You're prices went sky high and yet NOTHING was done that your clients can see. The pool was closed due to a child did #2, baby pool not clean. Lockers are old, rusty and for the price you charge over 10 pls lockers squeezed together in a small shed we all share smells! Nothing painted, the wooden platform to beach broken, 1/2 in the sand, tilted and NOT LONG ENOUGH. Your guest fees went up and so did the prices and it still looks like a sad broken down place! Right off the bat, it is not the most high end beach club. When we sat on the beach there were pistachio shells at our feet. They were there the next day too so not sure if anyone cleans the private beach at all. The service is ok but it took the guy a while to get to us. The drinks they serve you on the beach are served in what looks like a kids sippy cup. The restaurant experience was nice and we sat on the deck when a thunderstorm came. They had a plastics cover in front so the rain couldn't hit you while eating. Nice touch. I ordered the Mahi reuben and loved it. I have never had a reuben like that and it worked. The chicken sandwich had asian flavors and it was fried chicken. It wasn't my favorite and tasted like a frozen chicken patty. Sweet potato fries that came with it were good though. Another negative was that someone was smoking weed around the area and there was no one policing it. Not a pleasant experience. Overall, the beach club is a 3 star spot. It has its positives and negatives but not sure I would be back. read more

Seagate Beach Club is a lovely beach club in Brooklyn with a great family atmosphere. The club area , pool, lockers , facilities , and cabanas are situated in close proximity to the beach. The beach is really comfortable and refreshing with nice fine sand, and is extremely relaxing . The Beach span is not tremendous but more than adequate to play, swim, read, sun tan , and/or just relax. Everyone attending has a really nice time and seems to really love the beach ! The staff is welcoming and helpful. Besides the great beach there are great cabanas with charming set ups and it is a pleasure to see everyone enjoying the setting. This is an aside but the tablecloths used throughout the decks (they are super festive !) Nice Club! Thank you seagate beach club! This place is at best incompetently run and at worst is a criminal enterprise. They have essentially stolen $3000 from my husband and me. Here's the situation: on the last day of June (three months ago), we decided to visit and consider membership. We were told that it was not possible to buy a day pass, so if we wanted to spend the day there, we'd have to purchase a membership for $3000. However, we had the option of canceling within 3 days if we didn't like the place. (This is actually a requirement under NY law for all contracts for services - they have to have a 3 day cancellation option.) We spent the afternoon there and we were not impressed. The place is overrun, hectic, and not tidy. Smoking is permitted so much of the property reeks. It is also extremely disorganized; when we stopped by the office before leaving to confirm the process for cancellation, someone told us "just a minute" and then proceeded to disappear behind a closed door and get into a screaming fight with several colleagues. We decided we definitely weren't interested in being members. None of this, however, is what leads me to write this review. Rather, it's the fact that - three months after we canceled, and having spent countless hours of our lives on the issue - we still have not gotten our money back. Within the 3 day window, we called, emailed, and sent a letter by *certified mail.* We first heard back quickly and someone named John said that we'd get our refund. When that hadn't happened after a couple weeks, we followed up, but hit a wall: there was no response to our repeated calls and emails. Over Labor Day weekend, we finally connected with a person named Barbara, who claimed to never have heard about the situation before, and who asked for the "cabana number" associated with the membership we bought, because otherwise "how was she supposed to find our contract." (We provided the cabana number, but I'll just note that apparently this business, in 2018, does not have the ability to search its members by last name.) She said she'd take care of it, too, but she didn't. More recently, still another person reached out and told us he'd provide the refund by September 28, but now that date has come and gone with no refund. My husband and I are both lawyers so the last thing we feel like dealing with in our free time is a lawsuit, but we've been left with no choice and are planning to file suit in small claims court. The whole thing makes me suspicious of the "no day pass" policy: it may be a practice for this club to simply steal the membership fees of those who exercise their cancellation rights. So Seagate Beach Club: mediocre facilities, poor management, will steal your money. Stay far away. read more

Umm if you hate the beach at coney island or Brighton just like me, then this beach club offers your summer get away for a fee. But if you know the right people you can have access to a quick getaway to paradise for all Bensonhurst residences! Really nice equipped with pool, private beach, music and etc.. Disgusting place!!! The New Manager is very nasty!! I asked him a question about what do we get for the money we pay to join next year and he said that I SEEM unhappy and he threw me out. They only gave me half credit back. How does he know how I feel??? The owners last year were very nice and the Club was GREAT!!! PS- The Manager also discriminates. We were supposed to have a DJ on Sunday but since he couldn't make it Saturday for the Sea Gate community he made him go to the Sea Gate section. I told him it's not fair and he went crazy. You're better off going to another Beach Club where you'll be treated right!!! read more

This beach-club has the amenities of a resort and its right in here in NYC, Seagate beach club has a beautiful pool and a clean beach. there are life guards always on duty so no worries. read more

It's small and crowded. The cabanas are storage sheds (post Sandy) and they look and are treated like it. Kinda looks like shed city. There are no free or discounted pass days -- they charge the same for a 6 year old as an adult. The crowd appears to have been here for decades and holding onto every beach chair or scrap of pool real estate they can. The beach is small and with the government work being done nearby anything but relaxing (cranes dropping rocks, etc. - not the fault of the club but still something to be aware of); the pool basically has no designated swim lane or times and no adults only time (when the swim lane is in effect it's 3 feet wide and blocked with non-swimmers). The staff performs when asked but typically not before that. There is street parking and lot parking (some non-valet spots available); the lot is 2 blocks away. There is no orientation for new members. On the plus side it's nice to have someone fetch chairs and set up umbrellas for tip money and the private beach does lend to some level/sense of increased safety[, but it's still pretty crowded, if not with sun bathers than with rows of 10 empty beach chairs and umbrellas set up waiting for cabana users to show up]. That being said don't leave anything of value unattended (even in the non-beach areas) - there are some members who will quickly appropriate your belongings. Update: There apparently is a free day depending on your cabana/locker number; however this goes to my pet peeve about my time here and that is: communication. All activity listings are done on a daily basis by whiteboard at the gate entrance. Most recently the decision to charge holiday guest fees on the pre-labor day Friday was announced this way sometime after Tuesday. It's just embarrassing to show up with guests and be told it's double what you were expecting ($20 pp more). There's Facebook, the Club's website and email in 2015 to communicate with members to keep them informed, which basically costs nothing but is so beneficial. So ask, ask and ask again (except don't ask why that single cabana has 30 chairs set up everyday ;)) read more

On Saturday May 25, 2019 my family was at the beach club and it was very dirty the garbage was over flowing by the resturant the owner of the beach club was eating with his family and notice the garbage over flowing and didn't do anything about it. The tables and the floor in front of the resturant was so dirty this place was never like this. the staff at the office are so nasty for no reason. The garbage by beach entrance was all over the floor. The bathroom were so dirty not paper towel in the holder. The board of health should be called and shut them down. read more
