Seals around the door discolored. Not indicative of a new car

Update: 9 months later and this remains the worst car-buying experience of my life. I was charged for a brand-new vehicle that was clearly used as a tester. Transparency and honesty are basic expectations when someone is making such a major purchase, and neither was provided here. I will never be content or satisfied with how I was treated. The so-called remedies offered do not come close to resolving what happened. Customers deserve respect and dignity, and I did not receive either. If what I am saying were not true, why did the salesperson who sold me this car literally sink down in her seat when she saw me later? Why would she try to hide? The answer is simple. She knew what was done was wrong, and so did her manager. Let us talk about the facts: * I paid for a brand-new car, yet the value dropped by over $12,000 shortly after purchase, with only about 3,000 miles on it. * A Carfax report indicated the car should have had about 700 miles at the time of sale. * The brakes have made noise since early on: crunching, squeaking, and grinding when engaging and disengaging. This is not what anyone expects from a vehicle sold as brand new with no prior use. I do not accept the explanation that this is normal. I do not accept that this is acceptable. I absolutely do not accept being misled. At this point, the next step is filing complaints with the appropriate agencies. I would strongly advise anyone considering this dealership to do serious research and ask very direct questions before signing anything. Transparency matters. Honesty matters. What happened here was neither.

Subject: Disappointing Experience with My Recent Car Purchase at Paragon Honda Dear Paragon Honda Team, I recently purchased my fourth car from Paragon Honda. The salesperson, Fayyad, assured me that the car was certified, accident-free, had its original paint, and a clean CarFax report. I trusted them because I had a good relationship with them. I also asked Finance Manager Sammy, and he confirmed the same information. Because of this trust, I did not even test drive the car when they told me, "I got you. Don't worry." I felt blessed to have friends like them. Before taking delivery, I asked Fayyad why the car wasn't washed. He said it had been washed the previous day. However, I know that at a dealership, even if a car was washed before, it should always be rewashed before delivery. That is standard practice. Since I have worked at a car dealership, I tried to be understanding. I originally saw the car listed online for $27,000, but after a few days, the price dropped to $26,000. However, Sammy told me the car's actual price was over $35,000, which was more expensive than a brand-new one. He said that $27,000 was already a good deal for me. I understood they also needed to earn their commission, so I went ahead with the purchase, even though the price had dropped to $26,000 online. Unexpected Charges and Misleading Promises Sammy told my brother that he would give me unlimited miles and years of warranty for electric components, cosmetic issues, transmission, engine, etc., for free because we were friends. I told him that unlimited miles for 10 years was already more than enough for me. I was happy with that. I purchased the car on September 21, 2024, and Sammy told me my first payment would be due on November 21st. Unfortunately, this was a lie--I had to start paying on October 8th. Again, I tried to be understanding. Later, I discovered that he had charged me $3,200 or $3,800 for the "guaranteed unlimited miles until 2030" warranty. When I confronted him about this, he denied it, but it was clearly listed in my paperwork. Again, I tried to understand his situation. Major Issues with the Car Since I still had another car, I did not use this one immediately. However, after my other car broke down, I started using it--and many problems appeared: 1. The steering wheel shakes on the highway. 2. The driver-side door leaks when it rains. Water splashes inside. 3. Color differences indicate that at least four doors and the bumper have been repainted. 4. The car was involved in an accident before (which was not disclosed to me). I called Fayyad, but he said he did not know anything about it. I told him about the paint issues, and he did not respond. I then asked Sammy, but he also said he did not know. Finally, I spoke with Manager Alie, and he was at least honest with me. He said: * This car is NOT certified. * It was sold "As-Is." * If the dealership guarantees 100% condition, they must charge the customer extra. Marley from Paragon Honda Service confirmed the same thing and even said the car had been in an accident before--even though it does not show up on the CarFax report. Several mechanics at Paragon Honda Service also confirmed that the car had been repainted. Even my personal mechanic agreed. Lack of Transparency and Accountability As a salesperson, Fayyad should have known the car's condition before selling it to a customer. He should have been honest about whether the car was Certified Pre-Owned or "As-Is." Instead, when I asked, he said he didn't know and told me to ask Sammy, the Finance Manager. When I asked Sammy, he said, "I'm just the finance guy. I don't know the car's condition." If no one knows, why didn't you tell me the truth from the beginning? After a few months, I finally realized that they were just making excuses. Is This Worth Losing a Long-Term Customer? My question is simple: Is it worth damaging our years-long friendship over $27,000? For me, it is not worth it at all. Money can always be earned back, but you cannot buy trust and friendship. Paragon Honda is mostly honest with customers, but please, do not deceive loyal customers like me. I am a repeat customer, and I have brought you new customers as well. But I see now that you don't care, because you are busy and have plenty of customers. I hope you take this feedback seriously. Best regards,

My car!! Dealer discount on their website was all real!!

Shout out to Anthony and Daniel for their amazing service. I couldn't have been helped by any one better. Keep being amazing and keep giving excellent service. There's nothing better than a dealer who keeps it real and talks to you like a person. Will definitely return!

Any tips/advices for people looking to lease?

Just like for any car dealers I'd say do your homework/research before you go. Otherwise you'll be eaten alive. Compare prices online so you know what to expect and make counter offers.

Would you share your experience buying a certified pre-owned Honda Accord from Paragon Honda? Are the cars listed online in inventory and available at the listed prices? Any problems with the cars post purchase?

I paid the $4,000 to keep in good standing with the financial department used by Jeep. So I already felt sad about the new car. They are very rude, inappropriate, lying and the most manipulative business out there. So here's my story: I financed a 2007 Toyota Yaris for a ridiculous price (it was my own fault, it was my first car buy and I didn't know any better). I also bought a $1595 warranty along with the car through Mayor's Auto Mall through a company called Driver'z Edge. FOUR MONTHS later, the car was no longer in my possession and I wanted to cancel the warranty. I spoke to my insurance company and they said that I could get a refund for the warranty that I never used. Perfect! I can get my money back. I went into Mayor's Auto Mall and asked for a refund, they denied and me told me that I couldn't get it back b/c I signed a contract that said there is a cancellation fee on the refund that's worth more than the warranty price. I asked for proof of documentation. Steph, one of the manager's (can't miss him-a guy with a blonde pony tail and manicured nails) kept stalling and told me the documents were locked away and I couldn't have it. So I called Driver'z Edge to demand the refund straight from the source. Driver'z Edge had NO RECORD of my contract from Mayor's Auto Mall. That means that they either never sent in my contract on purpose, and pocketed all the warranty money themselves or they just forgot to send in the contract. Either case, this is completely their fault and I DESERVE every cent of my money back. I paid them $1595 to complete a service that they did not Fulfill in their end. So duh, I deserve every cent of my money back. But of course, as conniving, wicked and evil as this company is, they did everything in their power to not give me the money. They LIED and told the warranty company that I canceled the warranty before they submitted it to them. (remember, i canceled the contract 4 months later-shouldn't Mayor Auto Mall have sent the contract WAY before the deal was made?) I caught them LYING! Then they claimed that now all of a sudden they have to send the money to the bank and not in my hands b/c I financed it. (BUT THE FINANCE WAS ALREADY ALL PAID FOR!) So DUH the check was returned back to them and now all they needed to do was write the check under my name. Except they didn't want to give it to me. I called almost every day demanding my money back but of course as wicked as they are, they never picked up and always asked for my name before forwarding me to the right person. But oh, coincidently after I mentioned my name, Steph would always be too busy every single time to talk to me. I am still a customer and as wrong as they are they have the audacity to treat me very rude, hang up on me multiple times and even said I have no life b/c I kept calling. Well obviously, if you guys stole money from me, I will call you guys in an attempt to retrieve it back....idiots. And maybe if you gave me my money...I would stop calling....but they are dumb so they did not see that correlation as clear as I did. Naturally I got upset so I decided to take legal actions and announced that I would sue them. AND OH, all of a sudden my check came in the mail 2 days later coincidently. (not a mix up at the post office b/c it was postmarked and dated) When I received the check, they SHORTED me!!!!! Another attempt to try to salvage whatever money they stole from me. I called but what can I do! They wanted nothing to do with me. So I decided to continue with the lawsuit to get back every cent of my money back. During court they claimed that the reason why they shorted me was b/c the warranty was a pro rated amount. BUT HOW CAN YOU CHARGE ME A PRO RATED AMOUNT FOR A SERVICE YOU NEVER COMPLETED?! They never sent in my warranty contract so the contract is indefinitely not valid. Kudos to you Mayor's Auto Mall for having the balls to show up at court to fight an argument that you guys were destined to lose. Justice prevails and the court ruled in my favor! So I have won the full amount AND they are forced to pay me back the court fee :) Life is good. LESSON learned....NEVER trust Mayor's Auto Mall. They are scammers and will not own up to their mistakes. By the way! I believe I tarnished their image so much they changed their store name to CITY MITSUBISHI. It is still located in the same address and it is still under the SAME management. So watch out! Even though they are under a different name it is still run under the same management.

Even though my lease is closed with major world and I returned it. I am still getting phone calls…read morefrom this place asking if I returned the car. I guess it's hard with so many different lots taking car of seperate business communication can be lost somewhere but it is frustrating as the one responsible for payments as you can imagine. Midway through my lease I went to talk to the dealer who dealt with me, they said he is no longer with us, I explained the situation I was in and they laughed and said this is why that particular dealer is no longer working with them. I realized no one is willing to help so I kept my lease till its end. I return it in December 2019. Again, still getting calls from major world asking if its returned. The loan company says the dealership told them I returned it but they didnt provide any other information they need to give me a closing bill and it's difficult for the loan company to get ahold of anyone to find out for example who accepted keys, how many miles and date of return. So keep receipts! On the plus side every employee is nice to meet and talk to. They were quick to help me because of my credit. But trully it's a business with a purpose to sell and deal cars. I thank them for their service...
