Cute! Convenient! Amazing Pecan coffee! Drive thru for your caffeine fix! Next time you are on the island, try it! I'm trying the biscuit and gravy or muffins next time! We were in a hurry to catch the yummy coffee before closing time!

Cute drive thru; service was slow but it seemed that our food was made fresh, and tasted delicious!

Perfect lattes and delicious breakfast burritos, served up by the friendliest husband and wife duo on the Gulf Coast.

It felt kind of cluttered. I expect they must have a patio setup on nicer days, but on this day all that equipment was taking up all the space right inside the front entrance. I'm not much on sweets. I can be talked into an interesting cookie, but this was not the place I expected and I don't think they sold cookies or interesting milk flavors from what I could tell. They do sell sketchy looking hot dogs and pizza. I'm not sure who orders that. It seems like they specialize in ice cream. I tried one flavor and it was pretty sweet for me. I'm not much on sweets so that's not hard to do for me. I stood around letting my wife pick her flavor. I would have waited outside given how cramped the space felt, but it was pouring rain. My wife mentioned the place has artwork and stuff. I didn't see that and didn't know to expect it. I also heard there is a wine bar somewhere on the premise. I may have to come back and give that a try.

He bought from Swede. The new owner made me cry when I went in and saw a piece from my Uncle's store with an original picture framed in the cabinet. He asked I was OK and I told the the memories of the store and where everything was way back when. He was delightful, customer friendly and his customers are like family to him. He has a clean store, well stock shelves and takes pride of his store. I wanted to buy a Zero Sugar Soda drink and a water. He wouldn't let me pay. So, I bought a few Lottery tickets (I never do), but if I won, he would too. It was the least I could do to thank him. Of course, we stop in all the time now. I am glad he is the owner. My Uncle would have been pleased.

Located on the island of Bolivar near Crystal Beach, the store is vintage turquoise. We stopped by to purchase a beach parking pass because you can actually drive on the island beaches. The inside is not fancy, no big box store displays. The lady behind the counter was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She told us how and where to look for sharks teeth on the beach. They sell iced down beer and other beverages perfect for a hot day in Texas. They also are set up with coffee and fountain drinks. We found sand toys and a small amount of fishing gear. There was a limited selection of grocery essentials. And, of course, snack foods. Outside, they sell Shamrock gas. The only rest rooms were a port a potty outside. Oh my! But I still give them 5 stars because they are friendly, had what I needed and took me back to my childhood. A definite oasis near the beach.

This morning I had to get a taste of their coffee cake (because it's one of my favorites) to go alongside my caramel macchiato which I've come to love thanks to my husband. I asked for extra caramel like I usually do but it could have used a bit more caramel. It wasn't sweet at all. The service was great! And so was the food. We also ordered two egg and cheese croissants. The egg is fried which I wasn't expecting but it actually tasted pretty good with the melted cheese. If you're looking for a coffee shop that offers a full menu of food such as burrito's, sandwiches, empanadas, and pancakes, you'll enjoy it here. There's plenty of seating to bring your laptop and get some work done. It's a popular spot so keep that in mind as the tables may all be taken.

Not to worry, from the merch to the pastry case, to the products from local artisans, there's plenty to discover while you wait. I personally visited the morning of the 5th of July, after all of the fourth of July dwellers sobered up and stopped in for some caffeine to fuel the drive home. That being said, I waited quite a while to order, which gave me time to explore the menu...well kind of. Their menu lives on a wall and can be difficult to read from a distance. Additionally, their specials are handwritten at the til. While I'd love a digital copy of their menu for instances like these, I did just fine after exploring various Yelp menu photos. I ended up with a Sabrina on ice, avocado toast, fruity pebbles rice krispy and chocolate chunk cookie. Fair warning, everything in the pastry case looks fresh and homemade, so prepare to treat yourself. Shoutout for their emphasis on vegan and gluten-free offerings. Visually the avocado toast had me worried, but everything bagel seasoning has a way of curing all wrongs, if those "wrongs" in question are bland food. I found myself happily gobbling it down after a few initially hesitant bites. The rice krispy was fine, and I'm looking forward to warming the cookie and reporting back. While I'll go for a more traditional coffee next time, I'll certainly be back. I'm hoping for a smile, greeting, or positive energy from the staff next go around. Fingers crossed.
