Food: menu looked enticing, with a lot of fun options. Decided to try the Lobster Rangoon and Tomato Caprese for apps. The Caprese was good, and a much needed reprieve from the other dishes we ordered. The Rangoon was slightly over baked, although the dipping sauce was a fine complement. Went with the Lobster Nachos for a shared meal. Impressive looking, but once again, it was in the oven a bit too long. Also, while there was a solid amount of lobster thrown in, the toppings were stuck on the top layer, so there were a lot of chips that were plain. The Pain Killer cocktail was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, and the food and drinks were brought to our table quickly. Can't beat the ambiance. Live music and a view of the beach from the third floor. Fun! read more

I have a lot to say about this restaurant. Pros: *I am strictly gluten free as I have celiac disease. I called to confirm they have gluten free options, the operator texted me with the link to the menu which included a wide variety of gluten free options. * the gluten free bun was excellent, the chicken salad sandwich was excellent. * my family liked their food as well, my daughter loved her grilled cheese and my husband had fried shrimp, he's picky about fried food but was very pleased with it. Cons: host was kinda rude but whatever, it's fine. HUGE con! I ordered a gluten free ceaser salad, they brought it out with croutons but the waiter noticed and he sent it back, well, when he brought it back to the table, it was very obvious they had removed the croutons and flipped the salad to a different plate so I wouldn't see all the crumbs on it. Luckily I noticed because I had a feeling it may happened and found all the crumbs at the bottom of the salad. Again, this is a huge thing for me as I can get extremely sick since I have celiac disease. This is extremely unacceptable and upsetting. Sea Ketch was recommended to us by a local. It is centrally located in the most populated section facing the beach. We sat on the second level and later realized that there are even MORE levels to this restaurant. All of them have a lovely view of the oceanfront and we were able to take advantage of the clear, sunny skies. So, an A+ for ambiance, just for the views and location. I started with the clam chowder, which honestly wasn't stellar. The broth was cream-based of course, but tasted only of cream without any seafood flavor. There were clams, but they were small and few. The soup wasn't bad, but not much better than a can of Cambell's clam chowder. I was a bit disappointed that the only size lobster was 1 lb, which is quite small and probably the smallest size lobster than can legally be caught. To put this in context, I have never even seen a lobster smaller than 1 and a quarter pounds. The other option is that you can get "Twin Lobsters" which are just two one-pound lobsters as roughly double the cost. However, on the plus side, the lobster meat was fresh and sweet, so I very much enjoyed the taste of their lobster. My choice side was potato salad and that was very good. My wife had the Ketch Burger which is a burger with American cheese, bacon, served with lettuce, sliced onion, tomato and mayonnaise. I supposed calling it a California burger with bacon would be taboo in Maine. My wife thought it was very good. It came with a side of fries. The service was friendly and efficient. Based on the better than average food, good service, and excellent view, I rated this restaurant at four stars. read more

After viewing the traffic coming into and through town we were so thankful that we stayed within walking distance of everything! You have to sit upstairs, the view of the beach and area is awesome. The staff was prompt, friendly and great with kids. If you don't want to sit outdoors or want to be completely covered they do have a dine in area and a covered bar. Food wise I ordered the Atlantic Sea Scallops - 10oz of locally caught native fresh Atlantic sea scallops. It came with fries and coleslaw. You get around a dozen in your order and they are huge. I'm usually not a big fan of scallops, but I wanted something local so the server recommended them. They didn't disappoint, they were juicy, fresh, lightly breaded and delicious. Drink wise they have just about any adult beverage you would want on a hot day. Cold, frozen, cocktail, wine, seltzer, beer, etc. I enjoyed a refreshing Blueberry ale from Maine. The family enjoyed their meals, my wife had a chicken caesar wrap that was huge, we took half home and my son had a burger off of the kids menu. There were many tempting seafood dishes on the menu. We ordered the fish and chips for my husband (which he has NEVER ordered in his life so it's crazy he went with that), a bowl of chowder and I had the whole belly clams with fries. For starters: BEST clam chowder I've had in a while! It was a total Goldilocks Moment. Not too thick. Not too thin. Chunks of fresh, abundant clams....i could bathe in it! :::drooling::: My clams had pretty darn large bellies and were perfectly fried to perfection. The only thing that kind of ruined the flavor for me was that the oil tasted a little off. Old, maybe? That was my only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Hubby's fish and chips? He RAVED about it. Being that I was already stuffed and almost ALWAYS order this meal- I only had a bite at the very end. I regretted that decision. Because I would have stolen his whole plate! The fish was lightly battered and just crisp enough to let the full flavor of the moist, flaky haddock (I believe) shine through. It was SO fresh! I would absolutely believe it was caught just an hour prior to serving- it was THAT fresh of a catch on his plate. We sat upstairs with a beautiful view of the boardwalk and beach. People were mostly dressed casually, unlike me, who came in in a bathing suit and cover up. At least I wasn't the only one but next time I'll put in more effort on my attire, haha. I have eaten several times at Sea Ketch and the food has always been good as well as the service. Today not so much. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 4 year anniversary. We live in Dracut, MA and I suggested to her to go here. A beautiful day, nice ride up. When we walked in not busy at all, ate on the 2nd floor was seated right away and the waitress came over said would get us water and come back, She did, took our drink order and said would be right back which she did. Took our food order and left. After she let 3 other parties were seated however they did not all come in at the same time. They all ordered drinks of some sort and their orders were taken. A couple that was seated first after us got their food. The 2nd table that had order got their food...one of the persons ordered twin lobsters got their food next and the table that was seated directly behind me got their food. I asked that waitress if she could get our waitress which see did. She said she apologized that we hadn't gotten our food yet but would head down to the kitchen and not leave until she had our order. She did come back and I noticed we both had sweet potato fries and when I said something to her, she said that wasn't right she would go take care of it. I asked to speak to the manager. She came over a few minutes later while I was eating my 4th chicken finger with the fries and told her I didn't want them now. My girlfriend's burger was barely warm. I told the manager that the cooks need to read the tickets and that it was the server's fault. I manager lied because the dinner was also supposed to come with coleslaw, but it didn't. She through our waitress under the bus. She did apologize but that was it...didn't take anything off the bill. This is the last time I go there. read more

Our last night here at Hampton Beach decided to have a proper sit down dinner. Our food was good, nothing spectacular. Came out hot and surprisingly quick. We sat on the second floor outdoor. Has the view of the beach which was nice. Our server Kendall was nice and check in on us. Great location and great views from the roof deck seating upstairs! Live music was great with this guy singing with his guitar. The place was pretty packed when we got there, understandably so as it was peak lunch time around 1:30 on a Saturday at Hampton beach. It took a while before our server even came by, but he was pleasant and service was great. I got the lobster roll 5oz which came on a brioche bun and there was a lot of lobster meat and it was good. Side of potato salad was good too. The hubby got their burger and side of coleslaw. He thought the burger was okay, nothing special. Coleslaw was nice not too much mayo. He also got the painkiller drink and it was good maybe a little strong. The umbrellas provide nice shade and keep it relatively cooler on a warm sunny like it was today. We always end up at the Sea Ketch before we go see a show at either the casino ballroom or Bernie's. My husband loves the colossal lobster roll! It's super big and totally filling. My friends and I popped by Sea Ketch for drinks and apps on Tuesday evening and we loved it. We sat upstairs and there was no wait time. They had live music that we enjoyed and our server came over to us shortly after being seated. My friends ordered a beer, an aperol sprits (she loved), and a strawberry margarita (which she said could've been stronger). We also had mozzarella sticks (SO good, they were crispy and the cheese was melted to perfection), regular fries and sweet potato fries. The food was great and came out quickly. I'm sure this place (and dozens of similar spots on the main "strip") is HOPPING busy during the summer, but we got in and got a primo table pretty quickly on a beautiful, warm October evening. We even found a great nearby parking space, which I'm sure wouldn't be the case during "prime time!!" Super fast, friendly service, all the classic local/regional seafood options, plus some "turf" for the landlubbers. I had to try a lobster roll, since I'd never had one before, but while it was ok, it might not be my first choice if I were to return. Good deal, just a bit too mayo-naisey for my liking. My friends, however, got a great variety of interesting options, including a GF scallop dish, a few tempting salads, and the never regrettable chowder!! It was a cooler evening, but the upstairs patio was covered, heated, and quite comfortable. We were in and out pretty quickly, but never felt rushed, and our waiter did GREAT with our pesky separate checks!! Everyone loves a place like this in the summer time, but I'll take an off season visit to a beach town hot-spot any day of the week!! Large menu with mostly seafood entrees. A little pricey but the food was amazing and the portions were large. I got the lobster formaggio dish and it was so big 3 people could eat it. Sea Ketch Take Out is hidden in plain sight. It's literally underneath the Sea Ketch Restaurant with picnic tables at ground level steps away from the Casino, beach, Village Playground, and amphitheater. The view and people watching is naturally quite excellent, but it's the affordable excellent food that's the draw. Most items are under $10, the exception is the seafood. The menu is so extensive that I must refer you to the photos. The burger was very good and far above fast food grade. It was seared on the outside, and moist on the inside. The bun was fresh, as were the traditional veggies on top. The pricing is far below the Sea Ketch restaurant, as they should be. I'll be back to work through more of the menu. read more

I was impressed for the options for people who do not eat meat. Seems like they had a great beer menu, although at the time of dinning with the family I did not try any beer. Later on I went up the top deck and got a lager beer, it was great! The Buffalo Chicken strips and fries were great and filled with flavor! My husband got the fish and chips and he said it was great. We came here to eat with our mom who flew out of town for her vacation. She is patient so asked us to keep waiting for a waiter to greet us when we got seated. After 25 minutes of us looking around and waitstaff looking at us, no one even acknowledged our presence or asked if we wanted to order drinks. The hostess had not told anyone we were seated. The manager happened to be nearby when we went back to notify the hostess and she took one of our appetizers off after apologizing profusely. We enjoyed the beautiful restaurant with multiple levels for beachside views but with a very similar menu and set up to restaurants on this strip, there were too many to visit and try since nothing we ordered stood out to us. The clam chowder was a little runny and more so broth and potatoes than clam. The best dish was the Alfredo which was saved by the generous portions of seafood. read more
