I will tell you that this place has a lot of great things about it ... Right on the waterfront, the views of ocean and summertime hustle and bustle, and the food is fresh and delicious. If you are thinking of going somewhere though that you can afford on a tight budget, this is not the place. But, if you are willing to pay for the above items like ocean view and good food, then roll in and check it out. This is the only reason it doesn't have 5 stars as I am a dine on a less expensive dimes as a family) Also, don't hesitate to head upstairs and grab a rooftop seat (they also have heated tent structures set in upstairs to make sure that during some of the chillier months, you are comfortable and warm. Sat at the second to top floor on a cool early August evening. Got the Strawberry virgin mojito it was very good, but there's a reason there's no price on the menu for it( it was 8 bucks!) I find that high for some soda water. Also got the double cheeseburger they don't ask how you want it cooked so it comes out well done, although it was well done it was still juicy and the topping and fries were nice. We sat for what seemed like maybe 25 minutes without a sign of our server while we waited for our check, I eventually flagged down a busser and had her bring us the check. Not busy. Seated, but quickly ignored. Waited 10 minutes before we became vocal about ordering. Coffee was the worst I've ever had. Completely watered down. Never asked why I never touched or if anything was wrong. Breakfast came quickly. Both my wife and my eggs were undercooked. I was up charged for a different type of toast. Waited for the bill and ended up flagging down the manager or owner because we were still being ignored. The place was slow and we had zero attention. Their drinks menu and oceanfront atmosphere are outstanding! Gin Lime Rickey is refreshing without being overly sweet. Espresso martini, very tasty. Our server was great too. Came 2nd weekend they were open and got to sit with ocean view. We got lobster rangoons, Caesar steak top salad and a burger. All food was great. The rangoons didn't have a lot of lobster but they still tasted great with cream cheese. My salad was fantastic. Flavorful marinated steak tips melted in your mouth. The fried basket was good fish wasn't over cooked and super fresh. The chicken salad was a little plain but they packed it so I finished only half. The pasta salad was really mushy and felt like they only put Italian dressing ontop so nothing special. The chicken sandwich was nice and juicy. Amazing service even though it was so busy, my favorite restaurant on the entire strip!! got our food so quickly, and the server helped me pick out which drink to get and i really liked it. its the only restaurant I've ever been to thats given such a perfect portion size. not to little for the price, not too much that i have to carry it around the boardwalk. I got the marinated steak tips with mashed potatoes, my boyfriend got the same thing but with the french fries which were amazing!! the marinade was beautiful. our compliments to the chefs who prepared it! we will be back NEXT anniversary! thank you guys! read more

THE FOOD DID NOT MATCH THE GOOD VIEW AND SERVICE We had dinner at the popular Sea Ketch Restaurant located across the street from Hampton Beach. Accepting no reservations, we waited only 1/2 hour and were seated on the second floor outside patio with a view of the beach. Come here for fun beachside eating - outside dining with a view of the beach, not very clean plastic tables and plastic chairs, noisy cars cruising down Ocean Blvd including a Santa riding a motorcycle, lots of fried seafood and friendly service. We each ordered a bowl of clam chowder ($10 - should have ordered a "cup" that is a smaller bowl), fish and chips (mkt price at around $25), fried calamari ($17), fried oysters ($29) and shrimp scampi ($30). The tasty clam chowder was full of clams and minced potatoes. The delicious fish and chips was fresh lightly fried haddock chunks. It was unbelievable that the same kitchen that served the clam chowder and fish and chips made the other dishes. The hard fried calamari rings and tiny hard fried oysters tasted as if they were fried hours ago and sat under a heat lamp. My friend said the shrimp scampi was not good. read more

Since knowing we were coming to Hampton, I wanted to try the Sea Ketch. The reviews were so mixed I couldn't decide from there and I'm glad I didn't. Upon arrival you're greeted by lovely young staff that seats you according to inside or outside dining. We chose inside and were seated directly into a lovely room that had a magnificent aquarium. We had a lovely young server named Anna whose recommendation of the fish and chips did not disappoint! The fish was so flaky and remarkably not greasy! I had ordered one of their signature drinks, the riptide and it was delicious and appropriately named :) We plan on going back to try their lunch and breakfast and are really looking forward to it! read more

Why is no one talking about how rude the staff is at this restaurant? I went here with my boyfriend last weekend and we walked up, there were 10 ladies standing around at the host desk, we thought maybe they were others waiting to be seated but we then were looked at like we did not belong and one of the girls blatantly rolled her eyes at us before seating us. The waitresses were not as bad but still not nearly as good of an experience I have had at even my local Applebees. I am astonished they get away with treating their customers this way. Unbelievable the way they treat their customers. I asked at the door for a to go order. The first hostess sent me to the pickup area. They don't have the same food of the restaurant. Then, she told me I could come up. I came to order a to go order, and so i did. I asked to them to cut the meet and they said they can't "because it came pre-cooked already" - ??????. While I was waiting, I asked if I could drink something, and they said I couldn't once the order would be ready in 5 minutes. It's being 10 minutes I'm here already, and nothing so far. I mean 5 star service food was always cooked to order great ocean view while enjoying your food today we arrived to find the upstairs closed so you had to wait in line to order self seating on the street level inhaling exhaust fumes from the traffic on the boulevard‍. After our meal, we mentioned the burnt burger to the server, but she said she wished we would have said something earlier (not the right answer). My greek salad w/ Ahi Tuna tasted like it was made with basic, flavorless bagged lettuce. The Ahi Tuna was cooked well, but lacked flavor. My wife's grilled chicken sandwich was ok, but unremarkable. Perhaps is more of a fried food place, but we didn't order fried food. Other than not handling the food complaint properly, the service was cordial/efficient. I am giving this a 2 star because I feel it is overpriced with small portions. My husband and I went last night and we got The Steamers ($26.99) then The Whole Belly Clam Dinner ($36.99). The steamers were good and had a decent portion the whole belly clam dinner was a joke for the price. It was so small and the clams were small with no big belly's. The French fries were small and were okay. We don't mind paying for things at all but we were very disappointed for that price to get that amount. Service was okay, I think they forgot us so we waited a bit then someone came over as were were watching servers go by. It was busy but there were a ton of staff so it was a little unnecessary. I personally would not go back or recommend. I am sure there are better seafood restaurants on the strip. read more

We were excited to try the Sea Ketch after the great reviews posted about their fish and chips and whole belly claims. My fish and chips was awesome. However my husband's $38 plate of fried whole belly clams was disgusting. Most were clam strips, NOT whole belly clams, and all were like rubber. Worst whole belly clam plate he's ever had. When we complained to our waitress, she told the manager. She relayed to us that he was 'sorry.' Seriously, that's it!!! No offer to fix it or take it off the bill? Can't they at least serve food on real plates? At the price they are charging ... They do ID relentlessly. Even to go use the toilet on the second level (coming down from the third level), the bouncer at the staircase required me to show my ID again just to go back up. We had a wonderful experience at Sea Ketch tonight. The drinks were tasty and the bacon wrapped chicken app exceeded expectations. Crispy and delicious. My choice of scallops, shrimp and lobster Alfredo was the best meal I've ever had while visiting Hampton every year with an amazing amount of seafood. Tender, large scallops, big chunks of lobster and lobster claws, along with many large shrimp mixed into a delicious creamy Alfredo. Other dinners of Whole clams and fish and chips were big hits too. This review is for lunch/afternoon visits on the outdoor decks. Solid place on the strip to grab and afternoon bite-especially if you're on the deck! The live music/atmosphere on a nice day really makes the experience here. You're really going for the view, the sun, and the music. After that, the drinks are straightforward (think well drinks/cocktails and a straightforward selection of beer), and the food is ok-typical heavy apps, lunch fare (salads, sandwiches etc), and lots and lots of fried food (specially fried seafood). Was trying to force a Beach Day for the last nice day of the season, it soo chilly & foggy... so No beach really... Kids were hungry & it was a down day with not many people around so we headed across the street to the Sea Ketch. Was with a GF and her son, all of a sudden he kept running Up & Up & UP, OMG the levels of this place never stop... I think we were on like the 16th floor. My big little one has a heights thing so he was a little creeped out at first. It was super windy but cool enough, Patriots game happened to be on so that was cool. Girl was a little all over the place with being on top of things but she was nice enough, food came and portions were crazy and the food was all REALLY good... We went to the top level and sat in the outdoor roof patio. The server was so nice. She came by regularly to check on us and was great with the two kids with us. We got a ton of fried food (clams, haddock, scallops), Mac and cheese, calamari & coconut shrimp, mango blended margaritas. All of the food and drinks were delish!
