This review isn't for the Sea Eagle Market although we regularly shop at the Ribaut Rd.location and have only the best things to say. This review is for both the Sea Eagle shrimp boat cruise and the Sea Eagle oyster roast/BBQ. We recently employed Sea Eagle to do both on different nights for wedding parties and I can't say enough about the quality, friendliness, cleanliness, and accommodation of Craig and the rest of his crews. I would wholeheartedly employ them again. We are fortunate to have them here in Beaufort. read more

Good southern seafood. I had the fried oysters and hushpuppies with a side of coleslaw and green beans. The green beans were slow cooked southern style and delish. The coleslaw was very creamy. The oysters, if a bit on the small side, were fried to perfection, and they had their own house-made cocktail sauce which was chunky and spiced just right. The hush puppies were great - regular southern style non-sweet hushpuppies. Sometimes it is hard to find hushpuppies that aren't loaded with sugar or full of big chunks of onions. These had neither, were fried just a tad over-long to make them incredibly crunchy. Quite a tasty lunch, and I will be back if in the area. read more

Yummolicious!!!! Shrimp was moist fresh and tender....scallops to die for...seafood chowder scrumptious . Great great waitress!!!!Bought some red snapper and shrimp at retail side and well...they have a new customer for life!!! Only criticism is the service at the retail was nowhere near as friendly and accommodating as the restaurant. Oh well... read more

As part of a reunion of Navy Corpsmen in Beaufort, we planned a Low Country Boil the last Sunday we were together. Since most seafood markets are closed on Sundays, we went to Sea Eagle mid morning on Saturday. Walking inside the fairly nondescript building one is immediately reminded that this place sells fish and pretty much ONLY fish and seafood. We were waited on by a young man who answered every one of our questions. We ended up buying almost 10 pounds of very fresh local shrimp and a couple dozen live local blue crabs. In addition we bought some salmon that was very fresh looking. Behind the counter were several men cleaning some really nice looking local fish. The young man carefully bagged the crabs and filled our ice chest with ice to keep everything fresh until the next day. We ended up buying a few packages of their home made shrimp/crab boil seasoning, which proved to be excellent. Although I cannot compare this market to any of the others in Beaufort, it certainly seemed authentic, clean and provided excellent service. read more

Well prepared typical seafood shack freshly done to order. We had gumbo and it was great. Not salty at all and it had swordfish and shrimp in it! Steamed shrimp were great and I had a soft shell crab which was fried very nicely. Brussels sprouts were good. Red rice was just OK. I'd recommend the place but people need to know it is a market so they should expect a little "fish" aroma when entering. It is what it is but it is good. read more

It's just perfect for me. I like the fried shrimp on ceaser salad. Quick friendly service. Clean place all good.

Fried shrimp was delicious, however French fries were cold and soggy. Not at all as I had asked for them to be cooked. On the crispy side. It seems as if they were sitting under a warming lamp. Fries were recooked but came out after I had eaten the rest of my dinner. Server was attentive and very concerned that we were happy. I will return with the hope that someone is cooking. read more

Oysters! I recently purchased a bushel of oysters from sea eagle. The staff were courteous and allowed me to inspect the bushel before buying. They were fairly clean and the tag on the bushel had a harvest date of the night before, fresh! The oysters were delicious raw and steamed and the sizes were perfect, mostly singles. They also had a military discount, kudos! The full bushel of quality oysters was around $30. Would recommend to anyone looking for good oysters. read more

We were disappointed with the new location on St Helena Island. You would think that just by the shrimp boats in season the shrimp would be FRESH. They were NOT. The Market constituted a row of coolers. If you patronize this business, use the Beaufort location. read more

Loved this place! Clean and prices are hard to beat! Seafood was fresh!!!

WE got a bushel of blue crabs along with fresh shrimp and it was all superb. I am from the Chesapeake Bay area and know my steamed crabs and these were worth the drive from Hilton Head. Don't go there though since crabs are fairly scarce and I want them more than you do. read more
