When Ray Cataneo sold this company we all worried because you know how that goes when someone else takes over a company or product usually they make cutbacks on ingredients or change up the recipe. We were elated to learn that they had no intention of changing the recipe and continued the product on even adding more options and branching out into other things like paraphernalia nuts and dried fruits. The Cataneo name has been in good hands and hopefully will be for a long time. There is no jerky or sausage that can beat it in quality. My personal favorite has always been the extra thin cut teriyaki.

I love the ranch ambiance in this shop, which has a lot of attention to detail. It's very cozy and well laid out. It invites you to explore each section of the shop, which features the family cured meat products midway along the left wall facing the checkout counter. What attracted me in, was the local San Luis Obispo SLO T-Shirts and sweatshirts. The clever sayings on their mugs are quite unique and entertaining, perfect gifts for yourself and others.
