Wish I could give this place 10/5 stars, they were extremely fast and affordable. I brought my computer in to Sam after I messed it up trying to install a CPU myself. He identified that there was thermal paste in the motherboard and made sure everything else was still working. He replaced my motherboard and also installed a new graphics card and power supply I bought, and it all came out to 110 dollars. For the amount of work he did I felt this was more than reasonable. Sam was also very communicative, texting me as he was working on my PC to give me updates. And the service was very fast. I dropped off my parts and he texted me a few hours later saying it was ready for pick up the next day. Definitely come here for your PC repairs. I know I'll be back if I have any issues read more

Such great service. My computer was running very slowly and I expected to have to pay over $200 and wait a day or two. Sam helped me today and was fantastic. instead of making me wait he fixed my computer right on the spot, fixed my keyboard, updated all my drivers, and got rid of the malware that was slowing down my computer. He even recommended and install better ones. All for $100! This is what I call great service. And Sam is a really good guy as well. So please don't go there because I want to keep them a secret... This is a small family business that has been here for years. The service prices were extremely fair/reasonable. I needed help downloading a Microsoft Office Suite to a new computer. All my questions were answered in a way that I could understand. I was so impressed with the service that I returned with two other computers that needed service. Sam put a new hard drive in my PC and it made a huge improvement in speed and performance. About a month later, I brought him my iMac which also needed a new larger capacity hard drive and upgraded memory. It was a difficult data transfer job as my back up was not up to date as I thought it was. He was able to get everything transferred from the old hard drive and really went above and beyond to be sure everything was working properly. My laptop's charging port stopped working. It looked frayed and the charging cord no longer connected properly. I took my computer to BestBuy geek squad and the person I met with said it was connected to the mother board, and since it required soldering I had to send it to Dell and it would take several weeks and probably be $500. Which I thought seemed odd. I started looking around for someone local and chose SD Computer Repair because they were close to me and had excellent reviews. Sam told me to bring it in and said he could absolutely fix it and it would be done in one day for $100. He also said the mother board had no part in this, which I suspected. In the past I took my Lenovo laptop for repair at SD Computer Repair and found that they were highly knowledgeable and competent with reasonable costs. My 5-year-old 2016 Macbook Pro screen recently went dark, but still works using an external monitor. This problem happened 2 year ago while it was still under manufacturer's warranty. I was told it is now outside the manufacturer's warranty. So I came to SD Computer Repair. Adel with a baby in her arm, informed me that there might be a recent recall for this system defect. She confirmed this on Apple's website and said this would be free repair under Apple's recall program. I am very grateful that she truly places customers' interest first. Who does not want to make money? After receiving her information, I went straight to Apple UTC store and explained to Apple's technician the backlight issue, which happened before and was repaired two years old. Apparently the fix was inadequate and triggered as a product recall. Apple accepted my Macbook Pro, pending internal approval for a second repair outside the warranty. I received a call from Apple a day later confirming that my 5-year-old Macbook Pro will be repair for free under Apple's recall program. Through my multiple hands-on experience, I am convinced that SD Computer Repair not only possesses superior technical know-how on laptops and computers, but also more importantly, places customer's interest and trust FIRST. Excellent service, came in with my laptop which had a dead SSD, was given a diagnosis very quickly and the tech got to work on it asap. I got text updates on the progress of the repair. I even was able to buy my own parts (a new 1 TB SSD instead of the cheap 128GB one that the manufacturer installed) and it was installed for me the same day! Only took a couple of hours to get everything fixed and it's like I have a new laptop after not being able to use it for months. The owner is very professional and great. I had two issues. The first one was a common issue with laptops, opening and closing it sometimes breaks the back of it. He ordered the part needed and took less than a day to put it together. The 2nd issue was a couple of days later. My laptop was not turning on and he took it right away and thirty minutes later, he got it working. The owner is very knowledgeable about everything really. The place is small and I think he runs it with his family so I would go there early if I were you. They open at 10am. read more

Sam did a FANTASTIC job on my Dell computer. An overnight update from Microsoft trashed my workstation. I was met with my passwords not working and a message to link to my Microsoft account to have a code texted to my cell phone just so I could access the desktop. Microsoft had replaced my default Firefox browser with Microsoft Edge. When I started Firefox, all my links with passwords had disappeared. Sam was able to fix it all. He is amazing. This place was a bit difficult to find using my car's gps but I'm glad I persisted (btw, turn in driveway just pas Starbucks and drive straight to where there's a second floor of shops and you'll see it perched up there to the right of the staircase)! Small, family-run computer shop that is reasonable, honest and technically proficient. I took in my 8 year old laptop inherited from my daughter that was VERRRY slow and had sticking keys. I was quoted less than $300 for a new replacement keyboard and 1TB hard drive, with the additional service of moving all my files to an external drive and then replacing them on the new one. In the process of repairing, my motherboard went bad. They ordered a replacement motherboard that still didn't work, so needed to purchase another one. It took a little longer than originally expected, and when I went to pick it up, I offered to pay for the new motherboard and they wouldn't let me pay any more than my original quoted price. While repairing the laptop, he also noticed my old dysfunctional battery was swelling and offered to replace it for $40 including labor. I now have a "new" computer that's screaming fast for $300. When I went in to pick up that computer, I brought my other computer that I was concerned had been hacked. He ran some diagnostics for me and was able to assure me that there wasn't a problem. The cost for that? NOTHING - no extra charge. What a gem of an establishment! read more

Our MicroSD errored out in the middle of our road trip. We reached out to a couple data recovery spots when we got home. We called SD Computer Repair as they were opened on Saturdays. I was looking all over for a good place to bring my 2012 iMac so I could get an SSD installed. I found a number of places offering to do it for $200-$250 and one place that could do it for $120 but they'd have to order the part and it would take a week. I contacted SD computer repair and they told me they could do it in one day for $150. I was very happy about this- I took in my iMac and dropped it off in the afternoon on a Friday and it was done by Saturday morning. The work they did was great- the screen looks just like it did (no issues with the adhesive, no dead pixels or anything) and my SSD is super speedy. I would definitely recommend these guys and gals if you need any computer work done. They even loaded the latest version of MacOS for me despite me offering to do it myself to save time. They were very friendly and courteous and I will use them again for any future needs! read more

Finals are coming up and my MacBook decided it wanted to die during finals week. I didn't have the cash to just up and buy another laptop. I found this gem via Yelp and decided to take the drive. It was about 4pm on a Tuesday and walked in. I was greeted by a very professional woman who was extremely knowledgeable. I told her what happen and she it was probably the hard drive but that she would let me know. By 8pm that night I received a text on what was wrong and I was given a choice on differently priced hard drives. I chose one for a decent price and was texted that very next morning at 8am, letting me know my laptop was ready for pick up!! I went in, a gentleman explained everything to me, showed me everything worked, I paid and was out the door in less than five minutes. My laptop is reborn and faster than ever. Sam diagnosed my laptop problem quickly and took care of isolating the update that caused it. He restored it to full functionality and advised me on proper settings to avoc the problem in the future. His price was very reasonable. The service was prompt and thorough. Well, Sam did it again with my mother's Dell all on one computer. It had spent 4 weeks at Office Depot where they ultimately couldn't do anything, saying that Windows 10 had locked the operating system down due to ransomeware. Sam was able to pull all of the documents and media files onto an external hard drive, wipe the disk clean, reinstall an OEM version of Windows 7 (machine is incompatible with 10), transfer the docs and media files back to their original folders, clean and test all functions.
