Very happy with a small fiberglass repair job on a damaged Boston Whaler hull. Chris stayed within my budget, the crew did a great job.

His strength lies in listening to what you are looking for and being honest about expectations. I would whole heartedly recommend the PT Boat Company to anyone wanting to buy or sell a boat without all of the stress of trying to manage that process yourself.

We bring our 25 years of experience in the marine industry (USCG 100ton Captain and Maritime Instructor) to help you buy your dream boat or sell your current boat! We started Port Townsend Boat Company in 2018 as a way to stay connected to what we love: boats! I grew up playing and working on boats on the Chesapeake Bay, then proceeded to work in Maine, the Caribbean, New Zealand and finally arrived in the PNW in 2003. In 2011 my wife, Kai (a PT local), and I sailed our Ingrid 38, "Velella velella," from Port Townsend to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We then proceeded to live aboard for six winters, while working in PT or Alaska the other half of the year. Once kids came on the scene, we decided it was time to "swallow the anchor" and moved back to Port Townsend full time. We are so thrilled to be back in our favorite port and I'm excited to be able to offer my 25+ years in the marine industry to help people connect with their next boat! A Salty Life is a Great Life!

After asking four other brokers in the Anacortes area if…read morethey could sell our 30-year old 32-foot boat and being told by each one in turn that they couldn't, but they had a name of someone who might, these two stepped up. Not only were they happy to take it on, they ended up having a covered slip we could moor it in while we waited for it to sell. A previous boat we owned took about a year to sell with another broker, and we were listing our boat in the Fall, so I was highly skeptical when they assured us our boat would sell quickly. I didn't think anyone would even look at it before the Spring. I was happily proven wrong. Not only did they report several lookers within weeks of it being listed, they had a prospective buyer by December. We had a potential issue with the closing taking place while we were out of country, but they helped us work around that issue and ensure that the boat ended up sold. If you're looking to sell (or buy) a boat in the La Connor/Anacortes/San Juans area, these are the people to work with.

Our boat was a 53 year old wooden boat and it sold in less than 3 months. Older wooden boats can be on the market for years! I had emailed them 2 times just to get some info about an older Volvo motor and possibilities regarding it's issue. They never responded so I called them yesterday, and after they found the 2nd email, they answered the questions. So I said please respond to the email. Then today I got a call from a Brandon, while he told me of the possibilities on the phone, he would not put anything in writing, i.e. email response, not even that there are a lack of parts for this motor. I've had good luck dealing with these guys in the past, but I don't know about this Brandon guy and his boss. Finally, upset I did call a 3rd time after being hung up by him twice, and he told me after talking to his boss that they would pass on looking at it, even though they work on Volvo boat motors. Very surprised and disappointed with these guys. Honestly, I hate posting negative reviews and prefer to post 5 stars as I often do for people, but I don't know how anybody can say West Coast Marine Services didn't earn this 1 star! Update: I just got off the phone with Volvo Penta
