There were 540 store locations found throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The stores are mainly located in shopping malls, like this one at Broward Mall. The store is loaded with an impressive high wall of soccer balls and basketballs which seem to be the focal point upon entering. It was very quiet and lots of staff but no greeting which is a first. The wife actually confronted staff at the register to direct us to a specific area. The found a FL Panthers common T-shirt that she liked but at an astounding $40.00 she put it back on the table.

I thought to myself "no need to drive to Lou's police supply or Nexus since this place is right here!" So I made the effort today to walk in with the hopes of meeting a friendly staff and get to know them as well as see what the shop has to offer. So I walked in and there was an older gentleman at the counter helping someone and I decided to just look around the store and see all they had to offer. Decent selection of things but nothing crazy. I strolled the store a bit and from my peripherals could tell I would being looked at, rightfully so, it's a shop with firearms and no one knows me so didn't bother me too much. So I walk to the counter area and start looking around and waiting to ask the gentleman some questions about the CWP class for my wife. The guy asked " hey can I help you?" And I said yes but I will wait until you are done with that customer. I did that because I wanted to respect the time he was giving the customer that was there before me and spending his money in their store. As soon as the customer left I knew exactly what kind of conversation this was going to be and I knew exactly what was going to happen. Unfortunately I was profiled by the older gentleman working there and he already had it set in his mind how he was going to treat me before I even got to the counter. I was not dressed inappropriately or suspicious or with my pants hanging off of my rear end. But I'm guessing my age (27) bald head and beard made the person feel uncomfortable. I asked about the classes for my wife and then after tried to engage in friendly conversation asking how long they have been there because I've never seen the shop there and honestly just trying to be friendly with the person as you would in any other small family owned businesses. But that's not this places MO at all.The employee was very short with me and you can tell he had no interest in carrying conversations. Just straight and to the point and looking at me in a weird way. I have pretty good discernment of people and situations and trust me he was uncomfortable or something but the way he was treating me said it all. I guess my expectations were too high coming in. I was hoping to make this the new spot to purchase all of my sporting needs but there is a reason why places like Nexus are one of the few 5 star Ranges in the USA as well as places like Lou's police supply who I purchased my first firearm from will always get my business. Because the moment I walk into those places I am treated like a human being not profiled because I'm young with a beard. I will continue to shop at those places and gladly pay more money to take my wife to get her CWP from Nexus and purchase her firearm somewhere else. Some words of advice here, please don't profile a person for the way they look because I might be the person spending my hard earned money in your store to put food on your plate.

I highly recommend going to Maria, the (Lead Cashier) at the Lauderdale store. Maria is very efficient, patient, friendly, kind & always making my thrifting experience pleasant & fun. Working in customer service is never an easy task but the fact the Maria can provide phenomenal customer service, and the ability to manage difficult and rude customers while always remaining calm, profession and smiling is her virtue. I LOVE this location and only come to this location because of Maria plus thrill of thrifting is to find unusual and unique pieces that you wouldn't find anywhere else. After waiting about 20 minutes in the 7-items-or-less checkout line, cashier Noemi refused the sale claiming there was "no price" despite the visible handwritten $5 marking. What was more frustrating was that she took the item from me, brought it to the back to the manager, then returned without the item and both refused the sale. The item was already damaged and labeled AS IS, so the refusal made little sense. Very poor communication and customer service experience, especially after the long wait. Disappointing experience over a $5 item that was clearly marked. Not coming back again.
