead, which was completely useless and my car was still dirty afterwards... read more

I pulled up to the Shewsbury ScrubaDub today and the attendant noticed that my car was covered in baked on caterpillar poop. These Caterpillar droppings required a pressure washer to remove them - the attendant escorted me to a washing station and proceeded to spray my entire car off for free... I then went around and went through the normal car wash area. I have not seen such kindness and consideration in quite some time. I would highly recommend this car wash, not only did they go above the call of duty (or doody - lol) but my car hasn't shined like this in quite some time! read more
