They pointed out many wonderful things apart from the many beautiful sharks, like a large sea turtle, baracutas, lobsters, huge crabs, eels, and we saw huge schools of fish and coral. Great visibility today. They also sent us a lovely video of the dive afterward! The only challenging part for me is that both my husband and I apparently get really sick on small fishing boats so I recommend being prepared and taking Dramamine (or alternative) long enough before your dive, even if you haven't been seasick in 10 years (me), and are on the fence as to whether or not to prepare in this way. Take the Dramamine. We will be more prepared next time. We are looking forward to booking with Island Scuba again. Very wonderful once-in-a -lifetime experience. The sessions ranged from one-on-one classes in the pool to excursions with two instructors for five beginners at Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla. After Crash Boat, diving instructor Jose Franco stopped at a food truck, where we had a feast of ribs, roast chicken, cassava, and rice. It was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go on the boat. We contacted them well in advance to schedule a dive and spoke with the owner several times by phone. We even stopped by the shop to get fitted for our gear and provide our sizes. The staff in the store was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and we appreciated the time they took to assist us. After weather affected the original plans, the owner explained the situation and told us he would contact us to reschedule. Unfortunately, we never received a follow-up call or text, despite waiting to hear back. We completely understand that weather is beyond anyone's control and that it was a busy week, but a simple message letting us know the status or that they couldn't accommodate us would have been greatly appreciated. Good communication is especially important for visitors who have a limited time to enjoy their vacation. We were genuinely looking forward to diving with Blue Water Scuba, which makes the lack of follow-up even more disappointing. We hope they can improve their communication and follow-up process because the staff we met in person made a great first impression.

As long as 15 people are on the tour, they will take you to your Calebra. If less than 15 you stay local! There were well over 15 so we were able to tour Calebra. It was so beautiful! Once you get there, they pick you up on a ferry to take you to the boat . The boat travels for about an hour before getting to a private island and that is where you get the guided snorkeling or diving tour depending on what you selected! My friends and I did the snorkeling. As someone who can't swim (I know I know lol) I had a great time. The tour guides were very informative and helpful for all ages and swim levels. They do provide fruit, cold cut sandwiches and rum punch and when you stop . If you're looking for a "party" boat then this may not be for you. Don't expect lots of liquor and twerking etc it's a family type tour, Some of my friends were a bit disappointed by the price expecting that we'd stop somewhere that had a bar and restaurant but it was just a private island (we're in our high 20s low 30s). So idk I think it depends on your expectations but I was okay with everything and the service was great!

We were told we had to first buy and complete the course work through PADI and from There they would do the water/ dive sessions and compete the certification. The shop also gets a kick back from Padi as work since it makes u select a dive shop where ur course work is sent to. Once we complete the course work, we each reached out to the dive shop about 2 - 1 1/2 weeks in advance to schedule the dates and times for the water sessions. We did not receive any type of response back from the shop. We attempted to message on whatsup as requested but still did not receive a confirmation or any type of communication. We called down to the shop, where we were told to just text them. We again tried to text the shop but did not receive any response. We flew to San Juan and arrived and immediately went to the shop, we were told to text them and they would get back to us.. we asked directly if they had availability and we were told they would check and get back to us via text.... A day goes by, we attempt to call and no response.. fully we get a text saying they are fully committed...... This was without doubt the worst type of un-reliable customer service and a refusal to communicate.. I would not trust this dive shop or operation. They should never have told us to use to do the course work with their shop and then refuse to complete our certification. Luckily Scuba Dogs next door came to our rescue when we told them about the horrible customer service we received. Just be aware this shop will not be reliable.

Throughout the tour, she let us enjoy our time and worked to educate us about the area and the various species we saw. I had such an enjoyable experience, I felt well prepared by the time we walked into the ocean and felt supported by her throughout the snorkeling session. *Read before booking* Make sure you book your dive before…read more2pm the previous day. Anything booked after 2pm will not be seen by the dive shop. They close at 2pm and will not check their emails until the next day. I was told this over the phone by their staff. They said they will try to update the site to say this (who knows how long that will take). I made a reservation the day prior at 6pm for a morning dive at 8:30am. I have made many evening reservations before at other dive centers, and I have never had a problem. I received a confirmation email with instructions to show up at 8am for the dive. Unfortunately, no one showed up. I waited until 9:30am and did not see a soul. I ultimately received an apologetic phone call at 10:30am where the employee subsequently informed me of the 2pm rule. I am sure this dive center gives amazing dives. However, it is a shame that such a great dive shop has such a misleading platform that lets you reserve a dive that may not be available. I sincerely hope this review helps them add a line on their website that warns users from reserving dives after they close at 2pm.
